The salesperson Mounir was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. He was very straightforward and gave great guidance on car selection. I went to a number of other dealers to see different car models and the overall experience at VW Bethesda was by far the best and most professional of all.

First time customer of Ourisman in Bethesda MD and was delighted by the efficiency and knowledge of their salesman Derrick Reasoner. He was infinitely patient with our questions, explained the features of the car clearly, and demonstrated how they worked, sometimes going over things a second, even third time. Would highly recommend the dealership and Derrick to any prospective buyers.

I purchased a Jetta, and was helped by Bill Martien, who provided my wife and me with a courteous, informative, and very friendly service experience. Ourisman is Fraud

On December 16 2017, I traded in a leased Volvo S60 and purchased a 2017 Volvo S60 from Ourisman Volkswagen and Volvo Bethesda. I had passed my total mileage limit on my leased Volvo and we called Volvo Financial Services to get the $ figure for extra mileage charges. They gave us that number and we included that in the price of the new vehicle I purchased. I kept all the documentation in case of unforeseen issues and I am glad I did. In February, Volvo financial sent me an invoice that I owe the same amount f excess mileage charge! I had to pay that again. I called Matt Berman, the GM of Ourisman Volkswagen and Volvo Bethesda, to get a reimbursement for the double charge. I have have left 5 messages on his voice mail since last week and 4 messages with his assistant. He has not yet returned my messages. I have also sent a detailed email to him a week ago with no response. Evidently, Ourisman has not reimbursed Volvo Car Financial Services for the amount of excess mileage, which they had to obviously do. We have settled the account with Volvo that has informed us that Ourisman should now reimburse us for the excess mileages costs that they have already charged us. I also informed Chris Dowdell, the Sale Manager. of this issue once I received the bill from Volvo in February, and he said that he would immediately take care of it and Ourisman should send us a check for about $4,000. This is nearly 4 weeks ago, and when I called Chris two days ago, he said he has left your dealership and I should contact you and then he rudely hung up on me.

Good Service, Awesome Car

Just bought a new car from this dealership and I love it. The GTI is so much fun to drive and I couldn't imagine the service at Ourisman VW in Bethesda being any better. My salesman was Ben and he took good care of me throughout the car buying process. Ask for him if you are looking for a new VW. He treated me like family and made sure I got the best deal possible.

I just bought my first Volkswagen from Ourisman VW in Bethesda, and I must say this was by far the best experience I have experienced buying a vehicle. Their pricing was the best I found in the area and my salesman Ariel and the sales managers were pleasant and very easy going. I highly recommend this dealership for your next vehicle purchase

they apparently can't figure out if your engine is about to fail

If I could give zero stars for their service department, I would. Took my car in after it failed and left me stranded. They said if I paid $1029 that my car would be good to go. Spent the next week with my car in the shop, and every day they gave me a different reason my car was having the exact same problem. After over a week, they finally figure out that it was really that my timing belt was at failure point (which, coincidentally, there's a class action against VW for), and their best advice is for me to "trade it in." They refused to give me a refund for money spent on useless labor. Apparently, this service department is incapable of figuring out your engine is about to fail until AFTER you spend a small fortune throwing other parts at it. On top of apparently being incompetent, they're rude. Save yourself some money and take it literally anywhere else.

Don't give them information in front about your credit just, as they say, "to check" things. It's a hard hit on your score, not soft. They don't do it on your behalf, but as a attempt to get a loan.

I recently bought a new VW Golf '17 here and I had issues with a few scratches that weren't found during initial inspection. Thankfully, I was working with Derrick N. who treated the situation with upmost importance and respect. He immediately make plans to have it fixed and issued a loaner. Be sure to ask for him if you are at Ourisman in Bethesda.

I recently purchased a car from Ariel and had a great experience. We discussed the cost over the phone and he quickly emailed a quote to me with all fees and costs listed which is great because some dealerships will talk to you about base price only. The quote was the best one I received from several dealerships and it was true to the final cost. Financing and warranty information was straightforward and nobody was pushy. Good job, would go back.

Great deal on a new golf GTI

I went to Ourisman VW of Bethesda recently looking to purchase a new car. When I walked in the door I was paired with Abraham K. a sales consultant with the dealer. Abraham was great, really personable, and helped me navigate the process of purchasing my first new car. He was available to answer all of my questions, and I felt as if he truly advocated on my behalf during the entire process. I ended up purchasing a 2017 golf GTI S, and have been throughly enjoying it so far. Overall I think this dealership is pretty fair and offers very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend speaking with Abraham as I found him a great person to work with. My only word of caution is that after purchasing a new car, the upper management (not my sales consultant) spent a great deal of my time, trying to sell me on extended warranties, and after market paint sealants/undercoating, that largely seemed unnecessary and costly. I did not appreciate the time it took, or the doubt it put into my mind about the reliability of the new car I purchased. But still on the whole, the experience was quite a good one, and the price could not be beat.

With no doubts Ourisman Bethesda is the best - great price, very professional and friendly. An Exceptional Car Buying Experience

This was undoubtedly the best auto buying experience I have ever had, and at age 73, I have had many. The sales consultant, Ariel Berenstein, was thoroughly professional, completely transparent and helpful in every way. His immediate supervisor Matt was equally professional and considerate, as was the finance guy Vitale. The Volvo XC60 has many advanced technological aspects and Ariel was very patient, thorough and knowledgeable in helping my wife and I understand what without this excellent assistance would have been daunting to get on top of without such excellent tutoring.. Anyway, I cannot praise the organization and people we dealt with enough. In fact, the experience was such a pleasure that two days after we purchased, we went back to the dealership and bought another of the same cars. This was never our plan, but we decided to move up our car-buying time schedule because every aspect of the first transaction, including a very fair price and a non-pushy attitude by Ariel and his colleagues,combined to make the first experience such an exceptional one. These guys are the best and I have to think that this is at least partially so because of the pro-customer cultural that the company fosters.

Slim Slam on the lease

Salesman was fine, test drive fine, even the price negotiation was smooth enough.... and then the actual deal struck. Ludicrous rates on a 36/12 lease wherein a $25K negotiated price suddenly became HIGH $400s per month even with significant capital reduction on my part... like $485. Turns out they used a MF (money factor of .0036 when my other dealer used .0022) more than 50% higher. Pointing this out as I had a lease calculator on my laptop on the desk to show him... the finance guy had a hissy fit, so I walked away. Bottom line I next day EXACT SAME terms at another local dealer.... $200 less per month. That's correct, $200 less than this dealer. Slim slam defined as in decent price terrible deal. Avoid!

Poor service and waste of time

I have made two online appointments with the center in Bethesda, both times for relatively simple services: mainly an oil change and low tire pressure. I also needed to have the suction pump and side mirror light bulb replaced, but was notified in advance that those parts would need to be ordered and therefore would not be ready. Both times, I made appointments a week in advance and indicated that I would wait on site for the service to be completed. The first time, when I arrived for my appointment, I was turned away at the door, having been told there was no way for my car to be serviced that day, because of the "holiday" rush. The second time, just this past week, I was told the service would take a couple of hours and was shuttled for a nearby shopping center to wait. After three hours there, I called the center for an update, was told I would be called back with an update, but was never called again. I arranged for the shuttle to pick me up and when I arrived back at the center, my car had still not been touched. I waited for two more hours, only to be told that my car would maybe be gotten to by the end of the day and that there were unfortunately no rental cars for me to use. I then left. Since then, my online service profile has been updated with false information that indicated that the service I had requested was completed even though my car was not serviced at all, perhaps to clear the center's records of any incomplete appointments.
