Excellent Customer Service!!!

5 out of 5 starsby Angelita on 03/26/2025

My experience began from the minute I enter the location everyone on the floor was so friendly and happy. I was greeted by not one but two representatives. One was the Manager Hannan A. Zafar , who I was scheduled to meet for just an informed VIP manger appointment. Mr. Zafar welcome and immediately provide education regarding offers available. He took his time to listened , and acknowledged my tentative interest. I had a lease Acura 2024 , but was unhappy. He reviewed my qualification status , and provided two options based on my interest. Mr. Zafar provide detail education about the ZDX, including nearby work and home where to charge , time of charge , the miles , the EV card $ 750. I test drive ZDX and MDX. Is more to say of the excellence of attention to detail, but I will never end writing this review 😂. Shout to Finance Manager Mr. Madrid , Zafar and James went above and beyond past 5:00 pm on a Sunday. James was the DMV guy, he also assist with connecting my phone to the Car play. Overall , as a consumer I recommend this location , they are very friendly , great atmosphere, every staff on the floor greets you and ensure you well taken care while waiting. Five star is very little to the level of customer service. In addition please note the initial of all this extraordinary experience was a web search to seek options. The minute I enter my contact base on browse interest ; I was contacted by not one, but four representatives including Mr.Zafar, Amy, April , and Miriam. Thank you Acura for such extraordinary team of professionals. Impressive experience, thank you again.

  • My First Acura

    5 out of 5 starsby alv2010 on 03/13/2010

Great buying experience, purchased previous at Paragon Honda and now with Paragon Acura, customer experience was excellent from the sale, finance and delivery specialist personnel. They understood my requirements and work with me on all aspects of the purchase without a hassle. I left Paragon with an understanding of all the features and a handle on how to adjust the settings. Thanks to Mark, James and Wendy for making the February 20 at Paragon a great and memorable experience. Keep up the great work, I will definitely recommend Paragon Acura.
  • Wendy Deshals is an Awesome dealer!

5 out of 5 starsby mishnyc on 03/01/2010

If you go to Paragon Acura make sure to ask for Wendy. Not only is she sweet and friendly, but she knows her cars! I went with my mother to buy a car and we ended up switching and getting a brand new fully equipped jeep for a great price. Wendy definitely knows how to make you feel comfortable during the whole process. Sometimes you walk into a dealership and feel the pressure, but it doesn't feel like this thanks to dealers like Wendy. Thanks Wendy!
    • Thank you so much for the kind words! It was a pleasure meeting you and I am here if you need anything in the future! Thanks for being such a joy to work with! Truely, Wendy

  • Great place

    5 out of 5 starsby mdx11 on 02/19/2010

I have to say I had my doubts about buying Acura. This is second nature to me when dealing with car dealerships. The folks at Acura did a great job in finding the deal I had been looking for roughly 4 months. Everyone was very detailed in their job function from the sales person who described the cars functionality to the Delivery manager who took the time to show me the features of my new car (very pretty by the way). Everyone with a smile and very service oriented during the sales process. It was not a hard sale trying to push the car and the deal was made with my best intentions. They even returned my old car to the other dealer for me.
  • Great customer service!!

Paragon helped me get the car that i wanted at a price i can afford. Mike in the finance dept made sure i understood every detail about my lease. He was also a big help in helping me understand my credit. Melvin was wonderful, he paid attention to every detail from beginning to end and got me such a great quote on my insurance. Wendy was the best. She stayed after closing and showed me every detail of my new car and taught me how to work everything, and i mean everything. She was very informative and even called me the next day to make sure iwas completely satisfied with my new car. Overall my experience at paragon was wonderful, i will definetly do business with them again!

To whom this may concern, My wife and I canceled our plans to go away for the weekend on July 31st, 2009. We both took off from work to buy a car. We found one we like at Paragon Acura. It was a 2008 Acura TL Type S VIN number 19UUA76528A017285. I set up my insurance, checked my credit, worked out financing. I also cleaned my car to possibly use as a trade in vehicle. I also reviewed this car for hours and checked the Car Fax. Overall a lot of time was spent. So, I called to make sure the car was still there and they called me to confirm an appointment. I went in on July 31st and sat down with a salesperson. He took some information from me and I proceeded to ask before we start lets take the car for a test drive. He tells me he will go check. He comes back and tells me "it was just sold" and instantly said "but we have a white one"! Pure bait and switch tactics! I obviously stormed out of there. He had the audacity to say "come back again"! I had two friends call and see what they would say to them if they asked if the car was available. Paragon Acura told both of my friends that the car is available. They just use the car as bait!! Please do something about these [violative content deleted]. Their website says it's available.
  • Horrible Service

    1 out of 5 starsby slspyder115 on 03/11/2009

I am currently seeking a toyota 4runner. Suddenly I find that Paragon Acura has this car. I figured some consumer traded in his 4runner for an acura. I call them and I inquire about the car, and the woman who answered my phone call stated that the car is AVAILABLE and it was priced at $13,600 and she would provide a $300 discount. She helped me schedule an appointment to see the car ON THE SAME DAY. Now, this car apparently was just listed on their website, it was only newly listed for ONE day. I arrive at the dealership, I ask for the car...and they tell me that THEY SOLD THE CAR AND THE BUYER TOOK IT TO AFRICA. I spoke to the sales associate at 2:40 p.m, and I got there at 4:30 p.m. Now you are going to tell me, that they sold that car in less than 2 hours!?!?!? How stupid do you think I am. That was the lamest excuse I have ever heard. I took my parents to go see the car with me and to my surprise it was not there...on top of that I get the lamest excuse I have ever heard. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP EVER AGAIN!!! I was also going to pay cash! They are [violative content deleted]. Buyers please beware. This is called a "Switch and Bait". I have many friends whom were ex-dealers that notified me about this trick. They post a price online that is almost TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Once you arrive, they tell u that the car is sold (which was probably never there to begin with) and they con you into buying another car.
  • Lies

    1 out of 5 starsby mad14 on 02/13/2009

I bought an acura last month and left them my nissan. The salesman promised he would get my old car inspected for me and I gave him all my paperwork on it. However, it was a lie. He never called nissan to get my car inspected and told me that he did. He said that nissan was not going to inspect the car so not to worry. Of course, one month later I received a statement for it. When I tried to discuss this situation with a manager, no one called me back. After 5 messages I was forced to go there. Once there, the manager told me he would take care of this situation for me. But of course, he didn't. After another 5 messages, I decided to go to the owner. He never returned any of my phone calls, so I went there again. He didn't apalogize for his lying salesman or for the manager or for himself. He did however, agree to pay $500 out of the $1,700 I was charged. I explained again that I would have gotten the car inspected myself and would have paid less than half of it, because I would have fixed what was wrong with my nissan on my own. He didn't like my attitude so he took back his offer and gave me nothing. He was very unprofessional about the situation. Please don't but a car from this Acura dealer. They are [violative content deleted]!
  • Car Has A Deposit On It

1 out of 5 starsby AnnoyedShopper on 12/16/2008

I contacted the Dealership about purchasing a 2007, 2008 MDX. The Sales person (Arthur) told me they had a 2008 with 1,273 miles. He quoted me a price $34,900. We made an appointment for me and my wife to go in to see the car, when she got off work. On our way their we called to say that we were running late foro our 6:30 appointment (stuck in traffic). At that point the sales man informed me that they closed at 7 PM. They tried discouraging us saying that they would be closed by the time we got there. After voicing my displeasure they were "able to keep the doors open" for us. When we arrived at 7:15 PM the showroom had several other potential buyers.... appparently they held the doors open for quite a few people. No big issue with that.... just that they were full of it! The Sales Manager (Roger Harry) then proceeded to tell me that the car in question, which we were there to see and drive, was at another location, and "had a deposit on it, from someone seeking to secure financing". He tried to beef up his credibility by telling us he was a minister (not much different from a used car sales man, in my estimation), and he was a martial arts instructor. These things were to support his repeated claim that he was a "straight shooter". Well Mr. Straight Shooter, and minister, lied when he said he would call us the next morning, after a manager's meeting, where he would find out exactly what was going on with the car in question. I am still waiting for his call -- despite my leaving him several messages two days later. I called the dealership about what inventory they had, and they mentioned a car, which incidentally had the same mileage, color and specs, but was now listed at $39,900. Immediately following a customer feedback call where we expressed our great dissatisfaction with the dealership, Arthur called to say that they had sold the car. The next morning I called to inquire about the car. It is still available for sale! I have no problem with Paragon changing their minds, or wanting to make more money, but I always amused that people with limited mental capacity assuming they are anything but.... A straight shooter could have told me the real deal. Like a real man would! Buying a car is stressful enough, I don't need the addtional aggravation. Car dealerships are a dime a dozen. Why deal with people who insult my intelligence, or waste my time! It's not as if we wer begging them for a car - we were going to pay cash!
  • NUMBER 1 FOR DISHONESTY, UNETHICAL, AND UNCARING.

1 out of 5 starsby wilhem on 08/03/2008

I'll make this as short and painful as possible. Day 1 -Chose MDX was given a price, I informed them that I will think about it and was told ok. Not 15 minutes goes by when I called them back and agreed to the deal and that I will return the next day to close and was told great! see you tomorrow. Day 2 Went in after work and was told by the sales [violative content deleted] to give her 10 minutes. After waiting 2 hours, I apologized and said that I will return tomorrow because I was starving and couldn't wait any longer. Day 3 Called Sales [violative content deleted] and informed her that I was working late, but that I will be there by 7pm. She lied and said they are closing early and to came on the following day. (actual closing is 9) Day 4 Went in and was welcomed with a huge smile by sales [violative content deleted] who said sorry the car is sold and was too busy to help me, but that she will get someone else. What looked like an eighteen year old informed me the deal was for my initial visit only (day 1) and was now unavailable. I was very upset and informed them in a not so peaceful way that they were dishonest and that I agreed to the terms of the deal, but that it was never finalized because sales [violative content deleted] didn't return my calls or acknowledged me when I was there. The Manager noticed the commotion and took me to his office to speak. It took me a while to calm down, but the manager apologized and said to come the next day and he will give me a great deal. Day 5 Dealt with another sales [violative content deleted] and was pressured into a not so great deal, but after 5 days, and a lot of distractions ([violative content deleted] walking around in miniskirts and high heels, music videos blasting) my head was spinning and agreed to almost everything. In retrospect, I was a fool and should have ran out like my life depended on it on day 2. Present- Not happy with my inflated payments, but a little wiser when it comes to car dealers. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST. [violative content deleted]
  • Positive experience at Paragon Acura

    4 out of 5 starsby seawolf21 on 06/04/2008

Just purchased a 2008 MDX at Paragon and had a positive experience there. I believe most reviewers of this dealership failed to do their homework before walking into a dealership and became victims of various sales tactics dealerships use on unsuspecting consumers. Unless you’re merely doing a test drive, don’t walk into any showroom without arming yourself with information and get everything in writing. A new car is just like any other commodity you find in the supermarket except it’s got more digits in the price tag. The vehicle offered by this dealership is the same as one offered by a competing dealership. Make dealerships bid for your business and pit them against each other instead of trying to negotiate with them. I contacted ten dealerships in the NYC area and had invited them to provide detailed out the door quotes for the exact vehicle I wanted. Seven responded and the spread between the highest and the lowest were about $6,000!!! Some just provided vehicle prices while others provided detailed out the door. The dealerships know what you are doing and those who provided the most detailed quotes tend to be the ones who provided the lowest prices mainly because the dealers provided the least detailed quotes don’t want to waste their time when they know they’re prices are higher than the competitor. Paragon Acura was not the cheapest in their initial quote but when I presented their Internet sales department with the numbers from the lowest dealership, they agreed to match. Essentially, I already had an understanding with the dealer on the price before I even set foot into the dealership. When I first set foot in the dealership to close the deal, a salesman try to loop me in but backed off after I told him I already have an appointment with the Internet sales department contact. The transaction went pretty smooth. The numbers were finalized and the deal was done within an hour (20 minutes of which was me at the bank getting an official check). I went with Paragon because they had the vehicle available for immediately delivery while the lowest quote dealer didn’t. Finally, dealers get more aggressive on pricing near month end (I purchased on May 31). They have internal sales quotas they need to make and may sell at a small loss if it helps them meet their numbers. In summary, if you don’t do your homework, you’ll get fleeced by most dealerships because they have multiple levers to work with to extract the most cash from you (vehicle price, financing, trade-in). The only way you can fight back against that is to have dealers bid for your business.
  • Worst Experience Ever

1 out of 5 starsby pinupgirl on 04/13/2008

Paragon Acura is the worst dealership in NYC area. When I visited to get a good quote for MDX, a chinese gentleman who introduced himself as a Sales Manager asks the sticker price, and no more. He literally turned away and ignores me who wants a good quote. I don't know how they do business with that kind of attitude, but I would never go there in my life ever. Highly unrecommended.

1 out of 5 starsby kyungjpark on 02/13/2008

Got great discount on the car, but says I have to finance through them. I did, and they add $8000 to the invoice value saying it's something i must have... one of them being "window etching" which they tell me a factory default for all Paragon Acura. I asked 3 associates to let me know where the etching was done. 1 says on the windshield, which I was not able to see, the other says on the back right windows, which I was not able to see, and the other says it's invisible through naked eye, which is written hidden under the driver-side window. I researched online, and 100 things they told me was the "typical dealer lies". I went to go fight for my rights and got my $8000 back.

Saw a car, went in they said i must finance through them, even if I had my finance through my bank already. They refuse to sell me the car beacuase I didnt finance through them. Went back after to finance through them and have my bank take over the loan later. I put a deposit down on the car, and did all the paperwork. Was scheduled to pickup the next day, hours before i was suppose to pick up, they called and said the car was sold. I was like [violative content deleted]? Same day i realised my drivers liscense was missing. Called them they said they didnt have it. Thats the only place i remember removing my it from my wallet. I had to hurry to the DMV to get a new one, I'm pretty sure they kept my DL. [violative content deleted]!! This place is a ripoff. Please stay away from this place. They tried getting me into another car, not what i wanted, and even told me they wont change the price if the new car cost more. To get someone on the phone over there, forget about it. The sales guy I signed the deal with never returned my phone calls after leaving him several voicemails. I'm still waiting for my refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THEY'RE RIP-OFFS!!! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!!
  • Beware shaddy dealership

I visited Paragon Acura on 11/17 to inquire about a 08 MDX. Immediately i was shown several models. I asked to see a specific color. They said they did not have the color i requested but what would be my next choose i told them black. The Asst. Sales Manager showed me a black one on the lot and asked if I would like this one. I looked at it and immediately told them I would take it. They asked for my drivers license and I began to fill out all of the paper work and gave them my money and told them I would take possession of the vehicle the next day, which was Sunday. The Asst. manager said fine no problem. The car will be ready for you on Sunday. On my way to the dealer ship on Sunday I receive a call saying there was a problem. When i arrived at the dealership they told me the car was sold. SOLD! How in the world can you sell a car that was already sold. They said that the only thing they can do for me was get me the same car in three days. They wouldn't even agree to lower the price for the inconvenience. I told them no please refund my money. Which they said they would do but still have not done. They immediately tried to get me into another vehicle that they had on the lot. Very persistant in trying to bully me into another car. When I got home on Sunday, i realized that they still had my drivers license. I called them to find out if they indeed had my license and was told yes. I went back there the next day and was told the license was not there it was in my folder that was sent over to the financial office for my refund. So, now I have to wait for them to get the folder back in order to get my license from them. I think they are holding my license so I can't go to another dealership. I am trying to find out the regional manager or CEO of Acura to right them a letter informing them of Paragon's shaddy tactics. I will be going down to motor vehicle on Monday to get a replacement license. I refused to even go back there again!. They might steal my wallet.
  • Do not go to this dealership!! Worst car dealership in NYC!!

1.3 out of 5 starsby boonson on 09/19/2007

Paragon Acura is the worst dealership in NYC, trust me, do not go to this dealership. I purchased a certified pre-owned Acura from this dealership recently, what a horrible experience!! First, they promised me things that they would fix and do on the day of pickup, but nothing was done and they let me waited for hours before telling me that they couldn’t fix the problems and asked me to pickup the car, and come back to have the problems fixed later. I was there three times and still haven’t got the problems fixed. Then a few days later, the finance manager called and said they made a mistake on the contract and asked me to go back and redo the contract. So I went back and told them that I refused to redo the contract because it’s a legal binding document. This time, another finance manager met me and threatened me that they would keep my car and won’t give my money back. I told him that I would call the police and contact my lawyer, but he still refused to cooperate and gave me a nasty attitude. After an hour of waiting, they finally agreed to keep the original contract terms and let me go. Do not go to this dealership!! Do not buy anything from them!! Do not trust these people!!
  • Simply Horrible

They rip you off here at Paragon. Service is very slow and they are [violative content deleted]. I knew there was a problem with my brakes and all they said was it was normal. I only went to Paragon for a second opinion on a problem that my mechanic already had all figured out. Down the end I wasted my time and money at Paragon Acura waking up early in the morning and not getting my car until the service department was about to close, thats how slow they were. I went back to my own mechanic and had the problem fixed and they did an excellent job. I guess honesty isn't part of their job at the Paragon Service department after all these customers are paying dealership prices for services but what do they care.

As usual, I had a wonderful experience at Paragon acura. This is my third purchase (2007 mdx, 2011 mdx, 2014 mdx) from the dealership and at least 10 of my family members and friends have also purchased an acura from this dealership based on my prior experiences. I am most fond of and grateful for the honesty, sincerity, thoroughness, and professionalism of Jean M. and Peter P. Without these guys, driving an mdx would have been nothing more than a fantasy. I would like to give a special thanks Tina for her patience and advice during my most recent purchase. As always, Murat also provided awesome guidance and help.

Very simply, I was in contact with Paragon daily and even 3 hours prior to coming into the showroom to look at a specific vehicle which I identified. Wife and 6 month twins in tow, I travelled to see the vehicle only to be told when I got there that the vehicle was sold. Of course as I am writing this review it is still listed on the website. This place is shady. Be careful!

  • Smooth Transaction with Sales Guys at 48th Street Location

My Review of Paragon Acura: I am first timer of purchasing an Acura MDX, prior to my BMW X5, Lexus RX, and Infiniti FX35. I found this dealer thru Acura.com submitted a quote request online and I received an email confirmation and price quote within 1 hour. Then the following day I got a call from the internet sales department and she transferred me to talk with the sales rep Camilo Barrientos which he stays at 48th street most of the time. By the way, Paragon Acura has two show room locations, one at 5602 Northern Blvd. and the other one is at 4802 Northern Blvd., these guys are at 4802 are very friendly (treating like a brother) and they work as a team, unlike most of the sales at a dealership else where fighting each other. They’re helping each other from selecting a car, filing paper work and transferring the plates. Believe or not, I purchased this MDX without a test-drive because I drove the older model 2 years ago for about a week from a friend of mine. Another person I would like to mention, Linda Alling, she explained every details and how to operate the MDX. Well educated, great job. Way to go, keep up your team, Murat. If you have any other questions about my review or you want to know more about the sales guys at this dealership, please contact me via phone or email at anytime.
    • On behalf of all of us at Paragon Acura thank you for you kind words. Our team works hard to assure every customer drives away happy and I'm pleased to hear we reached this goal during your visit. Enjoy the MDX! If there is anything we can do to further assist you just let us know. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with all our specials and current offers! I was in the market for a certified 2008 Acura TL. After doing my initial research like any car buyer should, I have just recently purchased a fully loaded 2008 Acura TL from Paragon Acura. The sales person that I dealt with was Peter Mills. Peter is very courteous and knowledgable with Acuras. He spent a great deal of time taking me through their inventory and helped me select the right car for me. Darek was the sales manager that I dealt with. I was approved for an auto loan with Capital One prior to going to the dealership. After several bids and couple of visits, Darek and I settled on a price. I have been researching prices for Acura on several websites like Cars.com, autotrader.com and even directly through various Acura dealerships in town. The price we settled on for the fully loaded TL model is easily several thousands cheaper than any competitors. Darek, then looked into my auto loan from Capital One and promised me that he would get me a loan through Acura/Honda Finances. Though, I was pre-determined to simply use the blank check from Capital One, I am very glad that I listened to Darek because he worked with his finance managers and got me a great interest rate. The difference will save me over $4,000 over the course of the loan. After purchasing the car, Darek even threw in a nice set of all season mats for the car. He clearly didn't have to do this because we had already agreed upon everything, which was very nice of him. The car had to be detailed for me before it was available for pick up. They did an awesome job with the detailing. Few minor scratches that were on the car before were completely gone, which I was very happy about. The day, I picked up the car I met their Delivery Manager, Wendy Deshais. Wendy is very resourceful and patient. She spent over an hour going over all the various features the luxury car had to offer. This is my first time buying a nice car and I am very glad that the dealership has a person dedicated to teach you about the car. Wendy is very knowledgeable with all the functions and features of the car and she took her time explaining each and every one. She was very polite and friendly when I started asking her questions about all these features. I am glad that the dealership has a person like Wendy because what is the point of owning a nice car if you don't know anything about the car or how to use it properly. I highly recommend this dealership because I got a good deal and certainly enjoyed my car buying experience.
    • Thank you so much from all of us here at Paragon Acura! We love to receive feedback from happy customers. Peter, Darek, and Wendy will all be thrilled to hear that you thought highly enough of their service to personally mention them in your review. If there is anything else we can do for you don't hesitate to give us a call! Also, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Regards, Brian Benstock - General Manager
