Rip Off Company
by ShawnD4500 on 01/24/2018After the purchase of my first home, I decided that I wanted to trade my Cadillac Escalade and trade it for a 2012 Mercedes-Benz S550 which I've wanted for a very long time. After contacting car collection, they agreed in writing to me and… my credit union on a purchase agreement that they would give me $10,500 for my trade. My credit union sent the check overnight and when it was time to pick up the S550, they decided to only give $8500 for the trade. At this point, I knew they were pretty unprofessional but I really wanted the car so I got a $2000 personal loam to cover the difference and paid the difference and drove off with the car. The next day, the check engine light comes on and I find out from Mercedes Benz that the car needs over $5000 worth of work. Scott agreed to cover the damages; however Tammy advised the very next day after I paid $200 to tow my car there the next day that Scott no longer works there and it's my problem. The worst part is that her and Scott sat there and told me when I picked up the car that the ruff start is because of a new type of huge engine type Mercedes Benz put in 2012 versions of the car that was perfectly normal. Its so unfortunate that North Carolina laws doesn't protect consumers from these types of careless businesses and human beings. I'm asking this company assist in paying for repairs that were necessary when they sold me the car. If I could give them zero stars, I would!!!!
