Regrets
by Joe Onolfo on 07/24/2024My experience with Westbury Toyota started when I bought a 2018 Corolla and the sales associate spelt my first name wrong after taking my license to input my information. I’ve been a customer with Toyota for 12 years and I’ve never had a… bad experience with their vehicles nor the people who service them until now. My service was appalling, when I dropped my car off for service the technician wasn’t clear on what was to happen, I told them I had an issue with the battery or the alternator and not to change any parts that weren’t covered under warranty. The following day they told me the battery was dead and it would be almost $400 to replace it, I said I would pick up the car and when I arrived was told to pay over $200 for them to jumpstart my car twice when I told them the battery was stone cold dead at intake. What does my warranty pay for if not to have the car jumped at the service shop when it won’t start? When I called to talk to the service manager Tony Vicente they jumped me around between the service department the front desk and the parts department before I was able to get his voicemail at 4pm and let him know in advance that I would be leaving this review so they’d have an opportunity to rectify my dissatisfaction with the quality of service I received, I’ve been a customer with Toyota since 2012 and never had an experience this bad. When I went to pick the car up and got to actually talk to the service manager he had told me he’d only been in his position for about 2 months and seem to be confused about how I arrived to pick up my vehicle plus they needed 3 people just to try and figure out what was wrong as well as trying to blame the “new computer system” that Toyota implemented. Nick garguilo, manager of the automotive shop tried to help and said he’d handle it but I’m still waiting for it to be handled, at the end of this whole process Toyota corporate put me in touch with Chris the customer relations manager of Westbury Toyota who assured me the refund was in my mailbox waiting for me to cash it and to call when I receive it, after 6 weeks of chasing people for an answer no such payment was received therefore I was forced to leave this review, why they couldn’t refund my card is beyond me. Don’t buy your new Toyota from westbury Toyota or at least save yourself the headache and bring it somewhere else for service. Koji Sato and Tetsuo Ogawa should feel dishonor for what the company does to its customersBetter service for same wait time and cost elsewhere

Customer Service personnel was professional and courteous.Jon, we're glad to know you had a swift and professional service experience at Westbury Toyota. Even when I asked him a question he was not aware of, he said he would… ask because he wasn’t sure which I appreciate. The finance guy, Alex was able to get me to the number I needed to be at. Terrible! Frustrating! Aggravating! Experience (Leasing)

But, they ARE car sales people, and that tells the story. They're friendly, calm, informative,… knowledgeable. But: the buyer needs to know as much as possible before talking with these salespeople. On The Other Hand: The leasing person was arrogant, snotty, aloof, unwilling to answer questions. His attitude was: Don't bother to ask questions: We're not going to change anything in the lease documents no matter what you say or do. So, be quiet and sign these twenty-four papers. No, he didn't actually say any of those things, but all of that radiated from him during the entire forty minute lease process. [He did actually tell me to not bother reading most of the papers I had to sign.] Without question, one the the very worst experiences of my life. This is one customer who will NEVER deal with Westbury Toyota again. Not to buy. Not to lease.Thank you for your feedback. We run an honest, customer-focused business and pride ourselves on top-of-the-line guest care, and I sincerely apologize you've been left feeling differently. I will share this review with my team in our constant effort to evaluate and improve the leasing process for our clients, but I'd also be glad to talk this through directly. Please reach out to me. Very happy with my choice

Luckily, I was able to work with salesman Elijah at Westbury Toyota. He clearly,… nicely, and with good humor, explained all of the steps and time frames involved in purchasing. I was able to get a beautiful RAV4 hybrid in a reasonable time. He brought the car around so we can load into the new one. While paperwork was being put in… order he showed us the car features. The day after he took out the DVD we forgot.
