Best vehicle I’ve ever owned

Bought a used 2007 with 174,000 miles and looks and feels brand new. I’ve owned many vehicle and this is my favorite by far. Smoothest ride, love the height, only vehicle made that back window rolls down which is great, and love that body is narrow. Very solid and well made!

A Great Decision

Purchased Jan 2007, new. Current milage 50k. Never in for repairs, just scheduled maintenance. Used as a tow vehicle for boats and camping trailer. Has 4wd. As of Jan 2017, it remains a great decision, reliable and economical. Update July 2017- I took a test drive in a 2017 model- it was quiet and had more technology. It did not have two level load area, running boards, tow package or sun roof. Now sunroof is available only with leather upholstery. So it cost more and had fewer features. Glad I'm not looking to replace it. Toyota has a reputation for quality.. so I just replaced the original battery, bought another house battery. Eleven years of service unbelievable! Update 2018- I learned that all 5 of the tire pressure monitoring devices have quit. At a cost of $100/unit this is a $700 dealership repair including labor. This is a significant cost for a job that a $5 gauge will perform. The vehicle remains an excellent decision and recently the dealership phoned to inquire about purchasing it. July 2019- Vehicle continues to provide excellent service, flushed brakes, changed oil, dealership calls frequently looking to acquire it and says " I'm eligible for an upgrade". Translation- they're willing to sell me a vehicle.

I had a 87 bmw but I love this SUV

Originally, I wanted a lexus RX 350 but I really needed a practical family car to transport my teenagers. I have loved this car. My friends with mercedes are asking me if I like it. Yes, I really do. Just got it and someone keyed my car. No problem, I do have insurance. It's a shame someone would do that to my beautiful red 4Runner. Just wish it had a light on the window control panel. When it is dark, I can't find the correct button. I also wish it got a little better gas mileage and had a panel that shows how much gas I was using per mileage and how much gas/miles left to use.

I love my SUV, smooth ride and spacy cabin especially 2nd row seating. It looks like a Lexus and rides better than a Lexus.

My 3rd 4Runner - Bullet Proof as Usual

Just purchased my first new car ever and my 3rd 4runner (first baby on the way!). I have always been a used car guy, can't stand new vehicles depreciating 10 - 20% the moment you drive it off the lot. But if any SUV holds it value and limits "day one depreciation" its the 4Runner. My first 2 4Runners, an 87 and a 94 with combined mileage of 565K were rock solid and my new 07 holds true. Much better ride and handeling in this new version thanks to an increase in 4 inches in width. The 4WD V6 is plenty powerful for my driving needs and the sport package looks sharp. Averaging 19 MPG - wish could be better. Only complaint is that its my wife's and future child's daily driver and not mine.
