Foiled by BMW
by Midas243 on 04/09/2024Discovered that the noise from my engine was found to be due to a serious problem that recommended a new engine in my 2021 BMW M2 with another 18 months left on the warranty. That was a shock but nothing compared to the dealer informing me… that BMW had voided the warranty prior to my purchase 6 months earlier. Huge surprise to me. Apparently BMW can void a warranty but keep it a secret!! The online service rated the car 93 out of 94. BMW did offer me $4000 for the car I drove in for service that cost $60,000 6 months ago, or $44,000 if I spent $38,000 to replace the engine. This was my fourth BMW M car and my last. I plan the share my story throughout BMW forums and hopefully deter others from buying a BMW. Great Customer Service and Maintenance
by Marc Wilson on 02/17/2024What can I say, when your reputation proceeds and exceeds of excellence, it just genuinely shows. I reside in New Orleans, but the only dealership there (Peake), could not schedule my annual service on my BMW M5 until late April. It’s Feb… 2024! So I went back to BMW of Mobile who has been servicing all my previous BMW’s. I got an appointment days from when I was scheduling it online. After confirmation of my appointment, I received a call from Reese, BMW Service Advisor for BMW of Mobile. He was friendly and pleasant. He also thoroughly inquired and listened to the issues I was having and what I needed done. It took me longer than expected due to inclement weather traveling to Mobile from New Orleans and I missed my appointment. However, left a message for Reese about the delay. He called me back and was able to accommodate me upon my arrival. As soon as I pulled into the service bay, he warmly greeted me as soon as I got out of the car. Reese and I maintained a good friendly conversation as he checked me in. As an act of customer service and my traveling 2 hours to come to their center, he extended as courtesy, use of a loaner car to make sure I was able to make other scheduled events that I needed to handle the next day. By 12pm the next day from drop off, my car was completed with new brake pads and a full diagnostics confirming my automobile is running at its optimal capability as an M5 should. Washed and cleaned too! I highly recommend the BMW of Mobile (Alabama) Service Center for your BMW maintenance needs. Reese, also Angela, are the best at what they do. They inform you of potential worse case scenarios and options for your car’s maintenance and servicing. Reese is a great communicator who keeps you to date throughout the service process of your car.We appreciate your detailed feedback about your experience with BMW of Mobile's service center. It's wonderful to hear that our reputation for excellence was reflected in your recent visit. Reese, the Service Advisor, displayed friendly and accommodating service, addressing your needs and even providing a loaner car as a courtesy due to your travel distance. The prompt completion of service with new brake pads, a full diagnostic, and a cleaned car by 12 pm the next day is commendable. Your recommendation of BMW of Mobile's Service Center, particularly highlighting Reese and Angela, is valued. Safe travels, and thank you for choosing BMW of Mobile for your maintenance needs!

Tyler Ford - more than just a service

At a baseline all services will be done fairly and timely, however what sets BMW of Mobile apart is the service advisor, Tyler Ford. He went above and… beyond his duties by providing friendly services and timely updates on your car. Besides a routine maintenance or oil change, he has the expertise and knowledge to let you know what is actually going down under the hood. He even provided a Lyft ride to and from the dealer to pick up your car. I would highly recommend to get your service done here because of Tyler. The prices are reasonable and he has always got your back. Give this man a much needed raise!Thank you for your positive feedback! They not only got me in and took care of the tire as well as a much needed oil change. I was able to… get in and out and on my way back out of town in a timely manner. Very nice and professional service as always.It's great to hear that despite the inconvenience of a flat tire, BMW of Mobile provided efficient and professional service! Being able to accommodate both the tire repair and an oil change in a timely manner, especially when you were heading out of town, speaks volumes about our commitment to customer service.
