Best car buying expierence
by amab1981 on 12/27/2010updated 06/10/2025Very nice and refreshing to deal with an honest and upfront dealer. I received a quick quote from the internet department. Once I arrived at the dealership the car I was interested in was wait for me to test drive. The deal went very smooth… with no hidden charges or fees, they even gave me free inspections of the vehicle. I was very please with the whole experience.Nice Salesman, but unable to meet price
by theresa17 on 06/30/2012updated 06/10/2025This was the first dealerhip I went to. The salesman, Nick, was very nice and tried to accomodate my financial situtation. I had a trade-in and discussed financing. Before I walked out, I agreed to give this dealershp the opportunity to… meet or beat a price from another dealer. I decided to Internet shop with dealers within a 150 mile radius of Syracuse. I also decided to sell my car privately. Bottom line: Sold my vehicle for privately, and purchased my 2012 Honda from another dealership, as this dealership was unable to compete with the price. Overall, I believe this dealership would serve someone very well, if only it could have met the price. I would recommend them.
About our dealership
Hi! I could agree with comments that theresa17 mentioned more than 2 years ago as it is now January 2015. Generally, Dealerships have a more difficult time moving and selling used cars beyond 3 years old. It cost them money for any car sitting on the lot. The internet/ world wide web plays in our favor regarding getting a fair deal. Every business has an overhead and expenses other than paying their employees (techs, sales, accountant, receptionist, etc.). Also the delivery cost of bringing in new vehicles. Each dealer has different accrued cost then pricing of vehicles. I was not able to negotiate price on a Certified Pre-Owned but was able to get some changes added to our agreement like brand new different "better quality" tires , free NYS Inspections as long as I owned the car, lower hourly service rates on non-powertrain repairs, plus a 12 month/12,000 mile bumper to bumper coverage including the continuance of the original 7 year/ 100,000 mile warranty. I do agree about not selling your car (trade in) to any dealership but that depends upon how quickly you need money/ transportation and your other financial obligations. Wealthy people don't fuss or they have inside deals or offers to give. Lamacchia might not be able to match or beat everyone but they do offer a reasonable price on new and used cars. Check NADA, Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book, U.S. News and look at other dealers. Lamacchia even includes Free CARFAX a $39.99 value. By the time you work at reducing the difference between $24,393.92 and $24,300 and traveling 300 miles to Save $93.92 is ridiculous. Times have changed and it is okay for you to seek business elsewhere if not satisfied. Every person and situation is different. For most part I can't say I've been wronged with Lamacchia Honda of Syracuse. Recently Ihad bought a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Civic EX at Lamacchia and I'm happy. I hope the next several people buying a car there are happy also.
