Waiting on part recall to come in

Autonation ruined my car battery
by Thomas L. on 10/20/2023Took my 2016 Chevy Impala to Autonation West Amarillo because the power steering was periodically shutting down. They charged me $342.95 labor and $38.56 for shop supplies. They said the checked all the connections and everything was OK and… said there was a software update that would hopefully correct the problem. First why is the $343 charge in labor? How long does it take to check connections, second if it a software update, what is the shop supplies? Third, they drained my car battery so far it damaged the battery and will no longer hold a charge. I have spent the last three days charging and jump starting my car. I have had 3 places check the charging system and all three say that the charging system is working perfectly, but the battery has very low cranking amperage and needs to be replaced. I will not ever take my car back there. It came out worst then it went inHello Thomas, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. Routine Oil Change
by JessRines on 09/25/2023I dropped my car off at 11am for the routine oil change. They did not have my car finished when I arrived at 4:50pm I paid my bill and asked where my car was. They gave me keys to someone else's car. I went back in and told them that was… not my car. Then I was told by the service advisor that my car was out getting a wash. 25 mins to 6pm I still did not have my car. I went to the front and they told me that they had lost my keys. My car was not cleaned or washed. They just blew me off until I asked why my car was not there. I had an extra set of keys for my car thankfully. I was able to get it. They are going to call me when they find my keys. I am very disappointed in the service and why they could not have been honest with me from the start. Needed trip check and new plugs on my truck

3+ hours for an oil change

Arrived 20min early and was still late for my work meeting that I made the service department aware of at time of drop off. Was only offered a shuttle to the… meeting until it was too late. Safety Recall

I dropped the truck off that morning, and was given a ride back to work. They called that afternoon and said the… service was complete. I picked up my super clean truck that same afternoon. Recall service

Mid-morning appointment so I had to set the whole morning aside plus travel across town. Work wasn't done because the… service manager had to order the parts and re-schedule me to come back (again) to have the actual work done. I had thought the initial appointment I made WAS to have the work done. I suspect dealerships aren't enthused with recall service but I have to wonder if this would have happened to a regular customer paying to have service done.
