a dealer who actually did what they said they'd do

onCooper the sales rep answered questions and gave me straight forward responses, all through email and all of which she honored. The paperwork was in finance when I arrived and an hour later I drove away in the car she promised at the price she promised. Was worth the extra Hour in traffic .

Buying Experience

onGot the quote online. Went down to Mini of Monrovia. Test drive the car and have a free grill cheese. The process of the paperwork was painless because the price quoted was the price of the car. No back and forth with pricing. Got my new mini within 2-3 hours.

onI ordered a mini cooper countryman jcw all4 after seeing it at Mini of Monrovia. It took 3 months, but was worth the wait. Sam was wonderful in keeping me updated on my order and informed me immediately after the car arrived. I picked it up and was out the door in less than 3 hours. The best experience in buying a car ever. I highly recommend the wonderful team at Mini of Monrovia.

In tears each visit
by 06/23/2008
onRequested spare key along with purchase of used vehicle. Numerous excuses; will contact previous owner, previous owner out of country, will order a key. After numerous visits, got key, electronically did not unlock or open door. "Needs to be programmed". Due to time difference between Ca and Europe, was told to leave car overnight. No loaner. Talked with so-called "customer care rep". Sales said it's a Parts problem, Parts said it's a Service problem. Service said it was not their problem. Not permitted to talk with owner of dealership. Sat in sales area and cried. Left again in tears. Wrong key sent from distributor, couldn't program it. Arrived with camping gear, going to stay at dealership until I got my key. Saying phrases like, "Recission of contract, Report dealership to DVM, shutdown while investigate". This time got loaner car, overnight programming of key, All of this took 15 months, eight roundtrips to dealer at 60 miles = 480 miles. Indescribable levels of frustration.

Don't waste your time

onWhat a JOKE. I walked into the dealership in hopes of purchasing my MINI. I was ready...more than ready. I knew exactly what I wanted, what interest rate I wanted, and what I could pay. I was greeted by a very friendly salesman named Leon who was kind enough to sit down with me, discuss the cars they had available, and give me a test drive. Wow! Everything seemed to be going perfect..until it came to the trade in of my car. They appraised my car for a whopping $3000. Yes, this was shockingly low...but that wasn't the main problem. They tried accusing that the hood of my car had been replaced. Absolutely FALSE. My temper went through the roof and I asked for them to prove it. Did I get proof? No. What I go was a stereotypical sales manager coming in to "explain" how they could lower my interest rate and give me a longer loan. He spoke to me as if I didn't know math. Being a young female, I was completely talked down to. Then he made a big deal out of saying he could give me $200 off of the car. How laughable! Little did he know that they were dealing with an assertive woman who was not about to get screwed. All they could do is back pedal when I asked them why they were appraising my car so low and why they are saying my hood was replaced. After enough stress and frustration, I took my business to Universal City MINI. Go there. The cars are marked up with extra amenities...but the service is worth it.
