All I had to do was tell him what I'm interested in and… what price range I'm looking at spending total and paying monthly. Mr. Alex Madueno, Product Specialist was courteous, friendly and very professional. Michaela was also very… helpful answering many of our questions. Taz walked me around the dealership and found an SUV that I couldnt walk away from! He offered me a deal I… couldn't resist on a 2017 Nissan Rogue. Taz explained everything in detail and was very patient. I spent a couple hours looking at vehicles before I said yes. Everyone at the dealership are friendly and it's an inviting environment. I would recommend Koons Automotive of Woodbridge to my family and friends!Buyer beware!!!!!!
by BMW_Guy4 on 03/31/2018Hello, let me start with my first opinion of Koons of Woodbridge. The sales person, Elliotte Adams wasnt prepared for my visit to look at the 2014 BMW 535i xDrive Grand Turismo. I drove the vehicle on March 28th, 2018. I saw the car on… Truecar.com, the Truecar price was $23,850, which I got a certificate for that guaranteed price from Koons of Woodbridge. After discussing the price, Koons added an additional $1995.00 to the price of the car, which was classified as Pre-Delivery Inspection(PDI). I asked the Eillotte, what was this?? He stated that its the cost of the car being inspected, by a company that inspect all of their vehicles. I asked him, how come I had to pay a PDI fee for the car, the vehicle should have been inspected before they tried to sell the car to me. I then asked if they offer a military discount, he went back to talk to his GM. The GM took a $1000.00 off the PDI. Once again, I asked him, why do I have to pay for this PDI fee. He said, because it the cost of the inspection of the vehicle. Now, Elliotte asked me to name a price, I wrote down $21000.00, he went back to talk to the GM again, he said that the GM will talk to me. The GM came out of his office and showed me the cost that they paid for the vehicle and the average cost for that year and model of the vehicle. Yes, Koons had the best price for the vehicle, but the additional cost of the PDI shouldnt be included in my sale. The dealership has an obligation to ensure that the cars are inspected prior to advertising vehicle for sale. The GM told me that the PDI shouldnt be on the breakdown, but Elliotte tried to sale it to me and the GM knocked off $1000.00 off the PDI earlier doing my seat down with Elliotte, so he should have told the sales person to take it off, after I asked about the PDI. So, the GM lied to me about the PDI fee. After the GM talked to me and showed me on the breakdown of the cost and average sale of the type and model. He gave me the price of $23,850 with no military discount. I was there for two hours and I had to leave, I told him that I would be back on Thursday March 29th, 2018, because the price wasnt right with me. I returned to the dealership to take about the price again with the GM, but this time, I found the same car on Edmunds.com, it was $500 dollars cheaper than the certificate that I had from Truecar.com. The GM lowered the price to $23,350, but still would give/offer me a military discount. I told him, before I even buy the car, that I would need to have it inspected by a BMW car shop. They gave me two days with car to have it inspected and to come back with a decision. When they were trying to give me the car that evening, they couldnt find the keys for the vehicle. It took them over 30 minutes to figure out that Elliotte had the keys from the day before. With the delays, I was frustrated with them and their service, I told the GM that I didnt want the car anymore and that I was going home. Luckily, for them Elliotte lived close to the dealership. When they got the keys, I was ready to go home, but the GM convinced me to take the car and test it out. I asked them once again, because I signed all of the paperwork, if they are problems, the car will be returned, and I would not be liable for the purchase of the vehicle. I agreed, and they gassed the car up for me and told me to have a nice night. I started to drive home, within 5 minutes, every light was on the dash board. The next morning, when I left home, within the first 5 minutes lights came back again. That morning, I dropped the car off to have the car inspected. There were two types of inspection done on the car. The first one was the Autologic Quick Test Report there were 44 faults with the modules. The second one, a visual inspection, check brake pads, battery fluid level, charge and mounting, brake hoses and lines, CV joints, coolant level, drive axles, bearings and joints, drive/propeller shaft, exhaust system, transmission fluid, fuel lines, lighting and horns, PCV systems, power steering fluid, tires, washer fluid delivery system, windshield and headlight wipers, and the test drive of the car. The outcome of this second inspection, found the following issues: Need new front wipers, front right tire is wearing more on the inside, transmission mount is leaking, the mount needs to be replace, and rear tires are almost due for replacement. When I received the report, I contact Elliotte to tell him that BMW specialist shop found a lot of issues with the car. Elliotte asked me to find out on how much it would cost to fix all the issues. I told Elliotte, that it will take a longer time for them to do a full inspection of the car, because it would require them to take things apart. I told him that I would be bringing it back. Then I called the Finance person, who was the acting manager, due to the GM being off that day, and explain to him that I will be bring the vehicle back. He said okay, and they didnt have a problem. When I got to the dealership, I showed them the report that I received from the BMW Specialist shop. They made a copy of the report and then they told me that they would look into the repairs and get back to me. I told them, that I didnt want the car anymore, due to the issues. They asked if I get the car repaired, they would come down on the price, I said no. I gave them the keys and ensured that I wasnt responsible for the car anymore, I was told that I am good. I left the dealership and went home. Last note, I received a call today (Saturday March 31st, 2018) from them, not remembering that I was the same guy who returned it, asked me if I was still interested in it. They have my name off the Edmunds.com certificate request. This tells me that Koons may try to resell this car again to somebody else. The quick fix for the lights displaying on the dash..would be a quick battery disconnect. So, if you are reading this, please stay away from Koons of Woodbridge. I recommend that you have someone take a second look at the vehicle status. They should receive a negative five star, but the website forces me to mark at least one star.Awesome folks
