by Mike on 06/14/2019Have had experience similar to the above described "bait and switch": received low email quote from them when requested from Edmunds, they refused to honor when appear in person. Intend to report them to Toyota and state AG, since… according to reports they've made it as regular practice.Typical dishonest car dealer
by AdamWentworth on 03/05/2019The salesperson Pedro, had me sign a PAS agreement before even negotiating, saying the price would go down when financing shopped around. Once I got into the finance office, the manager rudely said "pffft, thats the price" when I mentioned… it making Pedro the salesman a straight up [non-permissible content removed]. I should have walked then, but they were giving me alot more for my trade in than I expected, and the thing was breaking down daily. Next up came the 9.42% finance "deal" through Toyota financial. They said they were the only ones that accepted me, even with good credit. I never got any rejection notices from other banks, so basically they never tried they most likely get an incentive to lock people into crap deals through Toyota. On a town local page, someone mentioned they had close to an 800 credit score and they were offered take it or leave it 9.99%. They also sold me a 3rd party extended warranty for $3,200, that once I needed it I found covers NOTHING. No engines, transmissions, super/turbochargers, electronics, NOTHING. Warranty company wouldnt even answer what they do cover after 3 emails, once they sent me this info. Lucky I caught this early and cancelled it (against dealer advice of course) and got $2795 credited back to my loan. Reading articles on 3rd party warranties afterwards its simply another dealership trick to swindle more money out of you, I was thrilled to see the check back to Toyota came from the dealer, (which is why they didnt want me to cancel since it cost them money) I was recommended to this place by a family friend, if this is how they treat someone recommended to them, Id hate to be someone off the street. To recap: lying salesperson, lying finance manager, borderline fraudulent 3rd party warranty. This is just your average, run of the mill dealer. Nothing special, nothing outstanding. You can get screwed at any Toyota dealer, or any car dealer for that matter so why choose Boch?[non-permissible content removed]
by Jenn_Christy on 01/31/2018Boch emailed a quoted price on a new 4runner. After more than an hour there, they claimed that the price was a "typo" and refused to honor the price. They were snotty and arrogant about it. Apparently, having the "lowest price" means… "quoting the lowest price in an obvious bait-and-switch scam"Worst car buying experience of my life!
by mattliptak on 08/29/2017I have bought several cars throughout my lifetime and went online to Trucar to get a price and come to these guys. Typical churn and burn dealer here, place is overly packed, tons of customers, not enough sales guys and too cramped with… cubes too close together and just not an easy car buying experience. Do they follow the Trucar price and abide by the exact prices quoted? Yes and no. Sure they get you in the door with great prices, but once in the door, they will suddenly run out of inventory for the vehicle you wanted through Trucar and try to put you into a more expensive higher end model. As well they use the old tactic, quote a monthly payment on the sales floor and then knock it down in the finance office claiming to save you $50 or more bucks a month and then try to sell you on all the high priced add ons like worthless resistall and tire and wheel protection and worse yet, high priced extended warranties. I was roped into Tire and Wheel and extended only to find out I could of saved money and not down these at time of sale so I cancelled both immediately after leaving. Don't fall for the shady sales practices. This dealership is all about customer volume and no matter if Toyota has regained their strong reputation, if you are getting taken for a ride with payments and principle, it won't matter. Good luck trying to reach someone after purchase as well, they don't call back and they never pick up.go elsewhere for honesty and respct
by newcarsmell14 on 10/01/2016We recently went to Boch to purchase a new car. Agreed on price with the Sales Manager, and shook hands on it. He came back 5 minutes later and reneged on the deal and attempted to shake me down for $500 more. He was dishonest and smug, and… treated us with tremendous disrespect. We actually chose to go somewhere else and paid more -'just couldn't trust these guys after they tried to scam us. I would Never buy a car from this dealership. Don't confuse them with Boch Toyota in Norwood, as they are real professionals.NEVER AGAIN!
by Bochbusted on 07/15/2015The service department is great. The sales staff, however, is absolutely NOT.When I purchased my 2010 4Runner with 21, 000 miles...it was in the evening, and I thought I was getting a great deal. I am a woman and was alone during my… purchase. I wanted to make sure I could afford the vehicle and tried to be very careful about every detail. What happened is a total disgrace. After the hand shakes and congratulations...I was set to go home as the dealership was closing. The sales person INSISTED they detail the vehicle for me before I drove it home. I told him that it wasn't important as it was pretty clean in and out already. ...the sales person would NOT HAVE IT and still insisted they detail it for me. I felt bad for staff as I felt as if I was holding them up but caved in to the salesperson's request. I cleaned out my own car and it was almost 10 PM when they gave me the vehicle to drive home. I got in it, the salesperson waved me off with a smile and I drove the vehicle home. It wasn't until a few days later, I was told to get my tires checked as they looked very worn. I was shocked as it only had 21,000 miles and I remember the tires looking in great shape when I test drove it. . I brought the vehicle to the dealership for an oil change. It was then I was informed that "3" of my tires were dangerously worn and only one was okay. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN ON A VEHICLE WITH 20,000 MILES AND HOW DO 3 TIRES BECOME DANGEROUSLY WORN WITH NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I AM VERY SUSPICIOUS THE SALES STAFF MOST LIKELY SWITCHED THE TIRES WHEN THEY INSISTED ON DETAILING IT IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP THE GOOD TIRES THAT WERE ON THERE. I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership....NEVER !Seemed like a bait and switch to me...
by reviewingcars on 05/18/2015I went through the used inventory online and was pumped to go in and test drive a car that seemed perfect. I was really looking for a sunroof and heated leather seats in a certain price range--this car had that and also a navigation system… as a bonus! When the salesman brought up the car for me to test drive (I had already filled out the form and they had my information) it was not at all like the car in their listing. This car contained none of the features advertised. I even double checked the VIN of the car and the one in the listing and the salesman checked their inventory and even he had all those options listed. When brought to the attention of a manager, he acted like he barely had time for us and just said "our online inventory is done by a third party and mistakes happen" and sent us on our way. They had no intention of trying to make the situation right, offer a similar vehicle, or to revise the listing. The worse part is, the false listing is still up! If it had been taken down I wouldn't even bother with the negative review. I will not bother with them in my car search and wouldn't recommend them to anyone I know either.Let's test drive Cars with Kevin Roach every day
by ben_herman on 12/17/2014Still researching vehicles, so I haven't experienced anything but the sales staff (so only 4 stars, if I buy I will update the stars). The title says it all. After visiting 4 dealerships looking at cars, My kids voted Kevin the best… salesman and said we had to come back and drive more cars with him. Even knowing that I wasn't going to buy toady, Kevin stayed late, drove me around the lot after it closed to look at colors & inventory. Before I left the office manger came out and chatted with me to make sure I didn't have any questions. No attempts to pressure me into vehicle I didn't want, now games. Not sure what happens when you try to negotiate price, but up to this point these guys have been a pleasure to work with.great service
by johnnymoe1974 on 11/21/2014Maged sabet, worked hard to find us the perfect truck, at the payments we needed. Thank you to you and the whole team there that worked so hard to get us into our dream truck. A 2014 tundraNever again Boch
by camryowner3 on 08/03/2009In May 2009, I visited the North Attleboro location to try to see the new spruce mica green 2010 Camry color that I had read about. That's all. I WAS planning to purchase a new Camry by the end of June, early July, Boch was the closest… dealer to me. I outlined MY plans, told them how I wanted the Camry configured, but, needed to know if I liked the new green 2010 or purchase a 2009 in grey or aloe green. Well, the calls following my visit (they are open 7 days a week, it's tough to spy or look around) were annoying! I wrote to Ernie Boch, stating that I would not commit to anything until I saw the green Camry, he had a manager put me on a no call list ... right! Then I do get a call that the new green was in North Attleboro. Wonderful, there was NO such car on the lot. This was 3 hours after the call. But, again, they pushed to try to get me into a Camry ... NOW! Long story short, I found the Green 2010 Camry in RI, did not like the color, put a deposit down for them to find me either a Grey or Aloe Green 2009 with a sunroof. Time elapsed 30 minutes. The RI dealer benefitted from the Boch sales tactics. Now, I am enjoying my new 2009 Aloe Green Camry.Good first impression turns to cold shoulder and then insult.
by newcarbuyer11 on 12/08/2008We read the reviews but thought to give this dealer a chance anyway. Our first impression was positive but we were looking at the new models. We told the young man we first met that we were only looking and wanted to see what was… available. We took a ride and got the sales pitch. Fair enough, we were at a dealership after all. He was hot to point out all the new bells and wistles. However, the warmth and excitment turned cold when we then asked to look at used models - 2008s and even 2007s. Still, the young man turned it around a little when we asked serious questions. Of course he wanted us to sit down and run some numbers. Again, fair warning, we weren't buying and just wanted information. When we wouldn't budge even after the numbers, he insisted we had to see the manager to get the real numbers - after we had just spent 30 minutes of our time looking at numbers we already had. A real chill set in when the manager pulled an invoce on a new model "close" to the first one we looked at - remember we were now looking at used models. The manager told us we would regret not taking the deal and we would never get a deal like it again. Ice Cold. Turn Off. I walked off determined not to buy just so they wouldn't get the satisfaction. We went to another dealer who didn't pull that ploy and treated us like adults. We made a deal having information we got from Edmunds giving us some confidence we at least had real information. But the chill in the air really set in a coulple of days later when this dealership called and asked if we where still interested. When we broke the news that we went elsewhere they had the nerve to ask where we bought the car. We we declined to say they actualy said, "Why, are you embarased to say?" Bad enough to let everyone else know.Do not buy from these [violative content deleted]!!!!
by kearnsz on 09/01/2008Told me to come down and look at a new truck. Drove down ( 1 hour) got there and the truck had 10K miles and was smashed up in the front. The salesman tried to get me to buy it but I told him, I wanted a new one. No problem he says we will… add the equipment on an in stock truck. So he names a price on my trade and the cash difference. I tell him I will be back the following day to close the deal. Go back the next day all is well, fill out paperwork, picture of drivers lic, etc. 4 hours later I am waiting to sign P and S agreement and they say "Oh we cannot do this deal" we need 10K more and proceeds to tell me they are going to offer 6K less on my trade than they said the day before. The the 20 something finance genius says to talk to the sales manager I saw the previous day. Next day I call him and he says:"Oh your truck is worth more than that let me get some"Real" numbers and I will get back to you today! Never calls me back.I call 10 times over 3 days then I call a sales guy and he tells me the sales manager already gave me the "Real numbers" I tell him he has never called me back in 3 days!!! Avoid these [violative content deleted]!!! If you are smart they do not want to do business with you. Will never go here again!!!!Great experience at Boch Toyota South
by LucyInTheSky on 10/09/2012updated 08/31/2025I recently bought a 2012 Toyota Camry at Boch Toyota in North Attleboro and had a great experience. My initial contact was with Josh H. in the internet sales department. I told him exactly what I wanted and he emailed the specs and price of… the car I wanted which they had in stock. The price was better than the estimate for this vehicle on Edmunds.com. I was then introduced to my sales associate, Mark N. who was very helpful and not the least bit pushy. I bought the car, which i absolutely love! Everyone at Boch Toyota South was helpful, polite and professional. I had reservations about going there because of some poor customer reviews I'd seen of Boch in Norwood but I had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this dealer!EASIEST car purchase I've ever had.
by pennybags681 on 04/04/2014updated 08/31/2025Everybody I dealt with was excellent. They took a lot of phone calls from me over a period of 2 weeks and always answered any questions I had in a friendly and courteous manner. My thanks to everyone I dealt with, from my very first call… with Ed D., to Muhammad S. who finalized the sale, was there when I picked up the vehicle which was shiny and clean with a full tank of gas AND he even set up my Bluetooth and personally showed me how to use any feature I had questions about and he's only been in the business for 2 or 3 months. I also want to give shout-outs to Poe in financing, Sales Associates Megan and Christine who put up with my many phone calls as well and that handsome man at the very end who makes sure everything is exactly as you want it before you drive away....he knows who he is !!!Boch is the place to go!
by Brian_V on 04/29/2014updated 08/31/2025After doing a lot of research on small SUV/Crossovers, I was really tossed between the Mazda CX-5 Touring and the RAV-4 XLE. My current car was a Mazda and I wanted to stay Mazda as my Mazda 3 treated me very well for 6 years. However I… left all options open. On 4-19-14, we stopped in after testing a KIA Sportage (ugh) which I was not impressed by the car or the experience. Upon arriving at Boch Toyota South, we met Lam N, which was probably the best thing that happened to us. We explained to Lam we were interested in test driving a 2014 RAV-4. Before we even stepped into the car Lam explained all the features inside and out before even starting the car. Let me say this went miles as the KIA salesman could have cared less we were even there let alone point out any features. So we took the test drive, informing Lam that was all we were doing that day as we still wanted to try the Mazda, which I was saving for last as I thought the Mazda would have been our last stop and final destination. I could not have been more wrong. A week later, we test drove the CX-5 on 4-26-14 and although it was a very hard leaving the Mazda behind, as I thought, why am I going to want the Mazda which was front wheel drive, no sunroof, no heated mirrors, no dual climate control, no cargo cover, and no two years maintenance. I thought hello dummy, get over to Toyota and get that RAV-4 with all those features for the same price. We headed straight to Boch directly from Mazda's lot. Having Lam as our salesperson, was priceless. I am very glad we ran into him when we first took our test drive. He was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and looked after our best interests. We were so comfortable with Lam, it was like a friend of ours was selling the car to us. Not once did we feel pressured at all. Once negotiations were over, he handed us over to Charles in finance who explained everything to us, all sorts of optional ways of financing the vehicle and came up with something that worked for us. Charles was very pleasant, easy going, and just nice to talk to. Sunday came to pickup the car, Lam gave us a complete tour of the entire facility, which was beyond anything I had ever seen. The sheer size, the cleanliness, etc.. are indescribable. Once the car was done with detailing we once again went over every nook and cranny of that vehicle. When Lam was putting my license plate on, he had noticed a large, deep scratch on the rear lift gate, which made him mad, as the detailers did not inform him of this. He went a got some touch-up paint for us, but then decided, NO, the detailers should fix this. So he brought the car back for them to fix the scratch, but it was too deep. He has arranged for me to go in on Wednesday, while the paint-pro is there to get it rectified. He told us if I had any problems with anyone to call his cell phone and he would talk to whoever he would need to to make it right. Overall this was the best experience I have ever had by far at any dealership, and I have bought four new cars in my life from four different makes. We already have Lam in our sights for when my wife's car needs replacing, which I hope he will still be there. (Hold onto him, he's a keeper!!) Thank you Lam & Charles (and Boch) Brian and AlisonAn great experience
by Lusa on 03/29/2014updated 08/31/2025After getting the run around from four other Toyota dealers, it was a pleasure to experience a hassle free buying experience. I drove a total of 4 hours to purchase a 2013 Prius C , and it was worth it. The price and service made the drive… worth it.GREAT experience!
by msarancio on 05/05/2014updated 08/31/2025We were lucky enough to have Lam N as our sales rep. He didn't stop until he found the perfect car for our family. When it came time to negotiate, he went to bat for us multiple times. Overall, the whole process was wonderful!Best Prices in MA!
by rti_wiz on 03/24/2014updated 08/31/2025Worked with Caroline and Oudom in sales and got an unbelievable deal on a 2014 Highlander Limited with all the bells and whistles. No other dealers in my area could even come close to their price. Highly recommend taking a trip to Boch… Toyota South, even if it means driving an hour from your home. You will not get a better deal!Highly Recommended!
by weatherjs on 02/21/2014updated 08/31/2025Highly recommend checking out Boch Toyota South in North Attleboro. I delt with Tony as my sales person and I purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla. Tony was very thorough and explained everything about the car and I got a great deal! Boch South… Toyota is the place to go if you are looking to buy a new car! These folks are just the BEST!
by grdenmum on 06/04/2014updated 08/31/2025I made the drive over to the Boch Toyota South last week and was welcomed by Mike S and then his manager Benjamin. In all my years of buying cars (almost half a century), I have never felt so welcome at a car showroom. These gentlemen… greeted me with a smile, patiently answered all my questions, shared some of their advice. I felt as though I were part of their family. I did not once feel uncomfortable, or pressured. They were happy to show me around, listen to my needs, make some useful suggestions. If any family or friend mentions that he/she needs a car, either purchasing or leasing, I am sending him/her right down to these wonderful guys!Rene L
by jarcos on 05/26/2014updated 08/31/2025He is a great seller and I recommend him to new buyers. I bought 2 cars with him. My family and I are satisfied with our new cars.
