Horrible Experience
by melanie34 on 04/14/2016I am so disappointed in the service I received from Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Sandy. At one of the most stressful points in my life (I had just separated from my husband) I came to the dealership to trade in my vehicle that I… would no longer be able to afford on my own. My ex-husband and I had purchased two Jeeps from this dealership prior to the split and although the service packages are horrible, the service while purchasing the cars was fine. I was assisted by the same sales representative that had sold us the two Jeeps. He recognized me and I felt comfortable to tell him my situation and why I was forced to get rid of my Jeep and find a car that would be more affordable on my income alone. Brad (the salesman) found me a Hyundai Veracruz that his friend had owned prior and vouched for it's care and quality. The car met my needs and was significantly cheaper payments than my Jeep so I hastily purchased the car. I know it is my responsibility to be an informed buyer, however I was beyond stressed trying to figure out how I'd make my car payment on the Jeep, I have never purchased a vehicle without my ex-husband and I was completely alone. I have only owned this car for a little over a year and within that year the steering wheel fluid had to be flushed because it was so dirty, tires had to be replaced , brakes replaced, the button that opens the gas gauge broke, the weather strip on the sun roof fell off and today on a beautiful rainy spring day the motor for the windshield wipers stopped working so the wipers are no longer operational. To add insult to injury, Brad sold me a car for 10,000 more than what the car was worth. Good job Brad! You successfully preyed on a vulnerable young woman who had no idea what she was doing and did so at one of the lowest points of her life. I was sold a colossal piece of crap. I thought Larry H. Miller certified all of their used vehicles?? Oh and the icing on the cake, he asked for my phone number when it was all said and done. Total [non-permissible content removed] and overall horrible human being for doing what he did. But if anything positive came out of this was the life lesson I learned. I was the buyer and should have understood everything I was doing. Lesson learned. This post if for anyone else that would like to purchase a car and to learn from my mistake. Find a better dealership to do business with. Just because it's a lower car payment, doesn't mean it's a better deal.Colby Campbell is AWESOME!

by giddygirl10 on 02/10/2016We didn't intend to purchase a new vehicle the day we bought our brand new 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sahara! Our intentions were to just test drive and see if we liked it or not! We were not pressured at all and ended up negotiating a fair trade… in value for my 1999 Ford Explorer with almost 200,000 miles! Our sales rep, Paul, represented the company very well and answered all our questions and was very professional. And Jon was good at negotiating numbers and getting us into a payment that we can afford! I've never owned a brand new vehicle or Jeep Wrangler and was very excited driving it off the lot!! Thank you all for helping us get into a vehicle that will fit our needs for many years to come!! Price was within hundreds of each other however Jeff at LHM sandy was by far the most responsive yet didn't act like your typical car sales individual. Really seemed like he cared about my… budget. I didn't get the rubi I wanted but it was a good compromise.Congratulations on your new purchase of the Jeep! Literally, the only salesperson that actually listened to me!!! She listened to what I wanted and made it… happen. She told me what my options were, made other suggestions, but did not push another car I was not thinking of on me. Then figured out how to get the car I wanted within a reasonable price range for my budget. She also went out of her way to pick up two cars for me to see and decide on from affiliated dealerships! When the first one didn't work out, she found another and bought it in. I am very happy with my Jeep Cherokee, that I worked with Katie, and came to the right dealership....FINALLY!!!Thank you for leaving this review and for sharing your experience with us. Outstanding Experience

He had a thorough knowledge of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, answering our questions in an understandable way and clarifying misconceptions which we had. He was professional, patient, relaxed, and… personable and spent a great deal of time with us from introducing himself to waving good-by to us as we drove our new car off the lot. He went the extra mile in finding us the car with the features we wanted. The qualities we most appreciated about John were his honesty and ethics....we felt he was someone we could trust. After we purchased the car he patiently sat in the car with us and reviewed all of its features, setting some that we were unsure about. Several times he told us that if we had any questions to please come by and see him or give him a call. We also had a great experience with the gentleman we sat with to sign the final documents. His name was Marian (Romanian). He also was very personable and professional. We also want to complement the fellow who detailed our car. I believe he was from Mexico. He did a wonderful job. As we talked about our experience in purchasing our car, we discovered one very desirable quality that all three of these gentlemen had in common--they were all happy!!!! That says a lot about them as individuals and a lot about the company they work for. Maybe a guy I know, but what about trust?

I was lead to believe that I was gettting year end specials and free bonuses and got an extra $3,000 added to my contract. Yeah, I know my own fault… for not looking closer, but after getting excited about the rebates and trade in, I let my guard down and TKO. And the best part is I drove past two other dealers to take this pounding!! They are good. [violative content deleted] The service department is friendly but slow. I purchased a service contract for routine maintenance, but because of the 2 hours it took to do an oil change I couldn't afford the time after the drive to and from the dealership and stop using it.So where did the extra $3000 come in to play? Did you buy an extended warranty? Was it added to pay for tax, title and licensing? It sounds like you got a great deal but you shouldn't blame the dealer asking if you would like to protect your purchase or for paying the government their share of the pie. My advice: when you purchase a vehicle (new or used) keep in mind that (A) - taxes, titling and licensing of the vehicle is part of the process and something that simply cannot be overlooked or waived; and (B) - service contracts and warranty products DO protect you during your ownership of the vehicle. Don't expect much
by jjjhcas on 06/28/2011updated 06/06/2025Me and my husband went in with our two children to get a price on a car we were interested in, after four hours it was 9 at night and we told them that we had to go, the sales manager came out and pushed and was very rude and not… understanding that we had to children to feed and put to bed. The next day we got a phone call saying they were sorry and ended up with a good deal for us on the car. So we bought the car with promises of entertainment packages galore to be sent out directly. Here we are two weeks later and nothing, tried calling and emailing, had to threaten to contact bbb before i got results. Word to the wise ... not child friendly and don't keep promises. Once you buy a car wait until you receive everything promised before giving them a review. Never will buy a car again or recommend this dealer to anyone.Deceived
by debwinchester on 03/27/2013updated 06/06/2025I purchased a used car from Larry H. Miller in Sandy, Utah, and even though it was a 2010 and looked wonderful it was a wrecked car made to look great. This was my 3rd purchase from "Gus Sr"... so I let my guard down and trusted him. I… couldnt figure out why the new 600 dollar tires wore funny. Took them back to the tire place and they gave me new... next thing I know, they are wearing funny again. Pulled a carfax and sure enough,, the sales man "Gus Sr." lied to me. He showed me a carfax quickly upon purchase but when I asked for it again, he couldnt find it and I forgot about it. It was in a structure damaged accident and he knew previous to me purchasing it. I traded it in immediatly because it was unsafe and lost $8,000 dollars in a matter of 8 months. After numerous calls and letters all I got was "we dont do business like that". Never once an apology, just pushing me off from one person to another with no one wanting to do anything. Cory the manager gave me back my "extras" I purchased like the life insurance and prepaid oil changes but nothing on the vehicle. So, if I can stop anyone else from getting takeing from them, that will be worth more then 8,000 dollars I am out. I have proof if anyone would like my documention. Fantastic Experience

We were in and out within in just over two hours with one of the most non "haggling" experiences in… buying a car ever. Got what we wanted for our trade in (without having to go back and forth) and drove away in a shiny new Jeep that we both loved.
