  • DO NOT purchase from this dealership.

    1 out of 5 starsby andrewm5 on 08/12/2016

DO NOT purchase from this dealership.... Purchased a vehicle on July 19th, 2016. Walked into dealership with an approval from my bank and had to wait THREE HOURS to get into the financing office. Left messages for the General Manager Doug to call me back. After 5 business days he returned my call and had a 30 second conversation with me to tell me that "things happen" and "I could answer the Honda survey however I wanted". Stay away from this dealership. You'll save yourself a lot of time and frustration.
    • Andrew, we're sorry to hear about the wait and we apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Our customers are our top priority and its discouraging to hear about your recent disappointment with our staff. Please visit us at your convenience so we can further discuss the issue and move forward in a positive direction. Sincerely, The Honda Subaru of Santa Fe Team

  • Feel the Unprofessionalism!

Abused, attacked and disrespected! My experience with this dealership was a nightmare. I made a $500 deposit on the used vehicle I wanted to purchase, and the sales manager lost my debit card information! I made the 3-hour drive to Santa Fe to purchase the vehicle, and after I had signed everything and made my check out for the remaining amount, I was told that they never ran my debit card and that I had to come up with $500 more. The sales manager who lost my debit card information was abusive, disrespectful, and attacked my character and personality. He said I had a bad attitude and that everyone at the dealership had remarked that I had a bad attitude, as it seems that the sales staff like to talk about customers behind their backs. [non-permissible content removed] They made a mistake, I did nothing wrong, and I have been attacked, abused and maligned. Now they are threatening to take the car back, rather than take responsibility for their mistake. I have had to cancel my debit card because I don't know what happened to my information which the sales manager lost. Take my advice-- find a different dealer!

  • I was flat out lied to.

I told Kyle, the sales manager, that I was willing and prepared to co-sign a loan for my daughter, but that I would not co-sign if I had to be on the title or registration. I was not willing to be legally responsible in any way for the car itself in terms of liability or insurance. He said he understood completely and that it would be no problem, then started pushing a stack of papers across his desk for me to sign. Those papers put me squarely on the title and registration. In conversation with the owner, I discovered that what I had been promised is not even possible, and that no recourse was open to me. I guess I was stupid to believe what Kyle looked me in the eye and said was true.

  • Premier Subaru

We have bought three Subarus from Premier, which I guess means we like them. Mind you, I'm probably not the toughest negotiator, but I am a stickler for getting the car I want.

  • Epitome of the used car salesman - would give zero stars if possible

I have no trust in the sales staff at Premier Auto Sales in Santa Fe. We shopped at this dealership despite warnings from friends about the lack of professionalism. We worked with Victor and found ourselves sold on a car that had slightly more features than we had intended to purchase (and that cost more than we had intended to spend). After verbally agreeing to a price and a trade-in value, we decided to wait for a day before making the purchase. When we did return to make the purchase, I found it strange the the salesman was in a hurry to get a loan approved and insurance transferred before he actually presented the purchase agreement in writing. When we finally asked for this, we noticed that the trade-in value had been reduced by $2000 compared to our verbal agreement. The trade-in value had been quoted to myself, my wife, and the salesman by the used sales manager (who performed the appraisal). My wife and I both independently heard the estimate clearly; so it seemed a little strange that the salesman would not have heard the estimate clearly as well. However, he did not offer any support. He simply stated that we would have to clear this up with the used sales manager. The sales manager was in a separate building, and a simple phone call would have sufficed. However, the salesman insisted that we drive (in the new car) over to the used lot to speak in person. When we met with the manager, we were simply informed un-apologetically that we must have misheard the estimate (which is highly unlikely). It is completely possible that the manager mispoke, which to me is forgivable. However, the salesman should have caught this error earlier as it was clear that this was a major decision point for us. Realizing the error later, he attempted to get as deep into the deal as possible before we realized the mistake. Further, he also managed to work in an additional impromptu test drive from the main sales lot to the used lot. While he claimed to not be a high pressure salesman, he seemed to be employing a lot of underhanded tactics to get us to pay more for this deal than we had agreed to. Upon realizing this, my wife and I completely lost trust in the sales staff, and I was personally very upset at the half day of wasted time.
