    Karen Escalante made all the difference when it came to buying a new car at Koons Ford Falls Church. Her outgoing nature, knowledge, and dedication to explaining the entire process from start to finish truly set a new standard for me when deciding on buying a new car. It's wonderful when a dealership, like Koons Ford Falls Church, creates an atmosphere where you feel right at home and prioritizes excellent customer service. Knowing that the finance team was also transparent and focused on getting me the best deal possible seals the positive experience.     Stay away! Fraudulent, deceptive, and misleading sales practices here and lick and stick inspections. Don’t make my mistake and not see the reviews on dealerrater.com. Search koons falls church ford and not koons ford falls church. They’ll sell you on the Koons used car guarantee stating that they do an extra thorough multipoint inspection and have a no hassle exchange policy if you find anything wrong after purchase. But that program will be a $1000 line item when you go to negotiate a sales price and actually only covers very specific items. Should you need to use the program, you’ll be met with so many delays, rude and dismissive sales people, and lack of response that it’s impossible to use the program. In our experience, the multipoint inspection was a lick and stick state inspection. We bought a car with 30,000 miles and now have to fork up over $3000 in repairs just to get it to pass Maryland inspection. Koons won’t do anything. It’s been a total headache and an absolute waste of time and energy trying to get them to honor the agreement. 50 days later and they still won’t remediate the situation so we can get the car titled in Maryland. If you decide to look at a used car here, don’t trust the Koons name and make sure you have your trusted mechanic inspect the car before you buy it! But honestly you’re much better off taking your business to one of the hundreds of other dealers in the area.

    Beware that the pricing you see on their website may not agree with the price you pay. Sergio was an excellent sales representative and I will refer you to him when buying a car for Koons. I did not feel that all of the staff were as friendly as Sergio except for one woman who kept checking in with me to see if I needed anything or if I needed a beverage.

    Worked hard to make the deal happen. Salesman was personable and responsive without being pushy, which helped put me at ease. He was also very helpful after the sale, explaining how the car worked and even helped me find an accessory I could not find on Ford.com. Overall a very positive experience.

    UPDATE: I still do not have my car back after 2 and a half weeks. After Gail from customer service called me and promised to get back to me, she also started ignoring my voicemails and email. I have had to go twice in person to the dealership only to be told the car would be done on friday, then again it would be done today and of course I have no call and nobody picking up the phone. Stay away from this dealership unless you want to waste weeks of your time and be without a car for weeks with no loaner car, while you still make payments for the car you don’t even have!!!! Absolutely unbelievable **** Would recommend everyone to STAY AWAY from this dealership. Maybe if the car you buy doesn’t have any issues you’ll be ok. I bought a car a month ago and there was no alignment done and also lane departure feature was not working. I tried contacting Deybi who sold me the car, he hasn’t answered any calls and then finally started answering my texts only to ignore those as well. After trying to get in touch with anyone else who could help me I have only been sent to multiple voicemails with no call back. Finally I had to drive there to get any help, and spoke to the sales manager Ghani and was told to leave the car and it would be done in a few days. Now it’s been a week and I keep calling and emailing and being ignored again and nobody seems to know where my car is, I keep being transferred to voicemails or if I actually manage to speak to someone they say they will talk to the manager and he will call me back, which never happens. Their customer service is ridiculous, so good luck trying to contact them if you have any issues.

    My work schedule isn’t the most conducive for purchasing a vehicle but Jose was great in allowing me the freedom to follow up when I had the time. Texting is typically my preferred contact method and Jose worked with me via text most of the process. He delivered the vehicle as promised and had most of the paperwork established to sign electronically. This took hours off the typical car purchasing process which is what shied me away from buying for the past few months.

  • Bait and Switch

    If I could give this place a negative review I would. We specifically went in with financing in place, only needed to show the letter with the reference number. They didn't like that we didn't want any of their extended warranties, which seemed to throw the finance guy off. After repeatedly hearing from our finance bank (VIN SPECIFIC) I knew enough to take a screen shot of the financing offering for VIN SPECIFIC vehicle which was yet another clog in it, because he was offering different terms. Once I showed him the terms on my phone, suddenly we got it corrected. We left with the company in place, and signed documents, the next day, we start getting requested for more documents, which had never been asked for before, and we financed before with the same company. (capital one.). The documents we left with showed we had a loan in place with Capital One. Only to find out that they weren't matching, now, and the car dealer wanted to send it to Wells Fargo, which they did, because I refused to send copies of social security numbers through an unsecured email. Keeping in mind we have been banking Cap One for over 20 years, and knew they already had our numbers with the m any account. So, bait and switch operation. And two months running, Wells Fargo can't track payments through bill pay. What a joke. We will never use Wells Fargo again, And if you're smart you won't purchase from Koons... Do your research .....

    • I love how the dealer tries to act like they didn't mean to mess this up. They only try to fix and after posted reviews. As I have emails with the very person posting the comment showing I explained what was happening and NOTHING was done fix except send it to another bank. There were many options to fix, you could have sent a courier to retrieve the document that they supposedly wanted. You chose not to go that route. And now you don't like being on blast for it. People don't use this dealer, or use them at your own peril....

    I recently purchased an F150 from Freddie at Koons Ford in Falls Church. Freddies approach was sincere and easygoing he has a lot of sales experience and I never felt pressured to purchase a vehicle. My overall experience was wonderful. They provided all the proper information and made everything quick and easy. Nick the sales manager was wonderful to work with extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. I plan on purchasing from them in the future. I will recommend this dealership to anyone that asks me about my trunk. Thanks again regards Robert K Castillo

    Very Disappointed! Dishonest and a lack of integrity is what I experienced! Do not do business with the salesman (Russle Walker) and Sales Manager (Joseph Bond). History: I purchased a New F-150 from this dealership in Feb 15. This deal was great! My wife was looking into purchasing a new Expedition. I'm a returning customer...you'd think that would have counted for something. I am a very informed buyer and wanted to do a direct deal with this dealership. I initially sought out this dealership first. Mr. Walker was slow in responding to my emails initially, which should have been an indicator that he must have met his quota for the month. I have been searching other dealerships and have been getting quotes from other dealerships for comparison. Mr. Walker was continually trying to up-sell me other models. It wasn't until I sent him a window sticker from another dealership that he finally sent me the information for one (which he said he could sell me) that was with the options I wanted and within my price range. I have been very clear with him and the sales manager on what my expectations were and what I expected to get for trade in of my vehicle. They had my entire vehicle's information and could have gotten me a rough estimate on pricing without having me drive 45 minutes one-way just to outright lie to me just to get me into the dealership. I have emails from Mr. Walker and the Manager Mr. Bond stating that they could, "come close" to what I was expecting for trade-in. I'm sorry but "come close" is not 10K off from that price. It took an hour and a half for them to figure this out. However, my disappointment didn't just end there... Mr. Walker appeared to have completely forgotten why I was there. I must have sent him at least 6 emails with duplicate information on what I wanted and was looking for. However, when my wife and I arrived....no vehicle...not that it was offsite at their remote parking lot...he had no idea where the vehicle was, remember he said he could sell me this vehicle and even sent me the window sticker. Really!! I can only assume the dealership pulled a random window sticker off the net and couldn't figure out where it came from. This was just a greasy salesman attempt to try to sell me a more expensive model by getting me into the dealership. It wasn't until I was very blunt with what I was going to pay, my trade in value, interest rate and incentives did they break out the trade-in value 10K under what I was expecting. Had Mr. Walker or the Sales manager Mr. Bond been upfront with their assessment of my trade-in (which we know can be done with the VIN and options) without seeing the vehicle, I would not have come into the dealership and wasted an entire morning having my intelligence insulted. If either of these two had been honest from the start I would not have been upset or disappointed. Had they told me they could not sell me a car I was looking for, we may have looked at other option within the dealership or waited until they got in a vehicle which closely matched what I was looking for. But to know I was coming in and not even prepare for my arrival and wasting so much of my time is inexcusable. If the dealership was upfront and honest they would have retained me as a customer...maybe not this month but in the future. I will not recommend this dealership to any family or friends, ever. I cannot do business with folks who lack integrity or are swindlers.

    We bought our Explorer at Koons because of Azeez Yinusa's professionalism, hard work and integrity. He was patient not pushing us to accept any options we didn't want and worked tirelessly (literally he would send an email at midnight) to help locate the exact options and colors we wanted. He was assisted by Tony when he wasn't there and Tony was also very very helpful. And the service managers were also very friendly and worked with me on my needs.

    Has been roughly 6 weeks since my Koons purchase and my local Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach Ford dealers are still advertising discount prices on the identical truck I purchased for at least $3500 more than I paid at Koons. Just made my first payment and am already anxious for my next Koons purchase. Look and test drive locally. Make your model decision. Then take a Saturday drive to Koons and buy that truck. Smile in style all the way home.
