by hereistand on 02/16/2009Over the past 25 years, I've bought 4 cars from Beardmore. They haven't changed and I don't expect they ever will. Purchasing there is an ACTUAL PLEASURE. After 20 years in the military, I've been to plenty of car dealers all around the… country. Beardmore Chevrolet is the BEST!! From the friendly greeting at the door to the smile and wave as you drive away (in my case, in my newest car on Valentine's Day), the entire process is a pleasant experience. Our "most recent" sales person, Stacey, was there to answer any question we had about the car and ultimately to help us with the paperwork and that she did with a smile. No pressure to buy - only a deal we couldn't refuse!! Would we do it again?? You bet -- but not for a while. We usually keep our cars for at least 10 years!!!Great Experience!
by Jookrat on 02/01/2009This is the place to go for new or used vehicles. The entire staff worked hard at making this a truly enjoyable experience. I realize you can't please everybody, but anyone saying otherwise, was either in a bad mood to begin with, or… expected an unreasonable deal. The people here care about their customers and love what they do. It's obvious. I hate shopping for vehicles because of the pressure of the sale, you feel your getting. The staff makes you feel like family, and they really try their best to make a deal you both can live with, happily. Even if you don't take my word for it, try them. You can always walk out or say no. But I bet you won't.Terrible
by 026 on 11/10/2008Please do not waste your time with this dealership. The dealer used or attempted to use the good ole car salesman tactics. The manager under bid my vehicle by over $4,000 and told me that this was what it was worth; they didn't even… attempt to give me the lowest Kelly Blue Book value and the car was in excellent condition with very low mileage. This was after I was already given an estimate by the VW car dealer, who I feel would have quite a bit more knowledge of a car's value. They told me they would have to sell the car to an auction because they wouldn't be able to sell it on their lot due to them not having a need for VW. Surprisingly, I was told a customer had brought in an R32 not too long ago and traded it for a Subaru and they didn't auction that particular VW; also noticed they had a Jetta on their lot, so why couldn't they sell mine?! The manager also wanted me to justify why I should not have to pay the sticker price! First of all, GM sales plunged 45% in October; the company's stock fell 9% after announcing a third-quarter loss of $2.5 billion and warned that it may run out of cash in 2009; gas prices and the economy are unstable; the vehicle only gets at best 16-20 mpg; and if you are not going to give me the KBB value of my car, then why should I give you the KBB value of this vehicle, plus some to make a profit. Also, the vehicle's heated seat was not working; they told me it was still under warranty, but didn't want to set an appointment for me or even acknowledge that it was an issue. Usually, if you are buying a vehicle and something, under warranty, needs to be repaired the dealership will at least say we owe you a working heated seat, not just ignore it and attempt to press on with a deal. I also felt that the salesman had very little knowledge of what he was selling, which made me terribly uncomfortable; if you are selling a product you should have complete knowledge and understanding of that product. In my opinion, I would rather spend more on a vehicle to receive better customer service and deal with an ethical business and it's salesman than ever buy from this dealership. If you like to be insulted, hassled, treated as if you are uneducated, and haven't done your research, then feel free to shop at Beardmore, they would enjoy taking advantage of you. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. In the end, I decided to buy a VW Touareg; my 4th VW!Excellent Experience!!
by todd30 on 10/08/2008I'm very skeptical of car dealers but felt right at home with Todd Beardmore and his staff. They were very genuine and non aggressive. I felt that my business was important to them and they showed me respect and appreciation. They heard… me out, and we made a deal. I absolute love my Malabu Maxx! It's the best car I've ever owned and is full of bells and whistles. We'll be back.Lisa67
by lisa67 on 10/10/2008I wanted to purchase a minivan and found one at Beardmore. I called about it and requested to look at it. When I arrived at the dealership they had the van waiting at the door. They went over the van completely and all the options, we… went for a test drive and then we easily agreed on a price. The paper work went off to finance and I was on my way to a new vehicle. Everyone was pleasant and very accommodating. It was Halloween when we went there and everyone was very festive. It was a pleasure. I had a wonderful experience buying a vehicle there and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle. I went down there, was treat with kindness and respect, bought the car I wanted and did it all during my lunch hour. Oh, ya, did I mention that they were very quick. No long waiting like I had done in the past just looking at a car and trying to make a deal from other dealerships. They had me in and out in less time than it took at most places to even get to the part where you can test drive the car. Great service and great people to work with. Glad I went there.Hassle free experience!
by jasons56 on 10/07/2008I recently purchased a Subaru from Beardmore. I was amazed at how hassle free they made the experience. The sales staff was very knowledgeable. The big surprise came when it was time to negotiate. The sales manager was very… straightforward and wasted little time coming up with an arrangement that pleased me. As a busy professional, this was greatly appreciated. I've worked with other dealerships that waste HOURS putting you through the ringer. This is NOT one of those! They gave me the low pressure experience of a Saturn dealership, however they were willing to negotiate as well. Best of both worlds. I am very pleased with the Forester I bought and lots of that is due to the painless purchase at Beardmore's.Buy Locally, its worth it
by eric53 on 09/04/2008Last year GM was touting 0% interest and being a supplier (recieving a discount) made it all the more enticing. After seeing the HHR and reading some of the reviews, I drove one. Now 19 months in ownership of a 2007 HHR, I am still… thrilled. The vehicle attained 33.8 mpg on its last trip to Waco, and regularly gets 29-30 mpg around town. It is comfortable, quiet and has a good ride, even given the fact it is designed off the Cobalt platform. The car sold itself, and continues to, but more importantly, after going across town to the dealership "out west", we beat their deal by $4,000 primarily due to trade. Beardmore gave me what the car was worth, not what the "market" indicated across town. That being said, I will go back to shop fro my next car at Beardmore. I haven't owned a Chevy since 1969, wonder what I've been missing?Good People to deal with
by carlosmeade on 07/29/2008We had a great purchase experience at Beardmore's. We were welcomed promptly and feel like we were treated well. We were able to negotiate a fair deal and the process went fairly smooth. We were hoping to get a little more for our trade,… but I'm sure everyone feels that way. Overall we feel like they gave us a fair deal. And that's all we wanted - to be treated fairly. Thanks Beardmore's. PS: We've heard a lot of good things about your service departments, so we'll be coming back to check it out.
