Problem resolution..
by Todd Stringfellow on 07/30/2025Needed our oil changed in both of our vehicles and a recall inspection of the windshield wiper motor, which had both been purchased from Glen Polk Ford. We've always had great experiences in our dealings with Glen Polk. This experience was… really no different from previous experiences. Our vehicles were in and out quickly. We had other things to do, so we left the dealership and parked my wife's vehicle and went to take care of other things using my truck. When we got back to my wife's vehicle we noticed that there was a crack spreading across the windshield. After seeing that we looked for the origin of the crack and upon finding it, realized that it had to have happened during the wiper motor inspection. We contacted the dealership and with no issues or arguments they scheduled us to get our windshield replaced. The quick turnaround was great. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the replacement windshield did not have the gradual tint across the top like the factory windshield. I would have expected them to go the extra mile and make sure that the replacement was exactly like the original, but they didn't, which was pretty disappointing. Even with the inconvenience of having to drive an extra hour back and forth the experience was 5 star. The only thing that tarnished it was the lack of going the extra mile to ensure that the issue, that they created, was resolved to 100% perfection with regard to the original vehicle setup.Thank you, Todd—we truly appreciate your continued trust and your thoughtful review. On top of that they didn’t notify until the day of the appointment. (Stonebriar. Chevrolet). I… reached out to Glenn Polk and the truck was available. As soon as I got on-site I was greeted by Paul. We test drove the car and went to Elizabeth, financing to complete paperwork. This was a realtively quick process and I have the truck I needed.Thank you, Sharolyn! Glenn Polk started out in the car business in September of 1971 while taking a two-week vacation from his electrical job. Glenn was so successful his first week in sales that he decided to pursue his new career in the automotive industry. Quickly realizing that “customer satisfaction” is top priority, helped Glenn with his promotion to “Assistant Manager” only four months into his new career. After many years of running dealerships across the metroplex, Glenn figured it was time to go after his goal of owning his own dealership. So, he and his family moved from Arlington, TX to Gainesville to start their new journey. Glenn opened the doors to Glenn Polk Ford – Mercury on April, 15 1995 in a brand-new facility on Interstate 35 across from the Gainesville Outlet Mall. With only 21 employees and 116 vehicles on the lot, the dealership rapidly grew and exceeded the expectations of both the Polk Family along with Ford Motor Company.
