The entire staff at Minuteman Volkswagen are the best. Apurv, Eric, Tim, John and Jennifer in sales. Patrick and Gregorio in service. Simply the best. The 4th VW from this dealership. I don't even consider others. Oh and the cars a pretty good as well. Thanks

  • Great Experience !

5 out of 5 starsby Shay on 08/28/2017

Cameron and Tim were nothing but wonderful to me. I found a car I loved and had it within a few days. Tim and Cameron were more than patient with me throughout the entire length of the purchase. I decided last minute when I needed the car and drove home with it the same day. It was my first time purchasing a car on my own and they made it a very pleasant experience for me.

  • Disgraceful Service! Don't go to Minuteman VW

1 out of 5 starsby RichardC on 08/09/2017

AVOID MINUTEMAN VW AT ALL COSTS!! I was looking for a used car and they had a car I loved. I had used Minuteman on numerous occasions to service my other cars but never bought one from them. I live in CT trying to get my car after I had given them a check for the full price was a nightmare. I was not told of the documentary fee so I actually paid too much and my check was $100 too much. So after waiting over a week to get my car after purchase they then also decided no to get me my check for over 4 more additional weeks. Once they had my money I was no longer important to them. As I write this review to warn people away from this understaffed and disrespectful establishment I still have not received my check. They say they will send it tomorrow... hmm I've already heard that 3 or 4 times so I'm not too hopeful. AVOID MUNUTEMAN VW AT ALL COSTS! VW cars are great but this dealership is filled with [non-permissible content removed].

  • Absolute worst dealer I have ever dealt with.

1 out of 5 starsby Husbandofhotwife on 07/07/2017

The salesman we dealt with was the rudest, most arrogant man, calling my wife hot, telling myself to stay out of it and "let her do what she wants". This man had no clue about anything, the car he was selling, basic manners, nothing. Loved the car, tried to persevere, signed the paperwork. Finance department was also incompetent. Shocker. Tells me they don't even have the title to the vehicle, and they will have it in a day or two. After 4 days and even more phone calls later I've only had one call returned, and even the general manager doesn't quite know where my title is. Oh and I did mention they don't know when the body work that was included in the deal will be done? They said it will be done on a certain day, called that day and they're going to look into it. Upon expressing my concerns to the manager his response at the end of all this was chuckling at my story and saying something along the lines of "well whatever if you don't want the car we can give you your deposit back" from sales to management they do not care about customers. A month later I had to take a day off of work and drive down 40 minutes back to their dealer to get my deposit back after all was said and done. I cannot stress enough how terrible their service was. You could not pay me to buy a car from these people. If you hate yourself, this is the place to buy a car.

I live in So. New Hampshire and this is the 3rd VW I bought from Minuteman. I physically drove by three VW dealerships to buy my car at Minuteman and can honestly say they have the best prices around. Even better, the are very easy to talk to without any high pressure sales techniques. Please check out Minuteman Volkswagen, you'll be happy you did!

Excellent service. Caduste Michaud went out of his way to make this an easy, stress free experience. I was offered a great lease price and then compared 6 other dealerships including another VW dealership and was quite satisfied that I was indeed getting the most optimal deal at Minuteman VW.

We just leased a Jetta from Shirley, she was great to work with, as was your new finance person jeff. The other salesman who helped was the good looking man at the first desk with the white hair. when Shirley had to go help another customer, he kicked in...very nice. we had a great experience with your team.

Purchasing my new Jetta SE from Minuteman Volkswagen was by far the easiest, most painless car buying experience I have ever had. Caduste was my sales buddy and he was extremely friendly, easy going and knowledgeable! I was trading in my old Jetta and they gave me exactly what I wanted for it! I would definitely recommend Minuteman VW to anyone looking for a car. Thanks Caduste!

The car buying process at minuteman VW was great. The sales department treated me with respect and was no nonsense. Everything they said they would do they did. I got the car I wanted at a very good price. It's hard to imagine how I could be more satisfied.
  • Easy and Fast

I got a great deal on a car from John at this dealership. Tom the GM was excellent to deal with too. There was no hassle, no pressure, no haggling. I've never had such an easy experience buying a car and highly recommend going to this dealership. They even called me a couple days after to check in and see how I liked the car.
  • Internet Sales Director withhold my deposit and has been ignoring my calls.

1 out of 5 starsby dccheung on 04/02/2008

I have been shopping for a VW Rabbit for around a month and I had e-mail correspondance with several VW dealers. I was looking for a manual 2 dr VW Rabbit and the Internet Sales "Director", Perkins Louis, asked for my deposit. He said that his manager will not look for a car with my specification without a deposit. So I put in a deposit. After a few days, he made me apply for finance, saying that the sales manager cannot go further until I apply for finance. So I did again. And THEN, he said that there are no car available *ANYWHERE* in the entire New England region. He then recommends me to order to car and said it will take 8 weeks. At this point, I realized that he is NOT making any progress on my sales and so I decided to request my deposit back. I have e-mailed him and left him voice messages. It has be 2 WEEKS and I got no response from him. I WILL talk to the general manager for Minuteman Volkswagen if this has not been resolved immediately.
    • I received a call from Perkins himself today (4/18/2008) and I have expressed my concerns regarding my sales experience. I told him to feel free to clarify any misunderstandings in this thread. However, I am not surprised that he disguised himself as another user to offset this negative comment. During my "ex-communication" from the dealer, I have tried to contact the General Manger of Minuteman Dealership to get a status of my deposit back. Nonetheless, his contact information (i.e., work number or e-mail address) is not available anywhere in the website. This only goes to say the GM's view of customer service is questionable. By the way, the GM is Ray Hovsepian. He has a letter in the "About us" page, and yes, that's about it. If I am treated this poorly with just a $500 dollar deposit, how will anyone trust them with a higher amount? Just my opinion on this matter. By the way, Bob should be promoted. He's the one who gave me the status of the deposit.

    • In light of some recent comments, I felt it necessary to at least let consumers hear another side to consumers feelings about our dealership. I received an Internet lead from the customer mentioned in these forum threads. This customer requested that I find him a 2 door manual Volkswagen Rabbit. What was never mentioned in these comments was that I answered all his questions in regards to pricing, options, and availability. After a considerable time of negotiating prices that was compared to other dealers, he agreed that the price I offered him on this car was either competitive or better than his previous quotes from MANY dealers. At this point in the sale, the customer was made aware that locating this hard to find Rabbit may be difficult, and there were only a couple of cars that fit his specifications as far as options and colors go. The customer said he would like us to get one of these few Rabbits available for the price we agreed on. I explained to the customer that in order for me to get the dealership to purchase a $16,000 vehicle, we would need a commitment for the sale. This commitment involved a modest deposit of $500 and a credit application to ensure he was going to qualify for financing. Regardless, after calling these other dealers and finding out the car was sold, the customer was IMMEDIATELY notified that the remaining Rabbits were sold. At this point I offered alternatives like getting the same car in automatic, or ordering one to his exact specifications. I then received very belligerent emails from the customer saying he would not "purchase and automatic under any circumstances and that he was not interested in ordering a car at all". I then responded to the customer apologizing for the lack of availability and then proceeded to say if there is anything I can do to earn your business on another car, please let me know. What I don't understand is why the customer feels that what I did seemed so underhanded AFTER he found out the car wasn't available. Nonetheless, I turned in the deal to our office for a refund. No what I would like to make clear is that I have NO control over the money that comes in and out of our dealership. It is strictly handled by our managers and office staff. After the deal was cancelled and turned into the office, I did not hear from the customer for ten days. After this time frame passed the customer told me he bought an automatic that he said he didn't want from another dealer. He got his refund.

    • I bought a new Jetta at Minuteman VW recently and did all my shopping online with their internet manager. His name is Perkins Louis. I found dealing with him to be a delightful experience. His product knowledge was exceptional, and his negotiations with me was straight forward and honest. I highly recommend Perkins as THE person to go to if you are considering a new VW. In an industry where all too often one runs into undesirable salespeople I found Perkins to be a "breath of fresh air." Look him up if you are shopping for a new VW and see for yourself. Oh,I forgot to mention price. Perkins gave me a great price as well.

I bought few VW from Minuteman before and this is what I can say about them. Minuteman VW stays true to their reputation, they do not work very hard to get to the numbers you want, but they are great at matching it or to a point where it is impossible to beat for local small VW dealerships. They work hard to get your business, but sometimes you wish they would try just a little harder. IF they had the car I wanted, I would have stayed with them.
