  • Phenomenal Experience

5 out of 5 starsby Bill Tarter on 03/12/2023

Bought a certified vehicle yesterday. Mike Rossman my sales guy was so experienced and straight up. No stress during my purchase. Kerry in finance secured an excellent rate and had a paperwork completed in 15 minutes and was available right away. Laurence the product specialist made sure I left knowing every feature available. Perfect purchase experience.

  • Shaddy dealership...do not buy ...take your money elsewhere

1 out of 5 starsby Quinknguyen on 04/29/2018

Where do I even begin...I would sum this as the worst car experience and the most shaddy car dealership I have dealt with. First off, I saw their listing on car guru for 2008 White Jeep Wrangler X and contacted them. Jeep sold when I got there. Then miraculously..another white Jeep became available a week later and it turned out to be the same Jeep that was sold..hmmm...but was told that it was a different Jeep..then they confirmed I was in fact same Jeep. Got there again..test drove and saw leaky axle..they confirmed but want to charge me to fix it...crazy. We left but got phone call from salesman, Drew and sales manager, Matt agreed on the price and made the deal. An hour later got the phone call from Drew..that Jeep was sold to another customer...most likely for more money. This dealership is so shaddy and their words meant nothing and sold the Jeep from under us after we had a deal. What a nightmare!!!!

  • Bad battery/Alternator

1 out of 5 starsby KRobinson on 12/09/2017

Don't waste your time. I got a brand new Mazda CX-5 in June 2017, and the battery has died twice in the last week. Called the general manager Leo and he was useless. Spoke to the Vice President and he said it wasn't under warranty to fix it, and since I was belligerent and angry he was not going to help me any further. Now I'm on the hook paying hundreds of bucks for a brand new alternator on a car I don't even own (it's a lease) I would not recommend these [non-permissible content removed] to anybody.

  • Horrible professionalism

    2 out of 5 starsby Steph9270 on 11/16/2017

My sister went here to look to purchase a certified pre owned car. She dealt with a man who knew nothing about the car and then begin to pretend to show us how to “talk down” the pricing only to be the one who shut everything offered down and completely waisted our time needless to say treated us as if we were idiots. So when my sister contacted them to tell them of her experience a woman reached out to her and made an appointment for her to come back in to see the same car. Later in the evening before my sister went back the woman contacted her and said that she would not be in the dealership tonight but my sister decided to go anyway. When she arrived the car was in the front with all the sticker prices off of It and so was the lying saleswoman. It was sold. That’s why the shady sales woman said “she wouldn’t be in that evening” . Instead of being honest and up front about it and not waisting more of my sisters time!!!! She began to show my sister a different car but the car was all keyed up and not in as good as shape as the other car all the meanwhile never talking numbers or prices and giving my sister the run around. I know car salesmen have a reputation of being [non-permissible content removed] but this is a whole other level. Money hungry [non-permissible content removed] . I would not recommend my worst enemy to go there.

  • Terrible Customer Service

    1 out of 5 starsby dshan0217 on 07/05/2016

Terrible customer service, mainly by the finance manager. He was unprofessional and was not accommodating at all. His whole demeanor was downgrading to myself and to other customers, as I overheard how he spoke with them prior to sitting down with me. He not once tried to discuss possible financing options and immediately began talking in an unprofessional tone. We were not looking for an amazing deal but wanted to discuss our options but the way we talked too, I would never come back to this dealership. Nor would I recommend anyone to come to this dealership.

  • Great Staff

    5 out of 5 starsby Michelle_R on 09/19/2015

Mike Rossman was incredibly helpful during the entire process of buying my mazda 3. He always followed up with a phone call and let me know when a certified preowned came onto the lot. He was friendly and answered all of my questions honestly. I ended up buying a new Mazda 3, and with Mike's help, I felt like I got an excellent deal. I highly recommend going Open Road Mazda in EB.

Open Road Mazda and my Sales Consultant Mike Rossman delivered an awesome car to me and a great experience. He really knows his cars and made us all feel comfortable, because I hate car shopping. Jimmy the sales Manager made sure that we were having a good time as well. They came through. I highly recommend the team at Open Road Mazda and especially Mike Rossman.........
  • Mazda CX5

    5 out of 5 starsby umi41486 on 09/06/2015

Thanks to Jay Marter and the entire OR Mazda team for a smooth transaction. This was my first lease, first SUV, and first Mazda. The dealership worked with me to find a vehicle that would suit my needs and, importantly, that I would enjoy.

  • Great dealership

5 out of 5 starsby robynreznik on 09/02/2015

We purchased a 2016 Mazda Cx5 from your dealership. I normally do not find buying a car to be a pleasant experience but I cannot say enough nice things about our salesman Dillion Rich and the dealership in general. Dillion worked on locating the car we wanted and worked with us on our trade in. He was a pleasure to work with. We love our new car and we will be definitely be back! Thank you for making buying a car a pleasant experience.
  • Good experience

    5 out of 5 starsby jeff08816 on 07/08/2015

I had a good experience with this dealer, and with Mark Rodrigo in particular. I knew I wanted a CX-5, and I had a specific car from their inventory in mind when I went there, and they worked with me and ultimately we settled on something that would work for both of us.
  • Great Help

    5 out of 5 starsby rswan74 on 07/08/2015

Mike Rossman was a huge help in going over all the aspects of several models and styles to make sure I made the best choice for me. Mazda 6 is running great and gas mileage is fantastic.
  • I luv my Mazda 3

5 out of 5 starsby Queenmazda on 07/04/2015

The crew at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick were second to none. From my salesperson Mike Rossman to Leo, and Eddie who helped work out my deal.. it was my first car that I ever financed. Mike explained it very well and showed me all the details of my new baby. The finance guy Dave went over all the documents with me and they kept asking me if I needed water :). I had such a good experience and recommend them especially my salesperson Mike......

  • Great Experience with Open Road Mazda

    5 out of 5 starsby Mycx5isgreat on 06/28/2015

We were greeted by Mike Rossman as soon as we walk in. I usually hate car shopping, but everyone there was so accommodating. They offered us beverages and stuff. This was our first lease. Mike explained the lease process versus finance. He went over the Mazda CX-5 with us He took us on a great test drive. Eddie the Sales manager came over and went over the payments with us. These guys made us feel like family. Thanks again to Mike Rossman for taking the time with us to make sure that we were happy, and our car buying experience was the best.
  • Smiling faces take advantage of women

    1 out of 5 starsby stuart59 on 09/10/2014

We signed a lease with these guys with the understanding that we would not be paying a disposition fee. The next day, the F & I guy Mike, called my wife and asked her to stop by to resign one minor thing they missed. He moved the verbiage (handwritten) from one part of the agreement to another area which "legally binds" us to pay if we don't buy the car at lease end. We NEVER were going to buy the car and he knew it. He committed a fraud on my unknowing and trusting wife. I went in to see the GM who wanted me to prove that this was our original agreement. I don't have to prove I'm honorable to these [non-permissible content removed]. I was advised by a very important person in the consumer affairs division of the state of NJ who I am related to, to give them an opportunity to be honorable before I engage. They will be responsible for so much more than $300 by the time we're done that it just goes to show what fools they really are. STAY AWAY FROM THESE [non-permissible content removed]. They will act friendly and smile, and try to take advantage of you anyway they can.

  • Open Road Mazda East Brunswick gave me the best Price on Line

5 out of 5 starsby tesker on 11/15/2010

Open Road East Brunswick gave me the best Price on Line (thank's PAUL RUBIN - On Line Service). Thank's them, I saved lot of time and nerves on negotiations process. Sales Person Mohamed Khan is one of the best. After visiting other Dealers in Range of 50Mls, we war on the Alert and expected some kind of Tricks, because the Price was really too good! We didn't get any Pressure to buy something additional. Two Weeks later we called Mohamed about Registration and Plates, and got them next Day with overnight FedEx. That is our personal Experience.
  • Avoid this Dealership - Terrible Experience

    1.4 out of 5 starsby ldaly22 on 09/29/2010

Open Road Mazda used high pressure sales practices, failed to disclose key conditions of the offer and the verbal representation and agreement was not consistent with written contractual terms. I was pressured into a "lesser model" than my indented purchase. But I was assured that this less expensive purchase and my down payment would absorb all fees (for over mileage on my trade-in lease). 3 weeks after this compromise purchase, I received a bill for $1,200. When I challenged the bill reminding them of our agreement and the contractual discussion that all fess were covered - they refused to take my calls. No return phone calls for 30 days -- which is when the bill was due. I went to ORM in person to challenge their failure to honor verbal agreement and the GM offered to reissue a contract absorbing the amount and sell me another car - meaning I would pay for this as well in a new contract on a new car. Impossible to trust them, so I said no and asked for the money to be reimbursed. I was told I could be given "service credit for double the amount" $3500 value and it would be in writing. My car required 2 service calls and neither were "appropriate for this verbal offer" - never got it in writing. I filed a complaint with BBB and they have forwarded my case to the State. With national car companies counting on us to bail them out of financial ruin one would think that the dealerships would be working harder to be honorable and gain consumer trust. There are many other dealerships - avoid this one.
