Great Deal
by happe2bme on 10/09/2014I would've given 5 stars but was not greeted when I arrived and had to ask for assistance after waiting. I had a great experience with Heather Harthorne. She made the process smooth and easy. I didn't feel pressured and she… understood my needs and I ended up getting a great deal.Outstanding Service
by smullis on 10/08/2014I honestly cannot say enough about what an amazing experience my husband and I had at Scott Clark Nissan on Saturday. We worked with Steve (aka Bagels) and we quickly felt more like friends. He was extremely knowledgable, caring, and… patient with us throughout the whole experience. We were laughing and telling stories in a matter of minutes. My husband fell in love one of the cars that honestly was a little more than we orginally planned on spending, Steve worked with us so we felt compfortable with the price and walked out of the dealership feeling as though we got a great deal. I would reccomend Steve to any of my friends or family members looking to purchase; he is a great asset to Scott Clark Nissan and I am so grateful that he was the salesman we were lucky enough to work with. The birth of Silvia
by silvia22 on 10/08/2014We went in to rent a vehicle for an upcoming road trip and left with a new member of the family...Silvia. To our excitement, we were not overrun by numerous sales personnel. One salesman, Steven C., quietly approached us to ask if he… could assist us. After we talked, he suggested a one owner, pre-owned vehicle that just arrived to the lot today. The General Manager, Finance Manager and Steven C. made the deal so pleasant and easy that we could not help but buy the crossover. The newest member of our family is...Silvia and she is fantastic. If you need to rent or buy a new or pre-owned vehicle, save yourself anxiety, go straight to Scott Clark Nissan on South Boulevard and ask for Steven C.Dave Gibbs is awesome!!
by calais1 on 09/24/2014This was my first financed or leased vehicle. I was always scared of dealerships and the dreaded "car salesman" but Dave was super layed back and non pressuring. Worked with my needs and got me into a car with no buyers remorse! I can even… bring it by Scott Clark Nissan for free carwashes anytime!Scott Clark Nissan great experience
by rdsmith6 on 09/20/2014Worked with Dave G to find the right car with the right options...didn't have it on the lot, but he went over & beyond to get me in the vehicle I wanted with the options I wanted...and then some! Everyone I worked with in the… overall process was incredibly friendly and helpful!! Will definitely work with Scott Ckark Nissan and Dave G when I'm ready for my next car purchase!Practically painless
by bh241 on 08/30/2014The Price Promise upfront pricing is the way to go. David G was very easy to work with, and knowledgeable about the Altima we were interested in. He was not pushy at all and took the time to not only answer our questions but also to make… certain we made a well-informed one. It's rare to find a salesman and a dealership that cares once they made the sale like David G and Scott Clark Nissan. I highly recommend you contact David G at Scott Clark Nissan when you are looking for a new Nissan.Horrendous Experience - Still waiting for Reimbursement ....
by eric_degraff on 11/06/2009I finance/own a Lexus IS250 that my wife drives and pays for. In an effort to free my debt/income ratio for home refinance reasons, my wife went vehicle shopping at South Charlotte Nissan after speaking with the sales staff. The intent was… for her to look at the possibility of financing a car her name only and free up those financed dollars of mine for the upcoming home refinance. To my surprise, she brought home a very nice BMW 355i turbo pre-owned with the papers signed and done. Somehow "my" Lexus was traded in the process, and while I questioned how that could work, the mission was accomplished and she was very happy with the outcome and her new ride. The BMW was a fleet car from Northern Virginia and had some minor cosmetic needs and some salt corrosion on the calipers and rotors. After a couple of weeks I disassembled the calipers and rotors and repainted both, and performed the minor body work - about 3hrs worth. After over 3 weeks of my wife enjoying her BMW, my Credit Union drafted funds from her account to pay a Lexus installment. When she called - we found out that the Lexus was still owned by us, and the note was not paid by South Charlotte Nissan. Now approaching the 4th week from the initial transaction and after cornering South Charlotte Nissan, there seems the be a negative equity financing problem, but with my signature - all would be fine. My wife explained that was never the intention when the trade/purchase took place, and driving away with signed paperwork and a different vehicle, whe considered the transaction a done deal. Turns out that South Charlotte could not secure financing/underwriting on the deal they created, and the BMW would need to be returned. At this point, I am questioning the legality of the Lexus trade since it is registered in my name only, and I did not sign any release paperwork for the vehicle to South Charlotte Nissan. After a few frustrating and somewhat heated calls to the Sales Manager, we turn the car in as dual name financing was not the intent, and the prior Lexus was a fine car we had owned since new. With the 4th week on BMW ownership approaching, we exchange the 355i for our Lexus. The exchange is quick - and the Sales Manager agrees to some compensation (tank of gas) for my repairs and improvements to the vehicle that apparently was never ours. The next morning - we discover that our Lexus had been raided for some parts - 1 lug nut from each wheel was missing and the leather bound owners manual with all of our original purchase paperwork was missing. I purchased lug nuts from [another dealership] the next day for safety reasons, and my wife had to wait a week for a replacement manual - our paoerwork is gone. Totally fed up and frustrated from how this whole mess transpired, I called and submitted the invoice from the lugnuts via fax, and re-submitted the invoice via my wife when che picked up the replacements manuals in August 2009 - and guess what, I'm still waiting for my reimbursement check .... guess it's "in the mail" .... I'm sure this long post is painstaking to read - it was painstaking to sort through as well. I'll never deviate from the Lexus Experience again - and I can speak for my wife on that as well. The exposure/risk that the South Charlotte Nissan finance officer took accepting a trade from someone that wasn't the legal owner of the traded vehicle is alarming at the least.Internet experience
by malern on 08/16/2009I found a nice 08 Sonata SE at this dealers website. Called them and was told the car was sold. I then received an email that stated the car was still available. I ignored it and continued to shop. 10 days later I saw the same ad, now… updated that stated the car was still for sale. I called and the salesman checked.........told me it was still there. I scheduled a date to drive 117 miles to see the car in the next 2 days. He took my number to let me know if it was sold before I could see it on Saturday August 15, 2008. Two days before my visit the Sales Manager called me to again "confirm my appointment" to see this car. This ad was again updated on August 14, 2008 on the internet site Zibe.com. We drove 2 hours early on Saturday August 15 only to quickly learn that the car the salesman was referring to was a plain Jane White Sonata GL (no leather, no sunrrof, No V-6 etc....................) Only match was the color white. They then attempted to sell me an Azera, or a new Maxima asking me "What's wrong with a Maxima? It's a lot better car than a Hyundai" (JD Power and Associates disagrees). I spent another 15 minutes there listening to their dribble while they checked with someone behind the glass walled office (ie command central) and then stated they would give me a "great deal" on the white Sonata sitting there (wrong car). I promptely left. The original contact salesman was pleasant and admitted his error (but no apology) and the other salesman (the closer?) was a [violative content deleted] and did not know his product. Don't Trust a Word They Say!!!
by dougwenviro on 08/04/2009I recently visited this location, selected a vehicle to work up a deal. They salesman was new so they brought in a "sales manager" to negotiate. He performed the usual let me see what I can do, gathered around "the pit" and acted like they… were interested in working FOR you. I know that was not the case, but went along with it anyway. The "sales manager" and sales rep stated the vehicle had an active warranty (NOT), when I was with the Finance Mgr (He was good) I learned that it did not. The "sales manager" tried to correct the problem. His big idea was to give me 60-days of warranty, after which I could come back and secure a Purchased Warranty. When he walked out, the Finance guy said this was not allowed, and I could not do this. What is said in the front.....has no comparison to the truth you learn in the back.....the Sales group well earned the phrase "used car salesmen". I got the car, but will never, never set foot in this location again. The Management does not care about their customers or their issues after the sale. As a matter of fact....the "sales manager" would not look me in the eye when I left. They would not recognize CUSTOMER SERVICE if it would save their life..Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. It was so easy to buy a car.
by steverello on 06/20/2009I usually don't write reviews on these things, but I was treated so well that I feel I must. I recently sent a request over the Internet for a price quote, and I had a couple of questions about the different options avaialble. John Rotalsky… my Salesman called me back almost immediately. He answered all of my questions. I received a great deal on my new 350Z. I am looking to get a Murano soon as well, and I will definitely come back to see John and all the helpful people at South Charlotte Nissan.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. by htbuyingacar on 06/01/2009I hated shopping for and buying cars before my South Charlotte Nissan experience but now I Really hate it. South Charlotte Nissan has ruined IT for every car dealer in my book. The sales/general manager is the worst! He is rude, he lies,… and he talks down to you like you are stupid. I am trying to forwarn anyone looking for a car, DO NOT GO TO SOUTH CHARLOTTE NISSAN. I purchased a brand new car there, it had 14 miles on it when I drove off the lot. My third time driving it the engine light came on. A very long story after that but lets just say it was a nightmare. They don't have a clue about providing quality customer service! They don't give a crap about you once you sign your name on the dotted line. PLEASE TRUST ME AND WARN EVERYONE ABOUT SOUTH CHARLOTTE NISSAN!!!!Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. Bait and Switch
by mokey4 on 05/20/2009I traded in my lease and purchased a used car. I had previously used this dealership and had no problems. Initially, the purchase process was good, but the sales dept and finance guys got sneaky. A few days after I had signed my purchase… paperwork they had me come back to sign new paperwork. The finance guy said it was a better deal. The basic financing was better, but what they didn't tell me was that all of my lease penalties that were covered under the first loan would not be covered under this one. When we went back to inquire about the bill, both the salesman and then financing guy had been let go and the only thing the GM was willing to do sell us another car and wrap up the fees they agreed to pay in a new loan and still leave them for me to pay. The GM did admit that the deal was handled very badly, but that was all.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. TOTALLY DISSATISSFIED!!!!!
by brevard78 on 09/04/2008This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had! I have leased vehicles many times before and have never been treated this way at any other dealership EVER!!!! In exchange for purchasing my new vehicle they were supposed to buy… out my previous lease that I was still under. They did but tried to shortchange the leasing company and then tried to get me to pay for the remaining balance that they did not pay to the leasing company to close out the lease. I would highly recommend avoiding these guys like the plague. However if you are dead set in getting a car here I would advise avoiding not only the general manager Todd Greenburg but also the finance manager Mike Kim and the salesman Jajah Mallory. They treated me like crap ever since I purchased the vehicle. I was going to take my car there to be serviced reguarly but now I will never take it there and would gladly drive 100 miles to get it serviced at another Nissan dealership. Not only have they lost any chance of future business from me but I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go there.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. Stay away from South Charlotte Nissan!!!!
by hnewton on 07/01/2008I purchased a 2004 Frontier last week from South Charlotte Nissan, with the dealer agreeing to fix a small dent in right rear panel, and yes this was even notated on the "We Owe" document that is signed by both buyer and seller. I called to… see if dent was fixed and was told "yes ma'am, your truck's dent is being fixed right now, will be ready for pickup when you get here". Guess what - they never touched that dent. Blamed it on their small dent repair guy - but I blame this dealership!! I asked the sales manager if he ever even got up to look at my vehicle. Talk about lying, lazy people! One guy said "we all make mistakes!" What? Did I really want to hear that after driving nearly an hour (again) to pick up my vehicle? He just joked around like nothing was wrong. So, today is day 5 - after my calling their General Manager Todd Greenburg on Saturday to tell him their small dent guy said he couldn't fix. I had some harsh words for Mr. Todd and he even reciprocated some back to me, but guess what? He still has yet to return my phone calls after that. As of matter of fact, no one from this dealer has returned any of my calls (about 10 calls to them so far) - about getting this dent fixed. Like I told the GM, once a customer signs those papers, we mean nothing to them. Wonder if that's why he hasn't called me back? I don't know how they stay in business. You can rest assure I'll spread the word about them..I've already written NissanUSA about them. I'll handle getting the small dent repaired, and maybe the We Owe document will count for something - once I can get someone's attention. Please go somewhere else!!Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. HORRIBLE SALESMAN AND DEALERSHIP!!!
by autoluvr20 on 03/13/2008I went to South Charlotte Nissan to purchase a pre-owned Maxima or Altima. While I was there my salesmans name was Jackson. He knew his product, but was very rude and was a [violative content deleted] with an ignorant attitude. I told him… over and over again that I wanted my monthly payments to be in the 300-350 range but he kept trying to make me pay over 400 a month. The car that I looked at was a 2005 Altima, theres no way that car was worth paying more than 350 a month. Him and that entire dealership are snakes. They lie and sneak just to get car deals. I would advise everybody to stay away from this dealership. You will get the runaround or probably even lied to. If you are looking for a Nissan, go to East Charlotte, I ended up going there and getting my used Altima and my salesperson, Troy was much nicer and so was the management.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
by ship07 on 03/11/2008The salespeople there are tricky with thier words they say one thing and then do something else. And I have come to find out that the managment who work there are that way as well. I bought a nissan Titan 08 and finalized the deal with… the salesman Brian Sobo. In the deal I stated that I wanted a trailer hitch installed as part of the deal. Brian said no problem Ill have that put on for you. Well I get a call 5 days later and the manager says that I need to come in and put down 405 in order for them to put the hitch on. I was very upset they raised the price on my vehicle, did not order the hitch like they said and gave me the runaround. I have used my time off work to deal with the problems I am still having with this dealership. I highly recomend avoiding this dealership like the flu.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. The worst dealership I've ever been to!!
by charlesmiller on 03/11/2008South Charlotte Nissan should be shut down! First, prior to visiting the dealership, I received at least 2-3 phone calls from their salespeople when I specifically asked them to take my name off of the call list. Not only did I have to… deal with the annoying phone calls, they were sending me flyers every week. On top of that, the flyers were bogus. I'm sure we've all received it; claiming that if the number you scratch off matches the number they gave you, you win a prize. Yeah right. Anyways, I decided to pay them a visit with no intentions on buying a car. I wanted to see if they were as much of a fraud in person as they were via phone and mail. My visit seemed as though it was going to go in a positive direction, as I was greeted by a nice young lady named Tosha, but she was with another customer at the time so she referred another associate to me, and thats when everything went down hill. So immediately my salesman, I think his name was either Daniel or David, was extremely RUDE. He made smart-mouth comments the entire time saying things like, "haven't you ever bought a car before, shouldn't you already know this?" "Can't you do math?" Before I said or did something out of my character, I left. I couldn't believe that his management would allow such an offensive, insulting person to work for them. He was definitely a bad representation of that company. After I went home and calmed down a bit, I decided it was only right to notify the management of the salesman's rude behavior. So I went back, and as I stepped into the lobby of the dealership, the tension was strong. Two other customers were complaining about the poor customer service and even more poor management. As I was waiting to speak with a manager, one manager was with another customer and it was unbelievable how he was speaking to these customers. He was insulting, had a bad attitude, and even had the nerve to raise his voice at the customers. I wish I knew his name so that I could warn all who read this to stay away from him. Everyone should stay away from this atrocity they call a dealership period. The customer service is horrible and the management is a disgrace.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP
by theman2000 on 03/11/2008I went to South Charlotte Nissan to pick up a car that I thought was ready for to purchase. I had already spoke to a salesman and they said that everything was ok and that I qualified for one of their cars. When I got there, the quote that… they gave me was 900 dollars more than what they told me I would be paying over the phone. So when I was getting ready to leave one of the sales managers came in to try and talk me into paying more and that it was an "honest mistake". When he was talking to me he was very rude and try to make me feel like I was stupid. In case anyone ever visits them and you so happen to speak to a manager, avoid a guy named Jajah. He was the manager that was rude with me. Their whole game was to try and get me to the dealership because they knew that i was traveling and thought that if they got me here that I would go ahead and do it because I came so far. They are liars and very sneaky.Hello, We are under new Ownership and Management since the time of your post. Bad experience
by Wow_63103 on 04/01/2014updated 08/02/2025I honestly don't ever do these things but I feel this was on I should respond to. I had the opportunity to go to Scott Clark's Nissan of Charlotte . The sales man I delt with was top of the line I had a wonderful customer experience with… him. He was a straight shooter from the start. Now here come the wrinkle, we was doing a trade in on a nissan armada the SUV was sharp everything you could ask for in a vehicle. Did the numbers they came in very low for the trade in value. I'm a numbers guy it's what I' do for a living, so I wanted to speak to the manager to find out why he was low balling me . Turns out he made a bad deal on the armada it needed about 4k worth of work done and he was gonna pin it on me the sad part was he wasn't even gonna say anything about it he was gonna just let me drive it home . I've got nothing against Scott Clark's dealerships but my personal opinion sounds like Somebody might wanna see what's going in the management dept so that other customers don't end up with the same experience I had, I want to stress the salesman was a great down to earth guy but the manager was full of smoke would trust him with penny , I understand if you can't make a deal but don't insult my intelligence an lie to me to try and put me in a car cause you screwed up on the previous tradeGreat sales experience
by vandriver_2012 on 05/31/2013updated 08/02/2025I have a 2011 Quest and was very much satisfied with the vehicle. While waiting on the vehicle to be serviced, I was approached by Sales Exec Jackson. He was very personable and began to sale the merits of a new vehicle. He was not high… pressured of which I am imperious to. I have purchased 7 vehicles from this dealership and I know what I want and have heard it all. The sales exec and his manager was very professional, upfront and sincere. I did not feel that I was sold a new vehicle but rather instead was offered a good deal. They recognized that I had been a loyal customerGreat Experince
by jaybase09 on 05/03/2013updated 08/02/2025Went in the purchase a Nissan Xterra. Couldnt have had a better experience. Richard A did a fantastic job in the sales process. Went in on a wim and came out with a new car. Moe, General Manger, also came over and spoke with us as well.… Everyone there is friendly and it was a great experince. Had a follow up for an add on and the service team and rental department were great as well.
