He also takes the time to explain when I need to bring my truck back and when I should call him for… new tires. When my husband emailed Boomer to let him know I was interested in trading my Kia Sorento for a Buick Regal, Boomer told us to come on in, and he would make it happen (and he did)! He was able to get me the… exact car I wanted, and he was able to get my payment down so I wasn't paying any more than I did for the Kia. Carmen is a delight to work with, too. I mean, how many people hug their finance manager after purchasing a new vehicle?? :) I have already (even prior to this purchase) referred several people to Boomer and McCarthy Auto World!Thank you for this wonderful review and congratulations on your new Buick Regal, Jen! Horrible service dept management - they don't care about your business
by bigman55434 on 08/18/2010I bought a new 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD from this dealer a couple years ago. In fact, it was my 5th new vehicle in 5 years purchased from this same dealer. My experience this time was HORRIBLE. I have had this truck in for warranty work twice… (both power door locks failed, one at a time), and 2 recalls. They returned my vehicle to me completely full of water spots. They ran it through the wash, and never dried it. Not a huge deal, but irritating, since they do it every time I bring my black truck in for service. This time, I called the service guy about it, and then emailed some pictures of the truck to him. They were very apologetic. Fine. No harm no foul. I got the customer satisfaction survey in the mail, as always, asking me to rate my last visit. Here is where the fun begins. This dealer always BEGS me to rate them a maximum score on everything, as that is how GM grades them. I usually oblige, but not in this case. When it came to the question of "were you satisfied with the condition of the vehicle on pickup", I said no I was not, and went on to explain. Well, now my truck needs warranty work done again, for a "service trailer brake system" warning message on the dash. This is at 23k miles, so I am a bit irritated. I call to make an appt, and the lady pulls up my account. She immediately transfers me to the service manager, Eric. After a brief discussion about this problem, he tells me "based on the impact of your last survey on our CSI (customer satisfaction index), we do not feel we are meeting your needs, and recommend you get your vehicle serviced elsewhere". THE DEALER WILL NOT SERVICE MY VEHICLE!!!! Just because I was honest on one survey, they dump me! How is this even possible? What is the point of the survey, if I am going to lie and give them 100% when they don't deserve it? This dealer only seems to want happy campers, and will dump you when you ding them in the slightest way. Absolutely horrible. I contacted GM customer care and reported them. This dealer is a joke, and should be avoided at all cost. So much for loyalty. 5 vehicle in 5 years, and they tell ME off.Buyer Beware
by ben_b on 10/02/2009I bought a 2001 Suburban from John Gosewich at McCarthy Autoworld. We have had major problems from the second we got in to drive away. McCarthy Autoworld could care less. My wife and six children were with when we drove off just before… the dealership closed. The Battery warning light came on and we made it about 30 miles when the engine stopped. Of course, there were thunderstorms closing in (we later found out Tornadoes as well) and we were stuck. The Alternator was bad and after getting a couple of jump starts we were able to make it to a parts store and replace it. Which I did myself with some borrowed tools from OReilly parts store. I called our saleman John G. right away and he said they would cover the cost. A few more phone calls (and days/weeks) he offered to pay half of the $200.00 it cost for the alternator. I wasn't very happy with that and he told me to send the reciept and he would take care of it. Needless to say nothing happened. Funny thing is, John always started the Suburban when we looked at it and there was also a brand new battery in it. The battery carrier was even left in the rear storage area. Its been two months now and no money. We have also had the ignition cylinder and switch replaced because the security light was flashing and sometimes the car wouldn't start, $550.00. The dealer mechanic also says the intake manifold is leaking which would cost another $850.00, The fog lights didn't work, some of the turn signals had bad bulbs, the center console latch wouldn't latch, and the rear seat latch was broken. This dealership doesn't care what they sell you and you can't believe what they say. Sad for a major dealor to act like this. My advice, take your business to a dealer that values your business, even after you have signed the paperwork. Never again. Hopefully GM will cut this dealership soon. Ben B.McCarthy via Costco

Once we settled specific criteria, she illustrated that item as well as similar matches. She located… vehicle with exact specs many miles away in Duluth but was never an issue, she simply indicated she could get it on site when we wanted it. She was forthright on all specs and pricing of exact and similar vehicles, allowing us to make an informed purchase decision.Work done well and on time
