  • Good price poor customer service

    First, I will say I was happy with the price I paid for my used F150. Definitely the best price around. The whole experience took about 3.5 hours which I thought was long but that isn’t what I’m not happy about. I left the dealership around 8pm on Saturday, June 9th. Around 4pm the next day I noticed a crack in the top right side of the windshield. I am 100% sure this did not happen in the 25 miles I drove the truck from the time I left the dealership. Sure, someone might have whacked it with a hammer while I was in Harris Teeter but that hasn’t happened in the 100+ times I’ve been to that Harris Teeter. Anyway, I texted my salesman the minute I noticed the crack (at 3:50pm on Sunday). He replied the next day and said he would look at the following day when I stopped in to get my spare key. After waiting around 20 minutes I was told they would not fix it but he would get with the general sales manager to see if he could do something for me. I was told I’d get an answer the following day (Wednesday). After not hearing ANYTHING I texted my salesman on Saturday the 16th to see what was going on. He said he would have an answer to me on Monday the 18th. As of today (June 24th) I’ve heard NOTHING!!! Absolutely horrible customer service in my opinion. If they are not going to replace my windshield (that didn’t break under my ownership) the very least they could do is have the common courtesy to tell me. Not responding to my request is just poor on their part. I’ll NEVER return for service on my truck or for any future vehicles.

    I have purchased several vehicles from Town and Country Ford over the past 18 years and have to say I will not purchase another vehicle from here again as long as the current management is in place. A small problem was met with miscommunication, failed commitments, and a complete failure to communicate which turned the small/minor problem into a large complex issue. Which equates to disrespect.

    I have never experienced such poor, disrespectful, unconcerned customer service. I only direct that statement to the the service department, not the dealer as a whole. Moreover, specifically a certain service advisor inwhich I will not name out of respect. I can and will go in further detail with other reviews, the BBB, and other customer support and complaint entities. I have driven Ford products my entire life, including operating Ford Crown Victoria vehicle for 18 years as police officer and deputy sheriff. I have delt with many Ford dealers in that time and have never experienced such an uttermost lack of simple and basic customer relation skills and communication, moreover such a lack of concern regarding rusting brake rotors on a vehicle with 24,000 miles on, the very same vehicle I transport my child in. I was so advised by the service advisor the following, " there is nothing I can do about it, I can show you a lot of cars on the lot with rust on the rotors". I don't care about other cars, just the one I own and transport my son in. In addition, I dropped my vehicle off early for a recall repair so I could make an appointment at the VA Hospital and didn't have time to walk around a car lot looking at other cars. Being a resonable, prudent, educated person I would stipulate that based on what the service advisor told me Ford Motor Company produces all there vehicle with brake rotors that will rust. Rust only gets worse and will compromise the structual integrity of such an important and safety component such as brake rotors. I'm sure if the vehicle in question was his and his family was in it his opinion or concern may be different. I understand he didn't manufacture the part or install it. However, such a lack of concern compilied with a bad attitude, and poor customer service skills is a poor representation of Town And County Ford and Ford Motor Company as a whole. To expound and extrapolate on my experience, the manner in which I was treated was directly proportanional to the manner inwhich I dropped it off. When I returned to get my vehicle after leaving the VA Hospital I was reviewing the paperwork when the same service advisor walked up behind me. I again expressed my safety concern regarding my brake rotors, he stated, " I can show you a 2017 Ford Mustang on the lot with rust on the brake rotors". I again stated that I don't have the time or inclination to walk around a lot looking at a car. Maybe he does have the time, or maybe he should adapt and change his problem solving and customer relation skills instead of wasting customers time looking at other cars. I am sure ther may be rust on other cars, I am concerned about mine and what I transport my child in. From what information I ascertained from him, and being a reasonable, prudent, informed, and educated person that many of Ford products have brake rotors that will rust, both new products and vehicles such as mine with 24,000 miles. To add insult to injury he just walked away from in mid-conversation regarding my safety concerns, I assume he didn't want to or couldn't address my concerns. I informed him I would follow-up with my concerns so any forth comming complaints and or negative reviews should be no surprise. When my vehicle was driven back into the service bay the employee got out and asked me if it was mine, I replied that it was and he walked away. I got in my vehicle and found my registration card on the floor and had to search for my key fob, finally found it between the seat and seatbelt, I would expect to at least be handed the keys. A 27 point inspection was have said to have been completed according to the paperwork but most of the information was left blank. In closing, there are other Ford dealear as well as other maufacture deals and shops. I will not return to this dealer nor will I refer anyone I know.

    Town and Country made our new vehicle purchase a pleasure. They were courteous and knowledgeable about their extensive inventory. They provided transparent online pricing and were patient as we compared two Explorer trims to determine which was the best functional and financial fit for us. Never did we feel pressured to buy or were we bothered with follow up phone calls or annoying texts like other manufacturer dealerships were doing daily. Despite the drive, I will return to Town and Country to service my new vehicle.

    I live in Dallas,NC about 35 miles from T and C, but I drive to Charlotte to have my car serviced. My go to service person is Bill. I tried Tindol Ford in Dallas and there is not comparison. I never feel that I am being taken advantage of because I'm a single woman. My vehicle is always serviced professionally and I have never had an issue with any service. I have nothing but rave reviews for Town and Country Ford and Bill.
