Great sales experience, highly recommended!
by christyfrink on 08/30/2009The whole car-buying process made me nervous from the beginning, but the folks at Jenkins & Wynne made it completely painless. I submitted my requests via email to six different dealerships in the middle and east Tennessee regions and… theirs was the lowest by several hundred dollars. I was amazed to have received an absolute bottom line, below-invoice price without any hassle. Though another dealership about 45 minutes closer to me offered to match their quote, I went with Jenkins & Wynne because their internet service department was incredibly kind and eager to help in any way they could. Because my color wasn't in stock, they were easily able to find one of my alternates at a dealership in AL and drive it up within 24 hours. Financing was worked out online and over the phone without any pressure about purchasing extras. I received the rate I'd initially hoped for with no early payment penalties. I had been researching new cars for purchase, and had decided on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata or Elantra, as… I drive 40 miles one way to work and needed a vehicle with good gas mileage. I went to the Hyundai dealership, set to purchase one of the two vehicles. We were greeted by a female salesperson, and I had explained to her what I was looking for. There were 5 total Hyundais on the lot, none of which had everything I wanted. Regardless, she attempted to sell me anything and everything on the lot. I left there feeling very annoyed, discouraged, and questioning if I would really want a Hyundai at all after the fiasco with this woman. I went to all the other local dealerships in the area, and didn't find anything I really liked. I was convinced that I did not want a Honda, but at the insistance of my brother, we went to look. I realized I loved the 2012 Honda Civic. My salesman, Karl, went for the test drive with us, and if I didn't know any better, I would have thought he was just an employee who went for test drives-not a salesman. He wasn't pushy at all, I didn't feel any pressure during the drive-I was actually able to feel and see for myself how the vehicle felt to drive. We left after that, and he did not put any pressure at all on me to make a purchase that day, or at all. He casually mentioned if I was interested in purchasing the vehicle to give him a call. Of course I decided I did want it. I went back 2 days later to fill out the paperwork. It was completely a no-nonsense process, Jenkins and Wynne does not tack on all kinds of fees that most of the other dealers in town do-fees for special coatings, special paint, etc, so little negotiation was really needed. I took delivery of my vehicle the next day, and Karl took the time to explain the new features of my hi-tech vehicle to me. I didn't feel rushed, and he really took his time to go over everything. The vehicle was even in the showroom when I got there, so we didn't have to go over it outside in the hot sun. The next part I mention only because I feel it truly captures the customer service quality from Jenkins and Wynne. When I took delivery of my vehicle, I noticed after leaving the dealership that there was not a full tank of gas in the car. We brought this to the dealership's attention, and they were extremely apologetic. I went back to the dealership 2 days later at their request, because they were doing a debut of the 2012 Civic, and wanted to show my vehicle off. When I arrived, my salesman immediately took my car to fill it up with gas. I was met by the Sales Manager Barry, who apologized again and then told me he was going to pay me back for the gas I had to purchase due to the minor oversight. WOW! I was happy enough with them filling the gas tank up, I was certainly not expecting this. It was clearly obvious that they cared about me as their customer. The employees at the dealership treated me like some kind of celebrity during the debut. They announced I was there to show my vehicle, various salespeople I had never met before came up to talk to me about it, they told the customers to ask me any questions as a new owner of a Honda. They also gave me a free oil change, car wash, key chain and key cover for bringing my car by for the debut. I also work in customer service, and it is truly not every day that I feel that others in customer service truly excel at making customers feel special, or even care that much about customers. It was definitely extremely evident that not only did Jenkins and Wynne go above and beyond for me as a customer, but they also cared about me even after I had made my purchase-the do not employ your typical 'car salesman', and they don't play games. I have never had an experience purchasing a car like I had at Jenkins and Wynne. Luckily they also sell my next hopeful car-Ford-so I will hopefully be a repeat customer--as long as I can help it! I highly, highly recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone!2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Purchase

Our best experience by far from start to finish was at Jenkins and Wynne. The reason was primarily because we… didn't feel like we were being pressured. I personally recommend Wes Stamey who is the Sales Representative we worked with throughout the whole process. Wes was the biggest reason that our experience was so positive. Amanda on the internet team was also great in providing info and making a good first impression before we actually went to the dealership.Great experience
