by zhenochs on 11/26/2017At the end of October I purchased a new CR-V 2017 LX AWD from Sumner Honda. Jorge N was the salesman but I am pretty sure The Good and The Bad applies equally to all other salespeople there. The Good: - Their website advertised the… cheapest prices among all the sites I checked from SeaTac to Lynnwood. In fact, I think their price was below invoice. The next best price was $1200 higher and the salesman told me that most likely they will force me buy $900 worth of upgrades I don't need. - I asked over the phone whether they honor the website price w/o any useless upgrades. The salesman Jorge N. told me that they would not force me to buy anything on top of what the website advertises. - In the end they did try to push a bunch of useless stuff on me (upgrades, "investment package" etc) but after I said "no" to everything, I got my CR-V at the price from the website, the below the invoice price! The Bad: - Even after being reassured over the phone/web that nobody will try to press you to buy extras, get ready for some pressure. The salesperson will "go to talk to his manager" over and over again. They even resort to lame reasons like: "they upgrades are already there, we cannot remove them", to which you simply say: "if the upgrades were in the car that you advertised on the website, I will take them for the advertised price". - In all my paperwork they put down Odometer: 16 miles. I filled the paperwork, left a check and said I would pick the car up in a week. When I picked the car and drove it home, I realized that at the time I picked it up at Sumner the Odometer was 370 miles! That's over 350 miles over the paperwork! Most likely it was there before, I don't know. But the paperwork says 16! When I tried to contact Sumner over the phone and e-mail everybody told me: "that's no big deal, if you want, we can fix the paperwork". Huh? I want them to fix the mileage on my "new" car. - When I was picking the car, Jorge N. gave me just 1 key. When I asked in surprise where is the second, Jorge replied: "only 1 key comes with this lower-end model". OK, I swallowed that. Later, when I went to Honda of Bellevue to make another key (3 hours of my life + $135), they told me that every single Honda, even the lowest end model/trim comes with at least 2 driver keys! When I contacted Jorge, I got no reply. - I bought SkyLink (sort of Lojack) from them. They did install the device it but forgot to register with Skylink, causing me to waste some of my time on Skylink website and on the phone. Overall, I saved $1200 over the nearest competitor. Would I settle for 350 mile car and just 1 key for $1200 savings if I knew about them upfront? Likely Yes. But Sumner dealer recovered some for those $1200 behind my back through all sorts of little tricks and for that they cannot get more than 3 stars.Love Our CRV!
