  • Wasted 2 weeks of my time. Not recommended.

    This dealership is a HUGE waste of time! After being referred by a co-worker I stopped here looking to lease a vehicle. I went in with all my research, vehicle prices, fair market numbers etc... I first met with Doug who was nice at the time. He gave us his card and told us to email him when we were ready to make a decision. We emailed him just to get back a very odd email asking for personal information and confusing me with another customer. We corrected him and asked about going ahead with a lease. We never heard back. I then inquired again through their text line hoping to be set up with a different salesperson. After telling her what vehicle I was interested in, I was given an insane number (More than one would pay for an Audi). I simply asked what the terms were and how it came to these numbers? I was given a rude reply and never heard back AGAIN. Finally, I was referred to Julian from a friend. I went in to test drive a vehicle and he gave us his card since they were closing soon. When we didn't hear back, we started looking elsewhere, but still decided to email Julian inquiring about the vehicle in question. I had received another offer from a dealer in Buffalo. I shared that information as I would really like to stay local. Julian said numerous times he will share the numbers, but again, no reply. I sent one last email with what car I wanted, fair market price, and what I wanted my payments to be. He replied saying my "offer was very reasonable" and he will talk to a sales manager and let me know by the end of the day. 8 o'clock comes and goes and at 8:30 I received an email saying I should "Go to the other dealership and get the vehicle because its a killer deal" and "Due to inventory, we can't do anything." Keep in mind the vehicle in question has been on their lot for 6+ months!! How do they not want to make a deal? Never in my life have I witnessed a car dealer not wanting to work for customer ready to make a deal. Never in my life have I seen a car dealership not respond back to a SALE INQUIRY when their literal job is sales. I have never heard of a car dealer telling a potential customer to go elsewhere. This dealership has wasted 2 weeks of my time and I will make sure to tell all my friends and family to look elsewhere when shopping for a new Honda.

    I have gotten two vehicles from Brad Constantino. I have been buying cars for 40 years and have never had such easy transactions as I’ve had with him. I recently turned in one of my leased vehicles. I dreaded the process but guess what? I was in and out in less than 1/2 hour, start to finish! Incredible. The whole atmosphere at IDE Honda is nothing I’ve ever experienced before and having Brad for a salesman has been awesome., he’s straight forward, figures out what you need, gives you a fair deal and you’re out the door. No hassle at all and it doesn’t hurt that’s he’s just a nice guy! IDE says they would love to earn your business and they sure have earned mine. I will be back again for sure! Trust me when I say, if you’re looking for a new or used car, please go see Brad at IDE Honda. I guarantee you won’t be sorry!

    My husband and I went in knowing exactly what we wanted, which Ide Honda had in stock, ready to go. When it came to making the deal, we were told we would get 0.9% financing over 60 months, and that we would get $500 in rebates because my husband graduated less than 2 years ago. The salesman gave us the 0.9% rate, even went in the back to "talk to finance" (to be sure that my husband qualified for the $500 rebate) and told him that he would indeed qualify for the rebate. All of this just to get my husband in with the finance department for them to say, "Oh, by the way, it's not 0.9%, it's 1.9%. And it's not over 60 months, it's over 36. And oh, by the way, you don't qualify for the $500 off." The salesman is a representative of Ide Honda, is he not? What he offers should be honored when you get to the finance department, ready to sign away tens of thousands of dollars and commit to payments for the next several years. The woman in finance became defensive and incredibly rude when we brought up these very valid points. It all seemed very manipulative and pompous. Sort of like, "We don't need your business. If it's not you, it will be some other sucker." Protect yourselves and your finances.... do NOT shop at Ide Honda. (FYI- we walked into Garber Honda, told them exactly what we wanted...car, price, financing, etc. and were in and out in less than an hour!)

    Sales person M.P (female) was outstanding. No pressure, very thorough vehicle knowledge. Will definitely refer her to others. Only negative (very minor) was that upon pick up felt like the finance guy was rushing to get me out of there..

    Never have I had such an easy car buying experience. When I walked in I told them what I was looking for. A 2011 Civic. I had already done my research and looked at other dealers. The price Dick Ide Honda gave me right from the beginning was fair. They were low pressure too. From the person greeting me at the front desk, to the salesman Jon, and Adam in the finance office, everyone was very nice! I have been driving my new Civic from Dick Ide for over a month now, and I love it! I just got invited to their New Owner Clinic which I'm very excited about. Dick Ide Honda is a class act.

    After my first experience of walking into a dealership, I decided to shop for my car on-line, as there are only two dealerships for Hondas in the Syracuse area. Consumers are too busy to spend one or two hours at a dealership only to find the offer is not what they want. I contacted over 25 dealerships within a 150 mile radius of Syracuse to find the best deal. This dealership was quick to respond, however was unwilling to to offer a quote via e-mail. I give them a positive feedback for their time, attention, but not for their willingness to compete over the Internet. My experience with purchasing a vehicle over the Internet was a pleasure. Although I did not purchase my car from this dealership, their prompt replies were great. I would not recommend contacting this dealership if you are seeking quotes on-line.

    I bought a 2003 CR-V from Dick Ide, with 95K miles, less than 2 years ago. I have since spent more than $2500 on repairs (not maintenance, but actual repairs) for a car that cost me $10K. This includes replacing sway bar links 18 months after Dick Ide said they did that. I recently went there to express my dissatisfaction with this car. First, I learned that my salesman was no longer employed there. Then the Sales MANAGER said, "What do you want me to do about it? That was almost 2 years ago." I explained my situation and stated that I believed they had sold me a bad car. He told me it was too late to do anything about it. He went and found the Service Manager, who let me know that I should have EXPECTED to spend more than $100 a month for repairs on a vehicle with so many miles. I stated that I had bought this Honda because of my previous Honda experience - reliable vehicle with infrequent repairs. I told both of them that it was ironic that the salesman hadn't mentioned this costly-repair expectation when I bought the vehicle. (This same salesman also neglected to mention that my car WASN'T a Certified Used Honda until after I'd I signed the deal and paid for the car.) I said I wanted to get rid of the car, and asked for their help. The Sales Manager agreed to look for a new car for me, so I could trade in this CR-V. He introduced me to "one of his best salesman," who would take the lead. A week after this discussion, this Sales Manager indicated that he hadn't found a car for me yet. When I pressed him for details, he revealed that his "search" is limited to cars that come in to Dick Ide as trade-ins. Bottom line - they didn't stand behind the car they sold me (my 3rd CR-V, for the record). If these guys are representatives for the NEW Honda, I'll never buy another. I never thought I'd say that, but there it is.

    Dealer says should of noticed problem in my"90min" test drive which in real time was 10 minutes there word against mine I guess wish I had taken that drive wouldn"t be here now dealing with them

    We are from Akron, Ohio, and the team at Dick Ide made the purchase of our vehicle easy and effortless. They handled all the details of the interstate transfer and when we arrived to pick up the car, all we had to do was sign the paperwork. I dealt with Gerry L over the phone on the purchase, and Ken N on financing, and both were very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. No pressure and no games from Dick Ide! I would definitely buy another car from them. It's worth the trip to Rochester !
