Interesting experience
by See you hate to be you on 11/23/2024Leasing a car through this dealership was a humiliating experience. I have an 839 credit rating, and was verbally assaulted by the business manager, who had me sign into a credit bureau Immediately so he could review the report. To… compensate for the mistake of terrorizing me, he offered vehicle protection plans and insurances that I don't need, but was then charged for; $4000 ! This place gives the already dubious reputation of car salesmen a whole new dimension. All I can say - you are pathetic and I'm glad I don't have to rely on that behavior to make a living. MAZDA cars are great - VET your representatives.Wonderful Experience

by LSperry on 07/20/2021I would highly recommend Ramsey Mazda! We had a wonderful experience with Brandon who spent 4 hours with us test driving a Mazda CX-3, walking us through all the features of the car, and was very patient with us as we decided - he even… offered to share his lunch with us! Donovan helped us with the finances. I have never had a pleasant experience buying a car before, but this was!! Thank you Brandon and Donovan!Great experience
by df1212 on 07/23/2019I have been shopping for the Mazda CX5 2019 in 3 states, NY, CT, NJ all dealerships. Walked in prepared, met with Willy Elkammary at Ramsey Mazda in NJ, within 15 minutes the deal was done. Willy gave me a fantastic price, no games, just… straight talk. I highly recommend....and ask for Willy! To add, a shout out to Donovan Lou in finance, again, honest and professional.Ramsey Mazda CX 9
by Dozermark123 on 09/09/2017The people at Ramsey Mazda were helpful and informative. More importantly, they were not pushy or overly aggressive as many car dealers and salesman can be. Originally I only wanted a test drive and was not ready to buy. They complied… with my wishes and provided a test drive. Later I went back to purchase a cx9 after my research and competitors test drives.Great service

by TylerReeve on 05/01/2017I usually don't trust car salesman and the experience of buying cars isn't one I look forward to. Willy changed that for me. He fought for the price I wanted and made the experience hassle free. If you're looking for a new car, please… consider asking for Willy at Ramsey Mazda.New 2017 CX5
by SergioTips on 04/24/2017This is my first 'Mazda Experience' and so far so good! Car looks great, but more importantly the sale representative was very good: helpful, available, collaborative. If you happen to go to Mazda Ramsey, ask for Willy!Love my Mazda CX-5
by francop on 11/29/2016First time II buy a car from this dealer and be honest was very easy and fast give me the price I want pay the price I ask for my trade, Thank you to Rocky Dunn and Donovan Lau for make this purchase fast and easy.Arrogant People Stay away from them
by samreddy on 12/05/2015They are total [non-permissible content removed] they use classic bait and switch method. Once you go there they say the car is gone and try to sell you another one.Great sales team; unresponsive service department
by ka123 on 06/24/2015We had an excellent experience with the sales team at Ramsey Mazda. Willy, our salesman, did a great job working with us. In addition, Donovan, the finance guy, was easy to work with. Unfortunately, we discovered a mechanical issue with the… car shortly after we picked it up. The service department simply did not respond to us on this - did not have time to speak with us - and we are now working with another Mazda dealership to resolve the problem. Still not resolved. Several emails to Ramsey Mazda reps seeking call backs to discuss this matter were not returned. I am baffled. I can not recommend them.MIKE D AT RAMSEY MAZDA IS THE WAY TO GO!!!
by alx0818 on 09/10/2014I recently just hit the 6 month mark on my new 2014 Mazda3 i-grand touring and I for one couldn't be any happier. While the car is amazing and I recommend anyone looking to buy an extremely affordable car that is fully equipped with… everything but a microwave on the inside, what really sold me on it was my car salesman Mike D. Although its been six months since my date of purchase, what triggered my memory to post this was Mike's attentiveness to call me a week ago just to wish me a happy birthday! Who does that?! I thought it was such a nice gesture that i thought I'd write my first ever online review. If you're looking to buy a car then go to Ramsey Mazda and ask for Mike D! Less then 12 hours before I went to Mike, I had the worst experience ever at Wayne Mazda. The salesmen there were fine, but it was the finance guys and managers that were rude, condescending and made closing a deal anything but possible. After spending almost 6 hours there, testing the vehicle i wanted, and quibbling over a couple hundred dollars, my father and I left the store outraged and decided to head to Ramsey Mazda the very next morning. Mike had come highly recommended by a friend of ours. We walked inside, asked to speak with Mike and told him the horrific experience we had just had at Wayne Mazda. We put the same numbers that were shot down at Wayne Mazda on the table in front of Mike, Mike looked at them, and after being at the dealership for no longer than 5 minutes he told us, "you ready to take the car off the loft today?" We couldn't believe it! I've never experienced such an easy going, laid-back, yet extremely knowledgeable salesman like Mike D. We were in the dealership for an hour tops before I was driving away in my brand new car. Mike is wise beyond his years, and knew full well the ins and outs to all the high-tech gadgets that came equipped in the car. Being a first time buyer, Mike knew exactly what this kind of purchase meant to me and made it fun and enjoyable the entire time I was there. Even before my birthday, Mike would call me every now and then just to check-in and see how both me and the car was doing. If you want to buy a car, there's only one person I would recommend and that's Mike D of Ramsey Mazda!!!!Great Experience
by PeeDepollo on 07/29/2014Willy was very helpful and the rest of the staff was excellent. I highly recommend Ramsey for anyone interested in buying a Mazda vehicle. We got a great deal.Visiting Ramsey Mazda was hands down the worst experience I have ever had
by idos on 07/22/2009Please take the time to read this review as I will try to accurately account what happened today (7/22/09) at Ramsey Mazda in an attempt to make sure they never sell another car. I called up Ramsey Mazda today to ask if I could come in for… a hassle free test drive of a Mazdaspeed 3. By hassle free I mean, I didnt want to wait for 2 hours in a dealership showroom idly knowing the games dealerships play. I was upfront and honest on the phone with the salesman (Bob) about being in the market for a car but was still researching cars and just wanted to test drive the car. Bob kindly responded saying that it shouldnt be a problem and to come down at my earliest convenience. I stopped by at 2:20 PM (told Bob that i'd come b/w 2PM and 3PM). I walked in, found Bob and introduced myself. He was all ready to get the keys to have me on my way for a test drive when the manager (still working on getting his name) told me that if I wanted to test drive the car, I'd have to work out a deal first to buy the car. My first reaction was "Excuse me?" Thinking to myself...did this guy really tell me that I have to sign for a ~$20K car AND THEN I'd get to test drive it. Suffice it say, I kindly reminded him that I was in the research phase of car buying and looking at a bunch of different cars and that no one hands over $20K to anyone without first knowing what you are going to get. He then informed me that if I was not ready to buy today that I wouldnt be able to test drive the car. With Bob the salesman there, I explained that I called ahead of time to schedule a test drive, was up front about what my intentions were and drove the 15 miles to get there just for that purpose. He finally agreed to let me test drive the car but not before sitting me down with another salesman to get some basic information. Relieved a bit, I started to chit chat with the new salesman as he was gathering some basic info and making a copy of my license. Just when I thought I was ready to go, the manager interrupted several times and asked me some questions from 10 feet away. Manager: "Will you be financing this car?" Me: "Probably finance, but I am really not ready to talk about that until I test drive the car and do some more homework" Manager: "So, what is your budget?" Me: "Around $20k, but again, not really interested in talking price until I know that I even want this car" Manager: "Well, just so you know, its $22K, is that ok with you?" Me: "Again, I am really looking to drive this car before I talk about the price, I think that is reasonable" Just when I thought he would stop harassing me with these questions as I was with the new salesman, he butts in again. Manager: "So, what is your time frame in buying a car?" Me: "Relatively soon, probably within a week or two" Manager: "In that case, you can't test drive the car because it will be gone tomorrow" Me: "Well, that isnt my problem, i am here now and just want to test drive the car as promised" Manager: "Well, it actually IS your problem because you arent gonna test drive this car and you can leave now" I think my jaw actually dropped at the rudeness of this comment. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. For absolutely no good reason (I SWEAR i am not exaggerating or making any of this up), this manager asked me to leave and was not going to let me test drive this car. Before you start thinking, well maybe this kid writing this review is a 17yo punk who wants to beat up on cars for fun, rest assure that I am 26yo, extremely responsible, clean cut, college educated, fiscally conservative, well mannered guy who can easily afford a $20K car WITHOUT the financing. In the next 7 or 8 minutes a shouting match ensued with excessive profanity that I will leave out. I told him I have never been treated worse by a store owner or business owner in my entire life and I would make it my mission to let it be known that this guy was a [violative content deleted]! It is my prayer and hope that this guyUsed vehicle pricing not really as advertised
by sheesh721 on 05/25/2009I found a used vehicle advertised online. The price was good so I went in to check it out. Drove almost two hours to the dealership only to find they charge a $900 "prep" fee on all used cars. That's a pretty big chunk of change when… you're looking at $10-13k vehicles. This is not the Doc fees or anything of the sort. It's basically a hidden charge that hit you with when you sit down to write up the purchase order. I've been shopping around for a while now and this is the first dealership I've seen do this. That just seems like a pretty shady policy to me. I was telling a buddy of mine who is from out of state about this $900 so called "prep" fee to be told that if any car dealership tried that crap out by him they'd have such a bad reputation they'd be forced to close down.Manager Meltdown
by taki12 on 01/25/2008This is the short version of my families experience at Ramsey Mazda in New Jersey. Went to buy a CX-9 Grand touring. Printed out info from Mazda's website and found Blind Spot Monitor is now standard on Grand Touring. It was an option… on the car I was buying. Told my salesman, he asked sales manager who asked another sales manager who said yes but not on this car. I showed my printout and asked them to call Mazda to find out. The sales manager said Mazda's office in CA is closed for the holidays (it was December). That was a lie. I called the next day and they were open. I asked them to call anyway to see if Mazda might be opened. Thats when one of the sales managers had a meltdown. He started screaming in the middle of the showroom that the deal was off, and how dare I question his integrity and on and on he went. My wife, son, and I were shocked. My wife and son wanted to leave immediately. My wife felt humiliated. My salesman was in shock as well, but didn't want us to leave. He went to speak to the sales manager and came back and asked us to stay and buy the car. My wife and son wanted an apology. So I went up to the sales manager and asked for an apology. He gave me a half hearted apology but never came over to my wife to apologize. He said he'd sell us the car if I gave the salesman a good writeup on the questionnaire Mazda will send to me. I said I have no problem with my salesman. He's been great. My wife and son really didn't want to buy the car from this dealer. But the salesman gave us three test drives on three different days and I didn't want to punish him, so we bought the car. My wife thought that after a day or two the sales manager would call to apologize or send her flowers. But that never happened. However there is a happy ending! Ramsey Auto Group owns different dealerships. One of which is Jeep. As luck would have it my wife was also buying a new car. A top of the line fully loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee. Yep, you guessed it, she bought it from Ramsey's competitor.Happy Customers
by ksperl131 on 11/11/2013updated 08/06/2025Purchasing or leasing a new car can often be a grueling experience, but not so at Ramsey Mazda! My husband and I stopped into the dealership to take a look, and drove out with a brand new Mazda. Our sales associate Joseph G. was… knowledgeable, friendly, low-key and thorough, and helped get us a great offer. We felt that the Mazda team was really working with us to get the best deal, and make us happy. I've had the car for only 3 days, but I can already say, it's sensational!Willy is awesome!
by njcarguy4 on 05/05/2014updated 08/06/2025I had a fantastic car buying experience from Willy the sales consultant and highly recommend him to others!Best car buying experience ever
by brettopolis on 09/15/2012updated 08/06/2025I recently bought a new 2012 Mazda 3 from Ramsey Mazda and was very satisfied with the service. Bill, the salemsan, contacted me through e-mak and over the phone. When we spoke, he scheduled a test drive and, when I came in last Friday,… everything went smoothly. Bill helped me select the model I was most interested in (Touring i Skyactive). At no time was I ever pressured into purchasing a more expensive vehicle. John (I think that's his name) the manager was a really great guy and I found him to be very friendly and helpful. Although I have poor credit, I was ecstatic with the rate I got and I doubt I can get a better price for the car anywhere else. I probably could have drove off in a new car that very same day but waited until Monday. When I arrived on Monday, it was just a matter of signing a few documents and making the down payment. The car was delivered to me with a full tank of gas and in meticulous condition. If I had to make a criticism it would be that the dealership could have offered me a ride over to the dealership (although the manager did give me an unexpected and much appreciated ride to the Ramsey Main Street train station on Friday after the test drive). Another minor criticism is that, although the dealership sends out contacts by e-mail, I am not convinced that a buyer can effectively communicate to this dealership in that manner. Other than those two minor details, I was very satisfied with the service and I would recommend buying a new car from this dealership.
About our dealership
I just got back from Ramsey Mazda and could not have had a more different experience. On a busy Saturday, I was asked if I was being helped, said no and told the salesman that I wanted to see what price I could get a Mazda3 for. He said, "have you ever driven a Mazda?" I said no and he said "let's go for a ride." In 5 minutes we were driving around. Everyone was very pleasant.
