Beat my expectations and got me the best deal within 2 hours!
by Johnathon Roman on 01/01/2025I originally disregarded this dealership due to being quite far away from me. But their perseverance to help me get the vehicle I wanted really paid off. Sometimes the universe aligns in such a way that it may surprise you. I had been… working with over 20 dealerships across Michigan and some were taking 3 weeks to provide me information. At the very least, dealers were taking days to a week to provide me with trade-in value and any type of discount on vehicles. Some dealers were even sending me offers that were twice as expensive as what their calculator was showing, which was a big letdown. I talked to Cory over the phone, and I explained to him my situation; what I was expecting for my trade-in, and what I was wanting to pay monthly for my new lease. With negative equity, it was rough, but Cory was able to provide me a competitive trade-in offer beating all other dealerships, without needing me to parade the vehicle 200 miles each way. Within 2 hours, we had figured out payments, out the door pricing, and everything else. The next morning, I drove to the dealership with my trade-in, and the process was one of the smoothest I've ever had with a dealership. Cory arrived early (I did, as well), and we started the process right away. He communicated with me beforehand to ensure I was still coming in. He was very courteous and presented to me everyone that would be involved with the transaction (finance, and tech). Since I was not aware of the area, I asked him to guide me through a drive so I could first-hand test-drive the vehicle. Cory ensured the vehicle was 100% charged for the long drive back home, got it detailed and prepped, and there were zero issues with the transactions. Financing was straight-forward and I did not have to wait 3+ hours to talk to the finance guy, like I had to do in some dealers closer by. Overall, I got the spiel for the extra warranties but I had already rejected everything. Finance papers were already pre-filled and ready to go and we completed fairly quickly. Overall, it was a great experience. I got to talk and geek-out with the employees, got everything taken care of quickly and without issues and was back home mid-day. I'd wish I had responded one of Cory's calls sooner; it would have saved me a lot of work and stress trying to work with other dealerships. I tend to be a loyal return customer, and with Seelye Kia Battle Creek I've found my new home. Cory did follow-up to make sure I made it home with the vehicle and ensure there were no issues. I found one discrepancy that I should have pointed out sooner but it was a non-issue and he took care of it right away. 100% great support. Additionally, Cory let me know that, in the future, they can work with me on getting the vehicle delivered so I don't have to deal with the range anxiety (EV) and that we could do all the paperwork through e-sign in the future, which is excellent! I'll miss the face-to-face, though, which, for a change, I did not mind at all!
