Excellent experience with Chris
by sdeck123 on 10/03/2017My experience with Chris Kinder was excellent! Highly recommend working with him and the rest of the team.Chris Kinder
by luvmycars on 08/08/2017Buying a car has never been so easy and stress free. Chris made us feel so relaxed, he answered all of our question and never pushed us into buying a car. But, we did buy a car! Thank you Chris. We would recommend Chris and Palisades Mazda… to anyone wanting to buy a car.Thank You, Chris Kinder!
by GH_QueensNY on 07/21/2017We are leasing a Mazda 3 Grand Touring, and we love it so far. After purchasing cars for years, we decided to change things up. This is our first lease and our first Mazda. We have been impressed all throughout this process. Chris Kinder… stands out from his peers. Without question, our experience with him has far exceeded any other experience that we have ever had with any car dealer/salesperson. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience. His customer service is exceptional. He is very responsive to emails and phone calls, he is meticulous and detail-oriented, and he is extremely polite and kind. Our in-person meetings were swift and structured. He balanced this with patience, and giving us the feeling of having as much time as we needed to ask questions and make decisions. Chris brought about peace of mind; he was able to make a difficult process feel a lot less intimidating. Chris Kinder, John Stillman, Frank Benedict and the rest of the team at Palisades Mazda made our experience pleasant and comfortable. Rather than being in a dealership, it felt like we were in a bank. My Palisades Mazda experience has been top-notch. Thank you, Chris Kinder!5th Mazda in 6 years
by nychieflb on 01/03/2017I've been leasing cars from this dealership since 2010. My wife just got her 3rd Mazda 3 and I got my 2nd Mazda 6. First of all the cars. My wife LOVES hers. It's great on gas, and overall it's the perfect car for her. Each car she's gotten… an upgrade as the cars have as well. The 2014 Mazda 6 was a car I got 3 years ago that replaced a Mercedes C300. Now while it would be unfair to compare the 2, I got more "looks" from my 6 then when I drove the Mercedes. I went in this past Saturday to see about getting a new lease as I had 5 months left on my lease with only about 500 miles to go. My regular sales person had gotten a promotion and moved to another dealership, so when I walked in I met Stan Rosen. I sat down and we went over my situation. Then one of the finance managers recognized me and came over and before we knew it, and with no negotiating necessary, I got my new 2016 Mazda 6. I could have gotten a 2017, but this car, being end of year, is LOADED. It has the feel of a luxury vehicle, and it looks even better. Black with black and espresso interior, gun metal gray alloy wheels, every possible feature and even a sports mode. I drove it to work today and didn't even mind being stuck in traffic...overall I just LOVE this car and I'm grateful for the professionalism of the Mazda staff - they gave me an honest deal up front so I didn't need to negotiate. SO my 5th Mazda won't be my last one. If you're considering one of these cars (and you should), give Palisades Mazda a shout.Great experience!
by JuanB_763 on 07/18/2016Great experience at Palisades Mazda. I was dealing with Christopher Kinder who did a great job. He showed me the Mazda3 and Mazda6 over a few visits since I did not know exactly what I wanted. Over time when I made up my mind he helped get… the car I wanted and took care of everything for me. He was honest, respectful, and provided great customer service. I visited other dealerships in the area and did not have a good experience. I can easily recommend this dealership for their great customer service, service department,k and great cars. I never thought I would buy a new car, but Christopher Kinder along with the team at the dealership made it so much easier for me. Take a visit, take a test drive, is worth it. Thank you.Low pressures sales
by Tierney2 on 06/24/2016Chris K was great to deal with. He let me take my time with the decision., in the end I went with the 0% financing that Mazda offered.Incompetent & Arrogant
by Bull427 on 03/17/2016These [non-permissible content removed] are beyond incompetent. 1) Supposedly installed a new battery before I picked up the car. Died within 8 months. 2) Complained repeatedly about static on FM stations. First said it was the station… and then said all the cars do that. After I replaced the dead battery, stations come in clearer. 3) 2 air filters had to be replaced at 15k miles. Techs never checked them because the book said they don't get replaced until > 25k miles. 4) Oil change takes 90 minutes. Since they don't check anything else, not sure why it takes so long to change the oil. 5) Had the blind spot monitors replaced repeatedly and they still don't work properly. They warn of trees and poles I pass but not vehicles in my blind spot. 6) Bluetooth is not compatible with any iPhone. Only told this after returning repeatedly to complain about this AFTER I bought the car. 7) HD Bose stereo is garbage. Fades in an out. Again, not told this when purchasing. 8) Response from the dealer to all these issues is a refusal to refund my money and take the car back. Instead, he suggested I contact Mazda to get my money back, 9) Technician is more interested in confonting customers who answer their so-called "survey" honestly than in correcting the issues raised in the survey.ggod place to buy
by mtip on 01/07/2015we were cross shopping 5 door hatchbacks. looked at ford, kia, vw and mazda. Chris Kinder was not the typical car salesman. very open, honest and helpfull. he took the time to demo the car on new years eve, explain pricing options and… get paperwork started, even though it meant leaving later than planned. when we returned to sign the final papers and pick up the car we did get some BS upsell for paint insurance and other junk, witch was expected, but did sour the deal a bit. overall we feel that we got a good deal, and were very happy with chris.AMAZING!
by itstia22 on 11/03/2014Palisades Mada literally went above and beyond to help me get into my new car. I do not make a lot of money nor do I have a strong credit history. Chris Kinder literally held my hand through the process and went out of his way to get me the… best deal he could find. Chris was able to get me a better deal than we initially talked about and was an advocate for me with the bank and insurance company. Palisades Mazda literally comes with the highest recommendation. My next vehicle will be purchased at Palisades Mazda.Great salesman, great car, great value. Must read.
by jorojoro on 09/07/2010We were looking to replace our BMW X5 that was coming off lease---on our way to Audi was the Mazda Dealership (it's also a Volvo dealership BTW). We never owned a Mazda and must say that we are pleased and happy with our experience thus… far. The sales experience though is something unlike we've ever experienced before and that's coming from having BMW and Mercedes Benz vehicles in our household. We stopped in, was received by Joe (really is his name) and took home our Black on Black 2010 CX-9 GT AWD with Navi and a rear DVD system the very next day. Honestly, it was a great deal and a great value--- As a salesman, Joe was the coolest, most professional, HONEST, and respectful I have ever encountered. He answered ALL of our questions and we really felt TOTALLY at ease with the process. You could leave your hesitation at home. No BS here, no haggling, no harsh tactics, no second-guessing. This was our experience with Joe. Check this out: I asked a question about the door locks during our test drive---got it answered and never bothered about it again. Just today, about a month and days later, I receive a fax from Joe, our salesman that included instructions on how to change the door lock settings---totally out of the blue and unexpected---that's why I really decided to post online. SO, if you're looking to buy a Mazda, FIRST buy from Palisades and most importantly, BUY from Joe. This was our experience---and liked it after owning MB and BMW for the past few years.Never called back
by bella20 on 03/15/2010We were looking for a particular color CX9 and our sales rep (Scott) said he could get it and call us back. Left messages with him and manager to no avail, they never called back! I guess they didn't want to lease us a vehicle! How do they sell a car??
by rterry1 on 01/18/2010My wife and I went to this dealership with the intent of choosing between a 2010 CX 9 or CX 7. Our salesman (Calvin) showed us a used 2009 loaded, and spent the rest of our time trying to sell us this vehicle insisting this is what we are… used to. We drive an Acura MDX, and the used CX 9 was a 'loaded' Grand Touring edition. He seemed interested in getting us out of our lease early, and selling us this used car. We NEVER saw a 2010 CX 9 or CX 7. I must repeat, we made it very clear to Calvin that this was our intention for coming into the dealership. He promised to call or e-mail us, but we still haven't, and probobly never will here from him.Nice Guys, but still are good salesmen.
by grandeson on 01/05/2010They do not do the hard, high pressure sell, but they are not pushovers for any stretch of the imagination. They know what they are doing, just do it in a different way, which is more of what I like I guess. Seem like wenuinely good guys,… so would rather give them my business thent the rat race type. I actually had other Mazda dealers calling my cell phone when I was at this dealer and trying to undercut this place, but didnt like that tactic, so I stayed and purchased from here. Scored vehicle inventor as N/A since I was getting a leftover for a better deal.Nice People, Low Pressure Approach
by fdpiper on 08/31/2009I was looking for a quick deal to take advantage of Cash for Clunkers. The Saleman (Calvin) was a nice guy and had a friendly way about him. I found a Mazda 3 that I liked and dealt with the Sale Manger to work out the deal. Tom was low… key/low pressure while we negotiated a deal. I didn't steal the car from him but I think i got a fair price. Overall a good experience. I would recommend this dealer. Not Great but Not Bad either
by jayp130 on 10/08/2008I leased 2009 Mazda 6. I must say my salesman made him and Mazda look like the victim every time I counter-offered. They work really hard for your business, they're worst customer is a knowledable customer (I guess that is the case for… anywhere) so go in there doing your research! and when they quote you do not be scared to ask for something absurdly lower than there quote (cause their quote is absurdly high), also don't feel bad if you leave without making the deal. Don't let comments like "it might not be here tomorrow" affect you. Also they will show you the "invoice" price and make it look like they're sacrificing so much for your business, but what they don't tell you about are dealer holdbacks on each car they sale. In conclusion I got reasonable deal also the dealership is very close to my residence, so I would recommend it in your shopping itinerary if you live in or close to the West Nyack, Rockland area.Professional and polite
by gitana37 on 06/30/2012updated 08/03/2025Chris Kinder was super-quick to reply to all our questions. His answers were clear and specific. We were impressed with his patience and professionalism.Deceitful Dealer, Horrible Experience
by SamPG1 on 06/10/2014updated 08/03/2025If you're looking for a dealership with integrity, stay away from Palisades Mazda. I tried to buy a car from them, and found them to be dishonest and the experience distasteful. Let me explain. I was looking for a used Mazda CX-9, had… visited this dealership previously, and was contacted by the salesman who said he had just taken in a car that was perfect for us. My wife and I returned for a test drive and the car was exactly what we were looking for. He quoted a price that worked for us, and we wanted to move forward. Two days later, he informed us that the car we wanted was driven the day before, was in an accident and seriously damaged, and was now no longer available. Two days later, he presented us with information on a "sister car with similar specs", but at a price $1800 higher. The car was not similar, it was the same car. When we reached back to the General Manager, and to the dealership's owner, The Premier Collection, we received a phone call confirming what we already knew... that the salesperson had lied, that this was the same car, but that the price was now higher. I don't know if they thought they could get more money from us or others, but this was insulting and disturbing. The General Manager said he was "sincerely" sorry that we were lied to, but that he would not honor the price we were previously quoted, quoted multiple times. He offered to knock another $500 off the "new price" because he felt bad about what happened, but would not honor any other price. I don't know if I've ever received a less sincere apology. After what transpired, I candidly expected the General Manager to at the very least honor the offer made to us. Instead, he explained that the original offer to us was his cost. It seemed he had no problem looking beyond the dealership"s blatant dishonesty, as long as the profit was maybe not the full $1800, but no less than $1300. I truly did not expect this apology conversation to simply be a guise for a price negotiation. I guess it's hard to put a price on sincerity and respect for one's customers. I guess deceptive tactics are simply part and parcel of the negotiation process at Palisades Mazda. The irony is the websites of both Palisades Mazda, and their parent company The Premier Collection, spell out their 4 guiding principles, 2 of which are integrity and respect for the individual. Maybe someone in marketing should show the website to management. My wife and I have moved on and are purchasing a car from an unrelated dealership. We think it's important to establish a relationship with a dealer you can trust, especially if you plan to return for service and more. I can't speak to the other dealerships owned by The Premier Collection, and whether they conduct business in a similar deceitful manner. What I can say is if you're looking to purchase a car from Palisades Mazda, at least go in with open eyes and know what you're dealing with.Worst purchasing experience ever!
by swit on 12/04/2012updated 08/03/2025Was it becase I am a woman? What did I do to deserve the worst car purchasing experience ever in my life? The salesman was inexperienced and a bit shady. I was totally ripped off on my trade in. The salesman screwed up the insurance switch… between the cars, never called me to tell me when the car would be in, never called to set up my first service appoinyment and kept me waiting 30mins on the day of the pick up (I had made an appoimtment and had two young kids with me). I will NEVER return to this dealership and people should walk away! The only professional in the place was the finanace man.Breath of Fresh Air
by bjhsj on 04/18/2011updated 08/03/2025After lengthy internet shopping, presales phone calls, as well as many hours and miles driving, I was frustrated with the car buying process. Then after one more search/phone call I found Chris Kinder, salesman at Palisades Mazda. He was a… breath of fresh air compared to my other experiences. After talking to him on the phone, I decided to drive a couple hours from south Jersey to West Nyack, NY, to check out a car at his dealership. He provided a great car buying experience, patiently answered a barrage of questions and phone calls, and facilitated the resolution of a post-purchase problem. In my judgement, he is a car salesman with honesty and integrity. I can't say enough about his customer service. So if you're looking to buy a car and are willing to drive a couple hours if needed, go visit Chris Kinder at Palisades Mazda.See Chris K at Palisades Mazda!
by Joyce624 on 05/12/2014updated 08/03/2025We purchased our new Mazda CX9 on 12/31/2013 and were extremely pleased with our sales experience. Chris K was wonderful -- he is knowledgeable, professional, informative, responsive and friendly. We've contacted him several times since… purchasing our vehicle and he always returns our calls promptly. He ensured a couple of items that needed attention, but were not completed before the purchase, were all finalized. It was delightful dealing with Chris!
