  • Bad experiance

I went through terrible experiance when i bought the car at this dealership. When i first visited the showroom, Salesman was forcing me to book the vehicle on the same day and quoted me one price which i can understand and will be the case in most of the dealership " make the deal today". But what happned after this was not acceptable. Next day i called up the Sales guy to confirm if the price i was quoted yesterday is still valid. He says yes. You can come over to the showroom. So i went with my co-signee there to make the deal. I had to take a co-signee because i am new in US have no credit history. After i went there , sales guy tells me that the price he told me over the phone just 1 hr back is not valid and was quoting $500 more than the original price he quoted and said that there was some mis communication over phone. We walked off the table. After couple days , he calls up reducing the price , we went there again and finalized on the price , gave the deposit amount.Submitted the credit application. Now the worst part comes here , now that they had the deposit. I had a cosignee with 720+ score. Finance guy Manny at thsi dealership for Honda Finance told me that his credit history is not good enough and i have to go on my own which will cost me 15-18% of interest . I could not believe this , but he told me some stories as to how just having a good score is not enough to get good interest, one would need better trade lines, more no of years with good history and so on. At that point i said fine,i will get another cosignee and this time my other co signee was really good, 13 years of good credit history , multiple trade lines , owns multiple cars and houses in US. Even after taking him and submitting new credit application. He just sits over it does nothing. I called him atleast 5-6 times a day for 2 days , evrytime he says it will take another hour for him to know the status of credit application. I realized that it was a total lie, when me and my co-signee decided to visit the dealership. When we went there , he first said that even with new co-signee i would get interest in teens so its better that i take up this on my own at 15-18%. We told him to get lost and said we will take back our finance application and get it financed from somewhere else at better rate. He said then car price would change blah blah, We said how can car price change if we do not finance it from you. I could have bought it all cash . After lot of argument He then told us to come to his office and started entering information on system , within couple of min , he came up with interest rate of 5%. i said fine for it. But i realized that he didnt even bother to enter the co-signee info before we came in and was just lying. After the finance contract got signed at 5% , rest of the things were k till vehicle delivery.

very bad experience and wasting time: they offer a good price, but when the papers are already signed they want to change the terms

Bottom line: (1) They completely ignored the internet price that was offered forcing us to renegotiate. (2) When negotiation did not go well, the sales rep (second tier of engagement) got confrontational and rude.

I saw a car in their online inventory that interested me. I called before making 50 minute drive over with my wife and kid just to be sure the car was on the lot. Sales manager Harvey checks his records (seemingly), says yes indeed we've got that car on the lot, come on down. I get there, they don't have the car and try to interest me in something else. My family & I lost out on a sunny wknd afternoon because of Harvey's shenanigans. I won't set foot on any dealership w/ the Bernardi name on it as long as I live.

  • Great people to deal with!

I sent out an inquiry to several local dealers via Edmunds.com for pricing on a 2011 Honda Civic. Bernardi responded with the best pricing. We corresponded with emails regarding total cost of the vehicle, and everything was all set. I went to the dealership, signed the papers for the previously agreed amount, and picked up the car a few days later. Harvey, Eric, and Craig Mello were a pleasure to deal with, and I would not hesitate to go back there in the future for a vehicle. Overall, they made purchasing a car a very easy process without any stress at all!

  • The worst experience ever

Sales people are cunning and also threaten people for good rating. I bought a Civic 2013 recently. My experience was bad and I was planning to give poor rating for their sales survey. The sales person asked to give him excellent rating, made some threatening statements. It was the worst experience. I do not recommend Bernadi.
