Bait and Switch
by Still Looking on 01/28/2024The Bait - Lindsay Ram baits you to dealership with an online "Love It" price which appears to be a very deep discount from MSRP and via the online listing fine print it appears that there even deeper discounts to be earned if the buyer… qualifies. The Switch - During the sales process however the "Love It" deep discount gets severely reduced by ineligible discount categories and unexpected fees. For example, destination charge is a line item on the vehicle's window sticker and included in manufacturer's MSRP. Lindsay's additional transaction fees included almost $2000 in transportation cost which were already in MSRP. The sales manager's explanation was that the window sticker destination charge is merely to get the vehicle from Mexico to California. According to him the additional transportation charge is to get the vehicle from California to Virginia. This is absolutely untrue. Wasted an afternoon but walked away from this Bat and Switch.No interest in contacting James. Instead I request that James give detailed line item explanation on how an advertised "Love It" price becomes a $10,000 higher "Actual" price before adding tags, tax and registration costs.

Beware fine print!
by John H on 08/06/2022As usual, finance people try to talk you into buying costly warranty and service packages. When it was clear I was not interested, notable change in attitude and couldn’t get me out the door quickly enough. Sales also full of gimmicks.… Great sales price starting with MSRP, which includes the delivery charges, but when you accept the “Love it” price, fine print says this price is exclusive of delivery charges. They also wanted to add additional delivery costs due to market issues. So you start with what you think is good price and find out in small print the price is loaded all all manner of conditions. Amazing Service!

The first salesman to greet me was Jose Marquez. Immediately, the way he carried… himself and the conversation was exceptional. I was a bit awestruck by the way he truly was helping me out. I have these notions that all salesman want to do is make a sale, but Jose changed that mindset. He fully informed me of my options, did not try to hustle a buy out of me, and walked me through the entire process. I could not believe the exceptional service this guy was providing me. Well mannered, and truly is passionate about his work. I drove off the lot in a brand new car. The financial department was very easygoing as well. I drove 2.5 hrs and met with Omar who was great! From the start to the successful… finish, it was a professional and pleasurable experience. I was prepared to keep my current car and sell it privately, but they even gave me a reasonable & fair trade in price for my car so I did that too.
