The mangers Shayne and Jordan went over and beyond to work with me on my financial situation which… was very difficult given I had almost no credit history. I got an incredible trade in value and an amazing deal on my certified pre owned 2013 Sonata all together. I was so surprised on how much I was able to afford and how much bang for my buck I got at this dealership. My salesman Brandon let ME do all the talking and I definitely felt listened to and heard. He didn't push anything on me and let me control what cars I wanted to see and I felt like I was treated like family!! Brandon was very honest, upfront, transparent, and direct. I really appreciated how the Hyundai Garff team catered to what I needed!Excellent Service

by pianomichele on 10/05/2010I visited Murdock Hyundai today, and Ken Garff Hyundai as well, in pursuit of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I went to Murdock first, and while they were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and seemed to be above board with everything they were… telling me, their bottom line price was much higher than I expected. When I told them that Ken Garff had quoted me lower prices through email, they said that Ken Garff is notorious for baiting the customer with false promises. However, when I went to Ken Garff to just see what they had to offer, I was met with an incredibly friendly staff, prices that did indeed match what was quoted, a lease payment that was $60 less per month for the same car that Murdock had quoted me, and never once did they make me feel unsure or suspicious of their sales pitch. It was actually a very enjoyable experience. Interestingly, when I asked Murdock about Ken Garff, they responded with slander and trash talk, something I really frown upon when dealing with customer service. I even told them I didn't want to hear their negative comments, however they continued to say negative things and even sent me a text message while I was at the Ken Garff dealership that said "I know you didn't like us telling you about other dealer reputations, however I really hope you're careful. Google: Ken Garff Reviews". But, when I asked Ken Garff about Murdock, they had nothing bad to say, not one bad word, not one mean comment. That alone counts for everything in the world of customer service and instantly won my sale. Out of curiosity, I did Google "Ken Garff Reviews" and I am surprised to read these bad reviews of Ken Garff because my experience with them was completely opposite... fast, enjoyable, I wasn't jacked around and lied to, I received the deal I was looking for, and drove away with a beautiful new Sonata... no hidden fees, no surprise costs, no lies, no dishonesty. by ricwhite on 07/24/2007In March, 2006, I went to Ken Garff Hyundai to lease an Azera on their $299/mouth lease promotion. My first task was to negotiate a price (cap cost) for the vehicle. I ran into problems right away. Their invoice price for the Azera was… more than $500 higher than listed at Edmunds, other pricing services and other Hyundai dealerships. This raised a huge red flag for me. I showed them all the print outs of the invoice price for the Azera, all of which were identical. Ken Garff was the only one higher than all the others. They told me that all of those other print outs were wrong and that the invoice price they had on their print out was right. There were also some fees on their print out which I found unacceptable including a $300 Dealer Name Fee. I asked about that one and was told it was a fee they must charge on each vehicle for the privilege of putting the name Ken Garff on the building. I quickly left and scratched them off my list. To be fair, several other Hyundai dealerships in Utah were no better with the exception of Murdock Hyundai in Orem, which was excellent.Great Service at Ken Garff Hyundai

He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles I was considering. He… was able to help me find the car that was perfect for my needs. I didnt't feel pressured by him like I did at other dealrships that I visited. I would definitely recommend buying a Hyundai and would recommend Jordan he was awesome!Over all great experience

He is very knowledgeable about all of the vehicles that he showed us and cared about what we wanted and LISTENED to us!! We got to the dealership about 6pm but he wasn't worried about… the time or making us hurry on our choice. He worked with the gentlemen in the finance department to get us the best deal that was possible. Brad spent time with us on Friday night and showed us all of the great things that the Sonata did, helped put our cell phones in and showed us how to do all that we needed to know. Brad is great in everything that is needed to be a great salesman and we thank him for that!! Love the car, always had a Chevy and changed the first time with the Kia. We will recommend anyone that we know to your dealership!!Thank you

by natalie86 on 04/17/2011updated 08/02/2025I bought my car here and with in two weeks it became clear after you have signed paper work you are no longer of concern. The sales person was not trained well and half the features in my car I had to discover on my own. This is the only… the beginning of my nightmare experience. A month into owning my vehicle the clutch went out and when I went to have it looked at the general manager assumed because I am a woman I couldn't possibly know there was something mechanically wrong with my car. He told me "Why don't we just wait and see if there is actually something wrong with it before we give you a loaner car". This is after the technician had already driven the car and admitted something was wrong and said it would take hours to diagnose the exact problem. After my car was "fixed" I was still unable to get it in gear properly and have been in and out of Ken Garff's service department a multitude of times with no resolutions. My car was in their shop for a total of 31 working days and none of my concerns were addressed or fixed. I finally decided to take my lemon car to Murdock Hyundai and immediately they ordered a new transmission along with a laundry list of other things that needed to be fixed due to faulty factory parts. Regardless of whether their staff is incompetent or they have the worst customer service there is, I wouldn't wish it on an enemy. Please save yourself a headache and shop somewhere else!Happy Customer

Jordan S at Ken Garff Hyundai in Salt Lake City, Utah helped get my daughter into a new Santa Fe. She started out requesting… some help looking for a good used minivan. Jordan proceeded to spend a couple of hours focused on this process and upon learning that what she would spend on a two or three year old minivan, he could help her get into a new Santa Fe that would come with a great warranty that the used car could not offer. There was no rehearsed sales pitch no high presser cost battle. He explained what they could do and because he listened to my daughter knew she would also qualify for an extra military discount. Thank you Jordan! I would recommend Jordan S for anyone looking to make a car purchase.
