Horrible Experience
by loosescrews on 05/22/2009I closed the deal on a 2009 Malibu sitting on the showroom floor with 50 miles on the clock. My wife drove the car home and on arrival asks "what is this little light." It was the engine malfunction light. Groan... Back to the dealer… we go, the service department investigates, and finds that the fuel pump controller needs to be replaced. My wife picked up the car, saw that the light was out, and went on her way. The next day, however, the engine malfunction light comes on again. Back to the dealer, this time for a new engine computer. Why did the computer fail? They don't know, but the light is out.... A week later we are returning from dinner and I reach to open the sunroof. It's dead, along with the electronic compass, and the power windows. This time the service department finds that a fuze has blown, taking out all the systems on that circuit. What caused the fuse to blow? They don't know... The service manager assures me that these are all fluke incidents, and I agree -- this probably rarely happens on most new cars. What they refuse to acknowledge, however, is that there might be an underlying root cause that hasn't been discovered yet. Three unlikely events -- all electrical and all in the first 10 days -- the odds are astronomical. Something is wrong with this car and Gregg Young Chevrolet can't/won't do anything other than throw replacement parts at it and hope. The dealer isn't alone in their obstinance -- General Motors apparently doesn't think these problems warrant further investigation either. At this point I am very dissatisfied with both Gregg Young Chevrolet and General Motors. Never again...Excellent Buying Experience

The sales and finance were friendly, everything was on paper and easy to understand and throughly explained, and follow up has been good. The dealership… is fairly new, clean, and inviting. When we came in to take delivery, they even bought us lunch at the cafe they have there and it was quite good. I feel we got a great deal and would not hesitate to buy at Gregg Young again. I have a crazy busy schedule and couldn't get to the dealership very much or for very long, but I knew what I wanted and Zach did a great job in providing the answers I needed to make an informed decision… in my purchase of a 2013 ZL1 Camaro. A car with the exact trim that I wanted wasn't on the lot, but Zach quickly located one and arranged the sale. I also had a great experience with Josh Brown in finance, who went above and beyond in making the buying experience a great one. Gregg Young Chevrolet is my family's dealership of choice and one I have referred friends to as well. The service department is incredible and everyone there really goes the extra mile for the customer.Ask for Joel M.
by happygychevy on 06/09/2012updated 06/10/2025This was a typical car buying experience. Lots of questions, lengthy process with financing, and the usual up-sell pressure. That said, these guys know their business and do a great job of delivery and making sure you are comfortable with… your vehicle. Joel M. was pleasant and comprehensive in his approach. I told him what I needed to accomplish when bringing my wife in to test drive a new Cruze. He helped her make smart choices and explained all the options the car had enabling her to make educated decisions. Ask for Joel, but expect to send some time at the dealership in order to finalize your transaction!Very Unhappy
by Mpro on 03/22/2014updated 06/10/2025Was lied to initially about the interest rate I qualified for by their finance department. Was bullied by their sales manager Andy after we brought back the new car that had a door that was malfunctioning and scratches on the steering wheel… and glove box. Then I was dumb enough to get sold a second vehicle from them. They filled out the tax form wrong and called me days after I had already left with the signed paperwork, including the tax form, and told me that they made a "mistake" or I believe "human error" was the term they used and that I would be responsible to pay the extra $1500. Then they had the audacity to mail me a new tax form with a handwritten letter telling me I needed to sign the new tax form and take that one to the DMV. I found this to be unacceptable, especially since I was already in question of their integrity. I talked to Gary the GM and said I did not want to take financial responsibility for their negligence and he refuses to accept responsibility for the mistake and tells me that Gregg Young's number is not available. This whole thing has been a nightmare and all I want is for them to take responsibility for their mistake and to speak with Gregg Young so he can hear exactly how his employees have treated me.Happily Ever After
by mina_davis on 01/18/2013updated 06/10/2025In the end, things did turn out very well. The General Sales Manager Gary B. worked very hard to understand my situation. Not only that, he corrected the situation. I worked with Jonathan G. very briefly on demonstrating the car and taking… it for a test drive. He was very friendly and very understanding of my needs. I think there were a few missteps the first time, but it goes to show when a business goes out of their way to work with you on what went wrong, they have a lot of integrity. The new vehicle I am getting is even better and bigger than the first one I was in. I will always return to Jonathan and certainly do thank Gary for going the extra mile. What's even more awesome is that I have a better rate than last time. For some reason, I can't delete the original review but I guess here's this one to show in the end things do work out. by brianerick on 12/20/2011updated 06/10/2025If you want a nice salesman that is helpful and listens go see Daniel K. It was the best car buying experience I have been a part of. He answered all of my questions honestly and made it easy to get a fantastic car. Although I didn't talk… to Daniel's boss Paul to much he was an intrical part of getting a very good deal put together so it ended up being a win win situation. Brandon in finance was very nice and got the paperwork put together and singed quickly so I could start enjoying my new 2012 Chevy Cruze instead of sitting in a finance room getting nickle and dimed to death with hidden fees. There was none of that, but still remember when you negotiate to leave yourself some room because the estimated payment is exactly that an estimate. When the financing gets things down on paper it can change by a couple dollars so just be reasonable and get the price down below what you are willing to pay. They will work with you in an honest way and make it an awsome experience.Great experience.

This was the very first time I have purchased a vehicle and Robin made the process easy and efficient every step of the way. She was… very willing to work with me on finding the exact model that I was looking for (the model that was currently on site the day I visited was actually being traded to another dealership and Robin had to search around the region for a similar one). She was very thorough in describing the offers and warranties that Gregg Young provides. I also had the privilege to work with Austin J. from the Finances Group and Travis C. on getting the right prices and terms for my vehicle. All three of them left no gray zones in the entire process, which added to the great experience I had in purchasing my vehicle from Gregg Young.
