  • SHINY PIECE OF TRASH!

1 out of 5 starsby Santos on 11/11/2023

The truck a have bought has been a nightmare since I left the lot. A week after buying, (no driving since it wasn’t insured yet), I went to take it to the dealer for an oil change (that should’ve been done before I bought it) and the CHECK… ENGINE 💡came on. MISFIRE. Upon oil change and check up, they say my front brakes are damn near shot. I called and Kenny is giving me the run around about their rigorous inspection methods. I get my guy to do the SPARK PLUGS, COIL PACK, BRAKES, ROTORS and the PISTON falls off the caliper. So I have to replace that as well. Then then a month later, I have another MISFIRE! This time it’s not only just one but two cylinders. I reluctantly changed them. Just two days ago I had ANOTHER MISFIRE! So I had to change ALL 8 injectors, 2 SPARK PLUGS, and the FUEL FILTER. I’m beyond pissed because I spent over $20,000 on this truck cash only to deal with this shady stuff. They don’t do any work on their vehicles. They don’t really inspect them. They just get them and do what’s good to the eye and send them out. BE WARNED if going to do business with these people.

These guys went out of their way to help me. I was out of there in no time. First time I bought a car and didn't have to spend the day there. Last couple of times I used CarMax. These guys surpass them. I would spend all day at CarMax and… go home stressed. When I bought my car from Glen Burnie Auto Exchange, I went home early and didn't stress Really like these guys. I would recommend to everyone
  • don't buy anything from here - rate is really minus five stars

I purchased a vehicle from them 9-27-2021. The car looked nice; I drove it around the block; it sounded nice but I noticed the controller for the outside mirrors weren't working; they told me to come back and they would repair that which… they did but the left drive side mirror is still not stable and they refused to repair it. The radio was of poor quality and they promised they would fix it; I took the vehicle back; they claimed they fixed it but it still has a whole lot of static and half the time you can't get a good station; the blower for the fan works when it feels like it; they didn't repair that but wanted to charge me 699.99 for them to repair it. Kenny tried to indicate that the blower was working properly when I bought it which it was but how could the blower be broken in less than two months on this vehicle. The salesman Kenny (older guy because I've been told that both of their names is Kenny) is very rude and disrespectful. When the 30 day warranty was expiring I called and spoke to Kenny to let him know that I had death in my family and I wouldn't be able to make it back to the lot so that they could fix my radio and Kenny (older guy) stated that I didn't need to worry about it; that he would fix it as promised but that turned out to be a lie because that never happened. The car had 103,000 miles on it when I purchased it in September and as of today it has 106,000. I don't drive out of town so how could that be when I drive local. Something is wrong with the odometer obviously. I feel that I was treated badly because I'm a female and they act like they really don't care about their customers; only the money that they cheat people out of. I believe that this car is a lemon and the inspection done to this car was not legal. I would recommend that whoever is in need of purchasing vehicle that you don't consider Glen Burnie Auto Exchange because they're extremely dishonest people. As of today, I have no radio at all; I guess they really did put a junk yard radio in my car; heater fan blows when it feels like it; traction control light keeps coming on; message saying engine losing power and service stabilitrak message keeps coming on also; I've been sold a lemon
    • We here at Glen Burnie Auto Exchange INC pride ourselves in selling quality automobiles and are proud of our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, after 25 years of serving the community and its surrounding areas. Our response to Ms.Smith's comments are as follows: -In reference to the radio issue, we replaced all of her speakers trying to correct the intermittent static a few days after the vehicle was purchased. - We did look at Ms.Smith's radio and found no problem with it. Although she complained of static noise, we did offer to replace her radio as a courtesy at a later date. She vehemently declined our offer, I presume because we could not fix it that same day. - The intermittent heating issue was brought to our attention after approximately 3,000 miles were placed on the vehicle. A free diagnosis was performed and yes Ms.Smith was quoted $699 to repair it. However, she failed to mention we offered t contribute over $300 towards the bill. Although she was completely out of our warranty agreement, this contribution would have lowered the cost of the repair to under $400. Ms.Smith's response was "I will pay nothing towards any repair, do not do anything that will cost me money". -The shop we referred her to actually did a temporary repair to the vehicle free of charge (Glen Burnie Auto Exchange paid this bill). However, she was offered no warranty and repeatedly kept thanking the mechanic for the repair at a free cost. -The customer stated her "rearview mirror vibrated". However, our State Inspector found nothing wrong with its operation. -Ms. Smith also alleged the odometer wasn't working because "There was no way she could have put approximately 3,000 miles on the vehicle since the day it was purchased". After checking the miles at the time of purchase, from the repair shop it did in fact have 2,560 miles put on it. The MD State Inspector verified that the odometer was working properly In conclusion, we here at Glen Burnie Auto Exchange INC attempted to please the customer. I have come to the realization that there is no reasonable way to please this customer and we no longer offer any further incentives at this time.

    • No need for this poor place of business to respond any further. If you look on other reviews sites they have a history of selling people lemons. Very dishonest business who get away with selling defective cars. No further contact needed from them. They can’t even tell the truth about my experience. Obviously have no respect for females
