by jobyj on 01/22/2010I bought a nissan murranno from this dealer. We agreed for 32900 for the car and the sales contract shows that amount. But in the finance document they put 4500 extra in the car price and I signed the document without seeing it. Next day I… found it and went to them, I called them somany times but they didn't resolve my problem. Please Please avaoid this place to buy a car.the worst place ever
by lz07 on 09/23/2009If you are looking to buy a car skip this place... they will try to rip you off.... they charge me prep for $800 then when i picked the car ...the car had not been clean .. i had to tell them to clean it and polish it.... they didnt want to… polish the car on a use car beacuse they only do it in new cars... WHAT.... why would they polish only new cars ..... well i kept complaing and well they did it...i never recieved the carfax at all .....the sells person was something else ....telling me that if i dont hurry they are going to sell the car to some one when i gave them a large amount of money on the downpayment they even tryed to get an addition one thousand from me ... i dont think so when that car is not worth that much so any way i got the car for what is was truly worth ....they were so mad that they didnt get much out of me they didnt want to bother with me anymore....unless you know how to pay the game you can try them but if you dont they will rip you off..... also dont give them to much info about you or how much you have or on down payment start little .... just enough to cover the taxes regristration and stuff cuz if you tell them how much you truly have they will charge for things you dont kknow they existed lol.... i would not buy my next car from them at all ..... i will try someone else never agian will i ever go agian..... please try to avoid a place like this .. and they do not like when you ask questions at all ...... and also forget what they say on dont keep there word at all and make you look like stupid...... never agian ..... i learn from this experince .....We would first like to apologize that nobody has responded to this review, until now. If you like dealing with arrogant people this is the perfect place for you
by payler on 10/03/2008The sales people should be avoided. Why is it that everytime I want to get a Nissan I have to deal with such lousy salespeople? I brought one vehicle wanted a lease for a second and also wanted to get the Skyline soon but why would someone… want to pay A++ money when you are dealing with salespeople that should be working for a Kia dealership. I know reviews like this make no difference but hopefully, people will start doing their research and not deal with places that want to lie to you instead of being a true salesman. I would actually like to spend more money if I could somehow trust the person I am speaking with. This place trys to overcharge on finance and lease rates telling you that if you buy aftermarket warranty, lojack, alarm, etch and other stuff you get a lower rate. NO YOU DONT. You already qualified for a lower rate, that is why they claim to be able to be able to give you lower rate if you buy more stuff. Who has ever heard of $600 window etching?? This place is really bad to buy a car from. This place does nothing to "earn" someones business. This place actually prevents you from ever wanting a Nissan. It leaves such a bad taste, that you probably would want to travel MTA to avoid salespeople like this.Thank you so much for your response and we would like to apologize, first and foremost, that no one has reached out to you in regards to this review, until right now. by jaesee75edmund on 09/28/2007I've bought both a Nissan and a Toyota from their dealerships, and both experiences have been terrible. They are constantly in the news for ripping people off. It's a good thing that I went in with some experience in purchasing cars… (bought 4 new cars in the last 8 years). Otherwise, they would have completely ripped me off. Both salesman tried numerous tricks-told lies to my face, "forgot" what they told me last time, attempted to charge outrageous fees for mundane items ($500 prep fee!), attempted to switch cars, etc. To top it off, they attempted to "buy" an Excellent Rating from me. They told me that if I returned Nissan/Toyota's survey to them untouched, but signed, that I'd be able to get a freebie. No doubt they were going to use my name to say some very good things for themselves. No thanks! I ended up getting a decent deal from them after much negotiating and refusing. Be careful dealing with these people. They are professional [violative content deleted]. They will completely rip you off unless you come into the dealership with knowledge and research. I've also bought a Toyota from Penn Toyota of LI. Much better and completely different experience!Most importantly, I would like to apologize for your most recent visit at Star Nissan and that no one has reached out to you in regards to this review, until now. Salesman, Kenneth L. had the ability to answer all my questions & outline all rebates that I was entitled to. i'm truly happy with the vehicle I purchased, 2013 Nissan Pathfinder .We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your positive experience at Star Nissan. Got the Car I Wanted at the Price I Expected

The sales people were friendly and answered all of my questions. The finance people did try to up-sell me, but they quickly backed… off when I declined the up-sell on the extended warrantee. Overall, buying from Star Nissan was a good experience. I would go back, but hopefully I won't need to for a while.Thank you so much for your feedback. by nissmazlover on 06/17/2011updated 08/05/2025Kudos to Star Nissan and Fernando! I was weary of the place because of bad reviews I have read about them here and in other sources. But, I had visited them before and liked the way they did business - the no pressure, direct and to the… point with no time wasted, yet nice enough and professional atmosphere. So, I decided to give them a try throughout our car leasing process and we were met with the same treatment, which was good. We were approached by Fernando and right away we liked him and we hit it off with him. He was professional, very knowledgable on the vehicle and the leasing process, very friendly and down to earth and, above all, was honest and did his best to give us the fairest deal possible. We had visited many dealerships (Bayside VW being our favorite dealership, overall), but Fernando was, by far, our favorite salesman. Star Nissan gave us the best offer on our trade-in, with no hassle or questions asked. With the help of Fernando and his great explanation of the leasing process, and no-hassle, stress-free, to the point negotiation process, we ended up paying $90 less a month than the going lease rate for a fully-equipped 2011 Nissan Rogue SV AWD w/SL Package and other accessories. The finance manager/boss of the place was, likewise, very nice, straight-forward, to the point, and very helpful and flexible. We liked him, too. We had met Lenny before on other occassions, and we thought he was great, as well! I don't know why anyone would give this dealer a bad rating. I guess you have to be knowledgable. And I guess if you're not, like any dealer, they're going to do their best to get the most money out of you, since it IS a business and since it IS what they do. One can't be naive on the whole process and one must educate oneself accordingly. Knowledge is power. If you go in there, and know what you want, and have information on what other dealers have offered, then Star Nissan won't play with you and they'll give you a fair deal. What we liked best about Star is that they respected our time. They didn't keep us waiting, or have us there negotiating forever. We did everything in a couple of hours one night, and then a couple of hours another night when we picked up the car and that's it. It was simple and I love their direct approach. We would recommend this dealer to anyone - with the caveat of suggesting that they educate themselves as best as possible on the car they want and on other offered deals - and we would DEFINITELY recommend Fernando! (Forgot his last name, but he's the only Fernando at Star Nissan.) He's awesome!Thank you so much for sharing such nice compliments about our sales team. It is great to hear that Fernando was to the point and made your car buying process stress-free and easy. We will be sure to pass your praises on to him. Buyers be warned...Avoid this place!!!

Their prime interest is making money so don't expect to walk of this place with any deals. They will rob you blind. I got duped into making a deal bcz they tricked… me into thinking was getting an extra feature which they stated didnt come with the car until after I paid then realized it already did. They will start off by making one deal then change it after...this place is not true to their words. To make matters worse, I bought a new vehicle which had a defect yet the business manager assured me that it was nothing. I found out the truth soon after it was driven out of the lot. When I try to contact them, they were not happy campers and tried to avoid me like a plague. They are the happiest when taking all your money but will not try to help you if there is any problems... which in this case they sold me a lemon.We would first like to take the time to apologize that no one has responded to this review, until now. It is important to hear both the good and bad experiences at our dealership so that we may improve. pretty bad

All Good Until the Very End. Then ...
by voe21 on 07/25/2012updated 08/05/2025Got 2.5 S as a back up to another car. Beach time with great trunk space and very roomy on the inside. All went smooth with good leasing price. Got higher costs at closing to put down than was told. Something about dealer fees and paperwork… and transfer tax. Well had to leave a few hundred dollars behind. Still, the car is good, the dealership is OK, a few hundred bucks out of pocket did not hurt TOO MUCH.Thank you for your feedback. Dealt with Mr. Lucas C. and the manager, Gus.
