Inspection and Headlight Recall Work

I brought my car in for an inspection and a headlight recall. When I made the appointment I requested the car be done by 12:30 so I could pick it up during my lunch hour. I dropped the car off the night before and also wrote a note on the envelope that I needed the car back by 12:30. At 11 AM I hadn't received any call so I called and they said the car hadn't even been started yet. The car was finally finished at 4 PM and I picked it up around 5 PM which required me to leave work early and deal with a bunch of traffic. The bill was $900 for the inspection and a brake change which is extremely high for this amount of work. While driving out of the parking lot I noticed that only the emission sticker had been updated to 2017 while the inspection sticker was still 2016. I turned around and drove back and they told me that I would have to come back another day to get the inspection sticker.

It is a pleasure to take my Acadia to #1 Cochran at Robinson. The service manager is is always a pleasure to work with and everyone else is very pleasant and knowledgeable.

. The service people in Robinson went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I am 70 y/o and have arthritis. I cannot reach the inside of the front or back windshields. I humbly asked if they would wash them for me ..And they did! Don Seaton always meets our needs and special requests.

Good dealership with a recent hiccup...

My experience with my GMC was exactly as it should be. Good service at a reasonable price. I gave a neutral rating for the "Based on your recent experience, how likely are you to recommend our dealership to a friend, family member or colleague?" due to this... When I picked up my truck I scheduled a State Inspection appointment for my girlfriend's car. She got a call that her car couldn't be passed because it needed new wipers @ I think around $60. I drove the car there in the rain; no issues with the wipers. I also remembered that I had recently replaced them. Looked into it a little, the wipers were replaced 3 months ago. In my opinion this is a typical B.S. way to squeeze a few extra bucks out of your customers. If this type of thing happens again I will take my business elsewhere for both vehicle service and vehicle purchases. I've recommended a few people to you guys in the past; don't ruin it over a few extra bucks of service!

Great job!

Donnie and the rest of the guys at Cochran are awesome! I called at 4:00 pm on friday because my brakes were grinding on the way home from work. I was worried because I had to take my daughter to the dentist at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Donnie told me to bring right in. To keep it short, they repaired my brakes and washed my car, and had me home by quarter to 6:00! Great bunch of guys!

Expectations More Than Exceeded

Quite honestly, I have a very negative outlook when I take my LaCrosse in for it's servicing. The previous dealership, which not only sold me the car, but did all of it's services. On the recommendation of a coworker, I took my car here and I was blown away with the level of care and professionalism. I didn't have the same, generic impression that I was being treated as if I was a cash cow, and the work that was done to the car was done quickly. I can't help wondering how much I had been abused in the past now that I saw the difference here in Robinson.

Great service for women!

If you're a single woman who knows nothing about cars you've provably been taken for a ride once or more when it comes to car repairs. With that being said if you're anything like me you have somewhat of a negative opinion of car repair shops and dealerships. I was pleasantly surprised after my first visit to Cochran in Robinson. They never laughed at me when i told them what was going on with my vehicle like other repair shops in the past. They explained the issues in a way that I could understand and informed me of the prices prior to doing any work to my car. Overall they have managed to make my experience pleasant and to change my attitude about car service/repair shops. I absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone for any of their car needs. Thank you to Cochran for being so wonderful time and time again.

I would like to make sure anyone needing service in the Robinson area go to Cochran. The toughest decision I had to make was picking an advisor. I walked in had Vince assist me right away in getting my vehicle inspected, and I didn't have a gm product or purchase my car there. Long story but inspection was up and needed done right away since I was on way to airport and got pulled over. I was shocked at the level of professionalism and speed my care I received from everyone at cochran. Even thou my vehicle was an off brand they inspected my vehicle and did my maintenance getting me parts very quickly. I was in and out right away and into my flight. I will surly go out of my way to keep going back to cochran of Robinson. Thanks again Vince.

Customer Service....What customer service???

When I dropped my vehicle off I told them that I needed to have my back right brake fixed and I was 99% sure it was the caliper that was the problem. I was told they would need to do a diagnostics test and that it would cost me $90. From my experience this type of test is done is there is an electrical error or engine problem, NOT for a brake job. I told them this and that I did not want a diagnostics test. I was then told that a diagnostic test can include a wide variety of things, such as driving the car around to hear the noise it was making! (BTW, I did this as soon as I arrived). I couldn't help but laugh at this sorry excuse for of a "diagnostic" test. Seriously, $90 to drive my car around to hear a noise? Anyway, I dropped my car off at 9:30am on a Saturday and by 3pm when I still had not heard anything from the dealer, I called them....to find out that they would not be able to fix my vehicle that day. They needed to replace the caliper, rotor and pads on the right side, but asked if i also wanted the pads and rotor replaced on the left as well. I said no, just do the right hand side and since pads can only be purchased as a set, I wanted the unused ones to take home (I was being charged $104.00 after-all). Initially I was told that would be fine, but then I was told that I could not have the unused set and that they had to replace the rotor and pads on the left side as well as the right, b/c "they only do things the right way" and apparently the "right" way is replacing all parts(except the caliper) on the axle, even though the brakes work separately from each other and despite the fact that there was nothing wrong with the left side!!! I asked what grade the pads were and was told they were mid-grade, only to find out later that they were the high grade.I was also told on Monday that the quote I was given multiple times on Saturday was wrong, they quoted the caliper at $90 and now all of a sudden it's $172! I obviously put up a fuss about this and was finally told that they would give it to me for the $90. When I finally was able to get my car back I was given an attitude from the second I walked in the door. The customer service is NON EXISTENT at this dealership. There were no apologizes for the false information i received, if fact they tried to make me feel bad by saying multiple times that they took a loss on this $515 brake job!!! Seriously!!! They charge $161 per hour for labor on top of their insanely expensive parts, they also charge almost $40 for an oil change!! I will never, ever be back. I bought my car at this dealership and my husband has purchased 2 vehicles from them, but after this, they have lost 2 customers for sure and we will be spreading the word on the poor service to ALL of our friends, family and co-workers. This place is definitely NOT #1 in my book!
