by Pegasus242 on 02/27/2023We traveled a considerable distance to see and ultimately buy our new Bolt. The dealership was spotless and everyone we met was very friendly and at no time did we experience any pressure to buy. Very pleased with Fairfield Chevrolet.… Travis Trutt was our sales rep. Great guy.Excellent Service
by Trent C on 05/19/2022Excellent experience from the first call to leaving in my brand new 3500 Silverado! I appreciated being picked up more than an hour away and arriving with only having to sign documents! My sales associate Zach was excellent, keeping me… abreast throughout the entire process and staying after close to ensure I was good to go! Highly recommend! The four-hour drive was worth it!2021 suburban

by Caroline on 03/01/2021This place has been nothing but a continued migraine. Flashy deals brought me to the lot and a need for four-wheel drive. The convenience factor is there, good job guys. But the sales department left MUCH to be desired. As a fairly new car… buyer, I came to this dealership with a notebook full of research and a complete idea of what I needed. They were wonderful pointing out the vehicle and showing me the specs. However, when I brought up the "Air Pressure" light that was lit on the dash, it was shushed and reported to be "a usual Jeep issue you can ignore." With that in mind, I went to turn on the directional which then (in some weird fashion) caused the internal lights to come on. During the test drive I mentioned the volume of the car when it was driving. "That's all SVUs with Four Wheel Drive"... yup another win for the salesman with that one. Obviously I should've known better then to give this car salesman and the car itself a chance. But like I said, flashy deals and I am a frugal kid. Bought the Jeep and drove it off the lot, shrugging off the minor issues as I was told to. Fast forward a month later and the Jeep completely broke down in the middle of a Connecticut highway. Stranded four states away, I was forced to call AAA and was brought to a rando mechanic in the middle of the state. I collected over $600 in repairs on top of needing a WHOLE NEW transmission on a "supposedly" up to date vehicle. When I brought the warranty up to the dealership, they declined to work with me, stating the warranty didn't include the transmission, although it stated it did. After days of calling and speaking to everyone and their mother, a community contact provided me with the contact information of the head of Fairfield, who I then called and got the reimbursement I was entitled to. I have not had this vehicle for more than one year and the NEW transmission is acting up. Stalling in the middle of long rides, low pick up and constant tire pressure issues. I even brought it into the dealership to have it looked at and they simply stated, "Nothing is wrong with it." A curious discovery with a car that stall 80% of the time its being driven. The cherry on top was they made me wait a week to take it in because they "didn't have loaners" and the loaner I eventually did get, had the dashboard lit up like Christmas. Although I own up to being silly and ignorant of the "car salesman games" I do have to say that the continued dissatisfaction and dismissal of issues have made it apparent that this place is NOT a good place to buy a car. I'm embarrassed to have done business with this place and more so embarrassed because I'm stuck with a Lemon I'm paying off for the next five years. This place has earned a hefty 0 star rating from me and I will tell any friends/family to steer clearCaroline just wanted to toss this out to maybe help you out since you are stuck with the vehicle. I am in no way associated with this dealership just trying to help.... Jeep are notorious for trapping heat under the hood creating a heat sink, depending on make, model and year some are worse than others. Basically their design flaw was not adding proper ventilation for the heat created by the motor to escape. This can cause wiring harnesses and plastic plugs, caps etc to literally melt. If you pop the hood and see anything that looks like it been melted you know your on the right track! Another side affect from this is the fuel injection line... So much heat builds up that the liquid gas evaporates before it makes it to the pistons and is turned into energy for the vehicle. BEWARE this can cause what's called "VAP LOCK" this can also cause your engine to randomly die out in the middle of long drives. I cant say for sure as im not familiar with your exact vehicle but just thought id try to make this a little less frustrating for you and hopefully provide some guidance on a solid solution. Feel free to email me anytime with any questions id be happy to help the best I can. Once the "bugs" are corrected jeeps are pretty awesome and dependable its just that fine print you gotta watch out for!

by edkomara on 12/24/2019updated 01/02/2020Did what they needed to do to help me drive out with a new truck. Prices are great, salesman where very knowledgeable.Avoid this place if posible
by AMME1983 on 09/01/2018While looking at vehicle we were told by our salesman that certain things we were interested in doing to the vehicle were posible and that he would get us a quote. After purchasing the vehicle everything changed we had to call the service… department directly to get a quote, just to be told that those things couldn't be done, we got a hold of the salesperson to find out why we were told it couldn't be done, just for him to tell us he knew of someone that could do it, but he was very busy at the time and would get back to us as soon as posible, which he never did, it's been almost 3 weeks since we purchased the vehicle and still haven't heard back. I guess is our fault for going thru with the purchase, honestly the guy obviously looked like he didn't have much experience with cars, like for example he kept on insisting the one botton was the cruise control, even though I told him it wasn't and that it was the "knob" to adjust the lightning in the inside of car, my wife and I wanted to give the guy a chance since no one is "perfect" but what we got for trying to be nice, was he took advantage of us by promising things he obviously wasn't sure about. Overall stay away from this place, don't let the new big building aperance fool. Our first vehicle we purchased thru Ebersole in Lebanon Pennsylvania and I highly recommend it, ask for Dave. We didn't purchased from him this time since they didn't have what we were looking for and now we regret it.Fairfield Service Department Does Not Know how to replace Headgaskets.
by Cactus_Harry on 06/26/2017My experience at Fairfield Chevrolet was very frustrating. While my 2008 Uplander was still under GM warranty I had Fairfield Chevrolet replace head gaskets twice. Both times I was informed the work was done sucessfully. Then at about… 74,000 miles it need head gaskets again. Once again I had Fairfield Chevrolet replace the head gaskets, this time I was charged 50% of the bill. I needed it, so I paid. Once again the beginning of this month (June 2017) The Uplander needed head gasket replaced. This time I was billed 25% of the cost. My question is why should I have paid at all? I have owned GM products almost all my life. I have never had to replace head gaskets. This 2008 Uplander has had head gasket work 4 times since shortly after I purchased it new. If Fairfield Chevrolet had done the work correctly I shouldn't have had problems again. If their technicians are properly trained to work on GM vehicles and work according to procedures the repairs done the first time should have been all that was needed.
Caroline, this is about the 5th negative review from you, not including the fictitious user names you have also used over the past year. We are sorry that you feel the experience and situation were not up to your satisfaction, however we need to be clear.... we have asked several times for you to reach out so we can discuss this situation, you have not. We would like to help in any way we can, but we will need to speak with you to sort out this situation that seems to be several concerns balled into 1 complaint. We hope to hear from you in the near future by phone or in person, Shane Harriman Sales Manager or Donnie Dreese Service Manager can be reached at 570-524-2296.
