Victor and Phil are Great

Unfortunately they couldnt find one in the area for me so i was getting… nervous. But Victor and Phil kept looking every day for me and finally found the car i wanted. They were both VERY personable and down to earth. there was no b.s. like other dealerships out there and gave me all info straight up. I look forward to being with wantagh mazda for this lease and other leases to come. Very Good Experience

Origianlly was looking at a 6 but was looking to spend a little less so he showed me that there was not a lot of… difference in the 3 and none of the differences were important to me. He didn't push the options and in the end we made a good deal. Great Place

When I finally did make the purchase, I was able to meet some of the other salesman and all of… them were friendly and helpful. A trustworthy dealership

Phil Puleo the sales manager is a down to earth guy who makes the buying experience easy and stress free. He makes the… buying experience a pleasure. This is my second Mazda purchase that my wife and myself have made. Now both of our cars are Mazdas. Most dealerships I have dealth with have only focused on the husband which is a dumb strategy on their part. Phil was very respectful to my wife and daughters. That's a big deal for me. I have always owned another brand of car but Mazda has won my business over. Their finance manager Ken and their service department manager Gary are also great to deal with. This is a family owned business and they try to make you feel apart of their family. Thank you Wantagh Mazda- From Ben.You are so very welcome, Ben, and thank you for your glowing review! They treat you like family

Victor has been our sales rep for the past two deals and I cannot say enough good things about him. He… treats us like we are part of his family or old friends every time we see him. He is so easy to talk to, so down to earth and will take away any negative feelings you have against car salesmen. He tries to get you the best deal possible and make you happy any way he can. The dealership itself is full of nice people who offer you donuts and coffee and even lunch one day when we came by including wraps, pasta salad etc. my two kids ran around the place jumping in and out of cars and not only did they never appear to be slightly annoyed by them, they would engage them and play around with them while they were there. Not to mention the car we got is also fantastic. Look no further for your next car and do yourself a favor and visit victor at wantagh Mazda. I went to a few car dealerships before this, and they were all unpleasant experiences. Almost immediately after… stepping into Wantagh Mazda, I was sure that I wanted to purchase one of their vehicles; after a few days of test-driving, David helped me come to the conclusion that the 2016 Mazda3i GT was the car for me. Honesty, integrity, and a great price!
by 279ppww on 07/21/2016We had a fantastic and unique (in a very positive way) buying experience working with Joe Bonavita at Wantagh Mazda. We have been so happy with our 2 Mazda CX-5s (originally traded out of BMWs to Mazda) that we went shopping for a 3rd… Mazda. We read great things about Wantagh Mazda's family owned business approach to selling cars, and decided to stop in for a look. The location is very convenient - right off of the Wantagh Parkway on Sunrise Highway. Upon entering the showroom, Joe Bonavita greeted us immediately with a friendly smile. Despite the ruckus that we brought with us into the dealership (i.e. 4 kids ranging from ages 2 to 4), Joe was extremely patient, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable in explaining the available vehicles and incentive programs. In stark contrast to the high pressure, game filled sales approach that is so common at other car dealerships, our experience with Joe and Wantagh Mazda was very pleasant, and relaxed with ZERO sales pressure. Joe presented to us a very straightforward and very attractive lease deal for a new CX-5. When we asked if there was any additional wiggle room in the quote, Joe assured us that he and his manager always seek to present their customers with the best deal possible off the bat to earn their business, rather than waste time via a let me ask my manager back and forth sales approach. He asked us to take as much time as we needed to think about the deal, and even gave us a written detailed quote that we could review and compare with other dealers. Joe let us leave the dealership without any hassle or trouble, with the written deal in hand. To our surprise, in the days following our visit to the showroom, we were not harassed by any bus dev or inside salespeople trying to pressure us to return. In addition, after sanity checking Joe's deal vs. several other dealers, we learned that we were, indeed, being given a fantastic deal (other dealers even said - "take the deal, and get me one too"). We happily returned to Wantagh Mazda where Joe and his manager honored the written deal in its entirety, with no questions asked, no bait and switch nonsense / surprises, and no attempts to upsell us on services / parts / warranties that we did not want. In summary, the combination of an amazing deal along with the honesty, straightforwardness, and integrity of Joe and his team made us very happy customers. We look forward to returning to Wantagh Mazda for our future vehicle needs. Victor L has always been great with my folks. He welcomed my folks back and… patiently let us view the new models. After sitting in a Mazda 3 in the showroom Victor suggested for us to test drive one. We got to experience the car and all its neat features on the Wantagh Parkway. When it came time to settle on the new lease, Victor was on top of all the paperwork. He was upfront with all the costs and even went out of his way to make sure I have all the papers I need to close on my old lease. I got the car and picked it up four days later. UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
by mack_masterson on 07/07/2016Where to begin? First, my car shopping experience was great. I met with a gentleman named Marino, who was very friendly and forthcoming. My wife and I felt very comfortable and trusting, and ultimately felt like we were getting a good… deal on our trade in and on our CX-5. We signed the paperwork, came back a few days later to drop off our Jeep and pick up our new Mazda. Once we came to pick up the vehicle and the check for the equity on our trade-in, we were told by the manager, Phil, that a check was not ready because "the girl" who cuts the checks did not do it during the week, and being that it was a Saturday, she was off. I didn't think this was a problem. Phil gave me the option of coming back to pick up the check or having them mail it. I opted for the latter. A week passes and we do not receive the check so I call up and speak to Phil who assures me the check was delayed because of a family emergency, but it was going to go out that day, and if I didn't receive it in a few days, I should reach out to him. A few days pass and nothing, so I shoot him a text. He tells me to give it a few more days and if I still don't receive it, to reach out to him. A few more days pass and the check still doesn't come. I ask him if they can put a stop payment on this check, cut a new one and I'll pick it up in person, to which he agrees and tells me to come in after the weekend because he's not there to make sure the check gets cut. I tell him I'll be there first thing in the morning, to which he replies to come in during the afternoon, when he will be in the dealership. I thought it was a little strange that when he was there, it was "the girls" responsibility to cut the check, and now that he's not there, "he has to be there to make sure the check gets cut", but I agreed. Phil then texts me a picture of the check that supposedly went out the week prior. Monday morning rolls around, so I text Phil to remind him that I'll be coming in for the check. Phil texts me back telling me he will not be in until the later afternoon and will text me once he gets the check in hand. I am now starting to get weary so I tell Phil that late afternoon is fine, so long as I can go in sometime today to pick up the check. This is when things took a left turn. Phil calls me up with a slight attitude and doesn't allow me to talk. He tells me to let him say what he has to say and then he'll let me talk - "that's how this works." I found this extremely unprofessional but figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. He goes on and on about the context of how I'm seemingly treating him unfairly for wanting my check - I let him continue. He finishes talking and I am only able to get 1.5 sentences out of my mouth before Phil starts talking over me again. I start giving him back his line of "you finish, now I talk. Isn't this how this works?" however he is continually talking over me like I'm not even talking....UNBELIEVABLE!! So at this point I'm trying to get a word in, but Phil is now raising his voice. I let him finish and as soon as I start to try and talk again, HE HANGS UP ON ME!! I call back, I tell him he's being unfair because he is not allowing me, A CUSTOMER, to voice my concerns over what seems to me as something strange. Well halfway through this sentence, he's talking over me again and yelling at me. I started feeling like I've been being way too complacent and I'm now starting to worry that I'm being given the run-around for my check. I start to lose my temper and raise my voice before Phil hangs up on me for the second time. I call Phil back and tell him that he is being extremely unprofessional, I'm a customer and I cannot believe that he's treating me like a highschool ex-girlfriend. I tell him this will be the last time I will be calling him back, and if he could please listen to me, as the several weeks that have passed has only been him talking, and nothing from my end. As predicted, Phil starts screaming at me and mentioning his family emergency, and then hangs up on me again. Fed up, I text Phil letting him know that my next call will be to the district/regional manager of Mazda. Surprise surprise, Phil calls me back and tells me I will be hearing from somebody who's at the dealership, regarding my check. 10 minutes later I get a call from a polite gentleman, telling me my check is ready - whenever I decide to come get it. I arrive at the dealership 1 hour later. Phil is still not in, and yet I am able to pick up my check and leave. I still have not received the "original" check in the mail. Maybe it was lost in the mail, maybe not. The issue here is not the delay in me receiving the check, or the issue of me having to go out of my way to drive and pick up the check. The issue here is the way Phil treated me, yelled at me as if I was a child and he was my father. Needless to say, I regret buying from this dealership and will never give them any of my business again.Mack, We have seen your feedback on Yelp as well as here and our GM Vin Vergara would very much like to hear from you ASAP to personally apologize and attempt to rectify your negative feelings about your experience with our employee. We've always had these cars serviced @ Wantagh Mazda and the work performed has always been excellent. When we were in the market… for another Mazda, there was no question which dealership we would visit. When looking at other brands, it seems that the other dealers are trying to get the most out of you but @ Wantagh Mazda, they want to get you the best deal, right from the start of the process. We just took delivery of our 3rd Mazda from Wantagh Mazda and although there was a little miscommunication, Wantagh Mazda went the distance and made sure that we were a satisfied customer. I went there with an attorney because 1 she's my friend, 2 because I don't know how to negotiate.… We were greeted by Jonathan. Very welcoming and friendly. He let us test drive the car on our own. We went on the "scenic" test drive on on Wantagh parkway down to the roundabout and all that where I was really able to get a feel for the car. So anyways, after the test drive there was very little negotiations. And that's because they are different than other dealerships. I felt like it only took 5 minutes from when we came back from test driving to coming to an agreement. They gave me an honest, bottom dollar offer that even my attorney friend was shocked about. It was a great deal. Now I drive a great, brand new car and it doesn't even break bank.Thank you so much for your kind review! Won me over
by stewping on 06/16/2016After being royally messed over by another dealer, I went to Wantagh Mazda as they had the car my son wanted. I learned from them that that car was sold, but, they would do all they could to help me. I took that with a grain of salt. Vin… found the car we wanted, a Mazda 3 S Touring (even our preferred color), called and said he could get it for me. The only problem was price. Between him and Phil, they got the price down to what we felt was reasonable, and told them to go ahead and get it. We originally set up for pick up at 3 on a Saturday. I called Saturday morning and told them we had to be on the road by 3 as we needed to get down to Philly. I said if they couldn’t do it, I would get a power of attorney to sign for my son and pick it up Monday. I spoke to Kenny and he told me that it would be a problem as we didn’t have insurance papers or the deal written up. After I arranged to get the insurance card faxed to them, I called back and Kenny said we could come in at 1:30. Since our salesman wasn’t there, they assigned another salesman to us, who didn’t push for anything special, just tried to expedite the paper work. All I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised by the whole process and I felt like they bent over backwards to help us out.
