  • Autonation ruined my car battery

    Took my 2016 Chevy Impala to Autonation West Amarillo because the power steering was periodically shutting down. They charged me $342.95 labor and $38.56 for shop supplies. They said the checked all the connections and everything was OK and said there was a software update that would hopefully correct the problem. First why is the $343 charge in labor? How long does it take to check connections, second if it a software update, what is the shop supplies? Third, they drained my car battery so far it damaged the battery and will no longer hold a charge. I have spent the last three days charging and jump starting my car. I have had 3 places check the charging system and all three say that the charging system is working perfectly, but the battery has very low cranking amperage and needs to be replaced. I will not ever take my car back there. It came out worst then it went in

  • Routine Oil Change

    I dropped my car off at 11am for the routine oil change. They did not have my car finished when I arrived at 4:50pm I paid my bill and asked where my car was. They gave me keys to someone else's car. I went back in and told them that was not my car. Then I was told by the service advisor that my car was out getting a wash. 25 mins to 6pm I still did not have my car. I went to the front and they told me that they had lost my keys. My car was not cleaned or washed. They just blew me off until I asked why my car was not there. I had an extra set of keys for my car thankfully. I was able to get it. They are going to call me when they find my keys. I am very disappointed in the service and why they could not have been honest with me from the start. No making me sit there worrying about what happened.

    AC died as I arrived in Amarillo in 103 degree temp. Anne & Terry turned my repair around in remarkable time. Anne was especially friendly and helpful with fantastic communications. The personal service was more like Neiman Marcus than an auto dealer.

  • Needed trip check and new plugs on my truck

    Ended up also replacing bad valve cover gasket and flushing brake fluid. Coby did good with explaining what things were checked also repairs that were needed what was done. Also appreciated appreciated receiving back a washed truck.

    Every time I take my vehicle to Autonation West I am greeted by a friendly but professional staff. My complaint or need is taken care of immediately. Ann Smith is the service consultant I use because she is friendly but very detailed oriented. Just a great place to do business.

  • 3+ hours for an oil change

    Why make an appointment if it still takes over 3 hours for a simple oil change. Arrived 20min early and was still late for my work meeting that I made the service department aware of at time of drop off. Was only offered a shuttle to the meeting until it was too late. Frustrated and will not be back for additional work.

    I received a card in the mail stating I had two safety recalls on my truck. I called the number and set up an appointment. I dropped the truck off that morning, and was given a ride back to work. They called that afternoon and said the service was complete. I picked up my super clean truck that same afternoon. Super easy and quick.

  • Recall service

    Not a good experience. I made an appointment almost a week before to have recall service done on my 2013 Chevy Spark. Mid-morning appointment so I had to set the whole morning aside plus travel across town. Work wasn't done because the service manager had to order the parts and re-schedule me to come back (again) to have the actual work done. I had thought the initial appointment I made WAS to have the work done. I suspect dealerships aren't enthused with recall service but I have to wonder if this would have happened to a regular customer paying to have service done. So...one star at best.
