Great customer service
by osmancoutinho on 08/19/2015My salesman was John Monaco. We're both millennials so we had that connection going. He was extremely helpful and patient with my indecisive self. Unlike other car salesmen, his dedication didn't change after he made the sale. Out of the 7… Mazda dealerships (VA, DC, MD, PA) I went to, only Scott Mazda came close to what my trade-in was actually worth. And they made sure I got all the incentives even though I wasn't financing through them. If you are considering a Mazda (which is the only brand you should be considering in this price range), you should drive up to 5 hours to Scott Mazda because they're the best. These guys are awesome and set a new standard for how car dealerships should be run.Remote starter bait & switch
by OrangeMenace on 12/30/2014I am extremely frustrated, having bought a CX5 from Scott Mazda with the remote start option. Although we negotiated a price on the vehicle including the $575 factory remote start option, when we picked up the car they told us we would be… getting a cheap, generic remote starter which lacked most of the factory functionality. I specifically told the salesman during the negotiations that I did not want an aftermarket remote starter, because it was a lease - and that is why I wanted the factory option. After much arguing, they refused to install the factory starter unless we paid MORE. In the end, they wrote us a check for 299 dollars - a paltry offering when we had paid 575 dollars for it in the negotiated price. Making things worse, after careful review of the lease agreement - we found that they actually did not use the "negotiated" price in the calculations for the lease. They kept telling us that the reason our monthly lease was higher than expected was because of credit reasons, but in reality - it ended up being because they used a price 1000 dollars higher in the calculation. Basically, list price. No matter how careful you are, they will find a way to scam you. They rushed us through the financing office more than an hour after our appointment, the documents all printed shifted a few lines so it was impossible to really see how they were calculating the numbers without careful review, and all the prior discussions focused just on the monthly rate - so they basically pulled a fast one on us. We like the car, but will never return to Scott when the lease is done. Anyone thinking they got a "great deal" just never looked close enough at the numbers.Good cop bad cop
by rustys5 on 12/04/2014The sales floor will make promises and negotiate what seems like a great price, but in the end you will get shafted by one of their many scams. They pit the financing office against the sales office in a way to deflect your anger.… They'll make you "promises" that your monthly payments will be one thing, but then come back with higher rates and then after you sign those with the "assurances it won't really be that" they come back with an even HIGHER rate even for someone with good credit. Really shady tactics. Plus they screw you on your trade in. I got about 50% of the KBB fair value for a car that was still in relatively good shape. I won't ever return.Zoom Zoom x2
by golfgal3 on 06/07/2014updated 08/05/2025Purchased a 2014 Mazda 3 from Scott Cars in Allentown. This is the second Mazda I purchased from salesman Tim. I am not a fan of vehicle shopping. My experience was speedy, professional and actually pleasant. I test drove several different… Mazdas until I selected the 2.5L Mazda 3 S Grand Touring . The dealership offered better financing than I found at local banks and credit unions. A buyer loyalty rebate was also available. The dealership worked with me to to have the vehicle ready quickly. Great car with many new features and upgrades. Love it.
