by Carrie0005 on 01/30/2021I had an appointment for a test drive with a specific salesman, who didn't seem to be expecting me when I got there. He didn't know where the Rav4 hybrids were located, and after walking all over the lot, he went inside to look it up and… found that they were all in their lot across the street. We go across the street, and all the cars were covered in snow, so he turned the car on and waited for it to melt. Does this dealership not own an ice scraper? Finally I get to drive the car, and I like it, but they didn't have the trim level I wanted in stock. We discussed transferring a car from another dealership and I put down a refundable $500 deposit for that vehicle. After 2 weeks of emails, the salesman finally admits that vehicle is no longer available, but didn't want to return my deposit because "it's Toyota's policy that we can't look for a car for you without a deposit." Um, no. I put a deposit on one specific vehicle, which has been sold. You can't hold my deposit indefinitely while you "look." I can look myself on the internet. He eventually returned our deposit, which required we go back to the dealership (I don't know why it couldn't be done over the phone) and I bought a car somewhere else.SAFTEY ISSUE WITH CAR AND REFUSE TO MAKE RIGHT
by robert vogt on 04/06/2020Purchased a 2013 Toyota rav4 limited all wheel drive on Saturday April 5 2020. The rave4 came with the push button start/stop Thought how cool and convenient. The only problem is this is a severe safety issue it will let you shut off the… engine without putting it in park. therefore your car goes rolling away. I called dealership and their only advise was just be careful. Called Toyota corporate and got a case number so when this vehicle is in an accident. Iwill have proof Brought this severe safety issue =to their attention. Please do not do business with Toyota Knoxville it will be your worst nightmare.Best Service !

by HillbillyHaven on 08/19/2019From the beginning the team was exceptional. This was proven more so when I had the car for more than 24 hours and discovered this was not the car I wanted. I called them up immediately and within ten minutes was told to bring the vehicle… back and they would exchange it for exactly what I was looking for. The make/model was exactly what I wanted but it didn't have all the bells and whistles that I had originally expressed before. It took some additional paperwork (naturally) but otherwise they took the car back and gave me exactly what I wanted in every detail. This offer to take it back caught my by surprise since the last time I bought a new car off the lot (30+ years ago), once you drove it off the lot, it was yours regardless of what you wanted or didn't want. Still can't believe they did it with little to no discussion.Great Service

Brittany was my initial contact at the dealership and did a great job answering my questions and getting me initial figures… about a lease. She then connected me with Ryan, my sales person. He was very knowledgeable and helpful along every step of the way from the test drive to the delivery of my vehicle. Lease transaction went smoothly. Other personnel were also pleasant in explaining addional features that were available to me. I appreciated the fact that this dealership did not use high pressure tactics. This would have been a total turn off for me.SR5 Premium

He was respectful of my wants, needs and restrictions... but most importantly he respected my… time. I am very busy, and my time is valuable. He did not push or hold me hostage. We didn't like the running boards that were on the truck, so they were more than willing to change them out. We are very… pleased with the experience we had buying the Tundra. They are also very willing to help even after the sale is done. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle.Very Happy With Our New Highlander

Truly a great car buying experience
by LWilson on 07/21/2018I drove to Toyota of Knoxville in a vehicle with no air conditioning and it was 95+ degrees. When I got there I was very surprised to find their showroom air conditioner was not working. I was very hot and uncomfortable, but immediately… the General Manager and sales personnel turned this into a great experience all round. I found the car I wanted and they insisted I drive home in an air conditioned car. My vehicle had to be brought to Knoxville. My sales person was very dedicated to making sure I was happy with this purchase. I have had the car a week and truly do love everything about it. Great Sales Experience
by TommyB52 on 03/26/2018I'd like to recognize Van Vestel of Toyota of Knoxville. I have purchased at least 4 cars in the past couple of years from Van. He displays amazing customer service skills. He's very professional and gets down to business. I know he… works for the dealership, but his approach makes you feel like he's working for you too. Such a great salesman. I used to buy only Pontiac vehicles until they went out of business. I chose Toyota in 2013. What a great decision. I feel like we are now family and Van has become an extended family member. He even follows up with phone calls to make sure that I'm doing well with my new Toyota. He even frequently sends me material about what's new with the Toyota line. I really appreciate the one on one that Van delivers. He's the reason I travel from Kentucky to buy my Toyotas in Tennessee. Great job Toyota for hiring the best people. Whenever I speak with friends, I tell them about my experience with Van. I've even given him the catchy nickname of "Van the Man".
