  • What you'd expect from car sales... GAMES

I went into this dealer with an offer letter to trade in/purchase my old car that I had bought with them.... the kind with the fake check. I decided I would flesh it out feeling that it was too good to be true, and sure enough, the ignored the letter and began playing games as if I just wanted to trade my car in. The initial offer? $16k... what did the letter say? $25k! What a joke! BUT... the games didn't end there. The salesman was seemingly patient despite my frustration with the dealer and sales manager, but after the entire experience was done and over with, I couldn't help but feel that I got played.

  • Typical car buying nightmare.

The salesman kept dropping f bombs in front of my wife and daughter. They sold us the typical scammy dealer added options like super magical wax and theft protection door stickers. They had previously installed them and led us to believe they were non- negotiable. They also sold us a prepaid maintenance plan that was about $1300 overpriced. Thankfully I didn't fall for the worthless extended warranty. It's funny, they tell you that the car is the most awesome car ever built and that it will last forever and save whales. Then they tell you you need to buy an expensive warranty because the car will explode as soon as the warranty is up. Inexplicably the cost of the warranty goes down every time you say no thanks. Of course I should have done my research before hand, but how often do you buy a car? I spent my research time on the car not dealer tactics. The fact that they are willing to resort to the typical Barnum like antics and I fell for it makes me the sucker of the minute. Poor ethics means no future business from them. Ever.
