Easy and Fast Experience

Had a great car buying experience at the dealership! Each person I came in contact with from my sales person, Victor Castro, to the gentleman who got my car washed and ready for me were kind, helpful and greeted me with a smile. Mr. Castro is extremely knowledgeable about the products he is selling and very patient with questions I had for him. I would go back without a second thought and highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

Not a Happy Camper

Had no intention of buying a new car. Was there for service on my 2012 Acura TL that I was perfectly happy with. Have bought several cars from this dealer before -- always same story -- they see you in the waiting room and call you over and start the high pressure sales process. I said I was not ready to buy a new car but did test drive a 2016 TLX. Then the papers start coming for signature. Kept saying I was not ready to buy a new car -- should have just walked away. Had no time to do any research on the value of my 2012 trade-in or the price of a new car. Once you drive it off the lot, it is yours no matter what. Got no sleep and went back the next day after doing some research on my trade-in. Be aware that Rosenthal uses the Kelly Blue Book which does account for low mileage or the condition of the car. I am retired, drive very little, car in great condition, always drove like a dream. New car -- not as much pick-up. Got a little better price next day but still not happy and wish I had my old car back.

DO NOT BUY USED CARS HERE!!!!

Bought a used car last Saturday, started having issues Monday. As I was pulling out of the parking spot I heard and felt something rumbling. I had a MD STATE INSPECTOR AND MECHANIC look at it and he came back with A LIST of issues it had! One of which was in reference to the "BRAND NEW TIRES" so the sales person said! After removing all the shine and cramp they put on this polished turd you can see how dry rotted the tires are! My back ones are 8 years old and the front ones are 3 years old! BRAND NEW [non-permissible content removed]! THE COOLANT SMELLED BURNT AND WAS VERY DISCOLORED, THE TRANSMISSION FLUID IS SO DIRTY, MY TIRES ARE NOT REPAIRABLE [non-permissible content removed] AND HAVE A NAIL IN THE SIDE WALL, THE DENT IN MY BACK END THEY SAID THEY'D GIVE ME A "VOUCHER" TO COME BACK AN THEY WILL REPAIR IT FOR FREE IS NON EXISTENT, AND I HAVE SOMETHING RUBBING UNDER THE HOOD WHEN I TURN OUT OF THE PARKING SPOTS! So I called several times this morning......I called service they said that they only thing they did was prep it for sale which means they cleaned and polished it. The sales person told me they had a list of things they did to it!! I finally get a hold of a manager and the pre owned sales manager raises he voice at me and will not let me get a single word in, and practically tells me to go screw myself by telling me "I'd rather give you your van back than make you happy". So if you go to look at a white 2008 Lincoln MKX be advised it is [non-permissible content removed] because it the one I personally returned to them!

Amazing sales experience.. Seamless and friendly

Absolutely flawless process. Walked into the dealership considering several models with an interest to eventually buy a new car within a month or two. Worked with Benjamin Amin, who was so accommodating and attentive to all family members present. I did not feel any pressure or commitment to buy like many other salesmen I have dealt with in the past. Benjamin tried to cater to what I was looking for and showed me the new 2016 ILX as well as the 2015 TLX. I felt very comfortable with my interaction. Received a great offer (compared to prices on truecar.com) without any haggling. Closed the deal within 3 hours and did not have any second thoughts. The color of the car was not available on lot on that first day, but Benjamin (and manager Rubin) were able to get what I wanted within 48 hours. Both Benjamin and Rubin have also had the courtesy to follow up with me several times since driving off the lot to see how the car is performing and answer my questions. Family atmosphere and look forward to doing business with Rosenthal Acura in the near future.

2015 MDX SH AWD -- Best car buying experience ever

The sales staff at Rosenthal Acura were very professional. They took the time to listen to our needs and showed us precisely the vehicle we wanted. There was no pressure to 'up-sell' us. They allowed us to take our time and verified each of our request as we went. The sales manager Kenneth Chang was simply the best. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle and explained in great detail the functions and features of the vehicle. The courteous and professional care extended well beyond the sale. We had additional questions regarding the sale and Kenneth took the time to return our call and spend time addressing our questions.

Excellent Buying Experience

We recently leased our third Acura vehicle from Rosenthal. Overall the experience was excellent, with none of the games many car dealers seem to employ. We had done considerable research to determine a pricing and leasing goal. However, we were not intending to lease a vehicle at this time as our review of the prices paid forums suggested now may not be the best time to lease a new MDX. On a whim, we visited Rosenthal one Saturday last month to take a closer look at the 2015 MDX with the intention of leasing during the spring when we thought pricing would be more favorable. The sales man and sales manager asked us what we would need for a lease at this time. We told them our lease goal, fully expecting not to receive a comparable offer. Rosenthal's initial offer was a bit higher, which is to be expected. However, when we indicated we would not lease at that offer, Rosenthal immediately met our lease goals. The entire process to arrive at a deal, with test drive, took just a bit more than one hour. I think this may be due largely to the fact we had done our research regarding price and trade values which we presented immediately to the sales staff. This eliminated many of the games inherent in a long negotiation session when one side presents price followed by a counter and on and on. In the F&I office, the manager did not employ any hard selling techniques to sell their F&I products. We simply told that manager we were not interested and the manager honored our desires by not mentioning the products again. The entire process took less than three hours, very reasonable. While the selling process was great, it is also important to know that service after the sale will also be great. We have used Rosenthal's service department for all our Acura vehicles, including one we had not purchased at Rosenthal. In every service event, Rosenthal's performance was excellent. Overall from sales to service, we have been extremely pleased with Rosenthal Acura.

Lease experience

This is our 5th or 6th MDX that we have leased from Rosenthal. This experience as all of the other ones was as painless and efficient as it could be. Our Salesperson, Arthur, is a no nonsense/gimmick professional who always looks out for our best interests. The service department is extraordinary. There is a new Acura Dealer much closer to our residence and the Metro system ( Washington DC area) but we continue to patronize Rosenthal Acura because of their sales policies and their service department. My service advisors are Malcolm & Eileen

Best Quality Service I have Ever Received

We have owned five Acuras and Rosenthal Acura has serviced them since 1991. The service reps are knowledgeable, do what they promise, and great with follow through. Our newest is being taken care of by Adam Kerner in Service who is superb. The mechanics are highly trained and we have hardly needed to go back for re-dos. Peace of mind regarding our cars' safety and ease of doing business with Rosenthal Acura Service Representatives will keep us going back for more Acuras.

Excellent Sales with Some Glitches

We purchased a 2015 Acura TLX online after test driving the car at Rosenthal. The problem we had was that we don't live any where near the dealer, and we negotiated with the sales manager to have the car delivered who readily agreed. After going back and forth with the salesman several times, who wanted me to pick me up (why not just bring me the car if you're going to pick me up?), he finally brought me the car and the paperwork. All was well, and I love the car! If there hadn't been such a go-around regarding the delivery of the car, I would have given Rosenthal five stars.

This is our 2nd new Acura purchase from Rosenthal, both times from Alan E in the Internet Sales department. He is a wonderful person to work with - straightforward, friendly, knowledgable, laid-back, and a great communicator. The whole process was so easy. Alan worked hard to find the color/ options package we wanted on our new '15 MDX (looked at getting from local and regional dealers and then ended up having one redirected from the factory for us) and the negotiations were a straightforward, easy process AND we beat Consumer Reports' "Good Deal" target price by a significant amount. Ask for Alan you will NOT be disappointed!

Aa Amazing Buying Experience

Rosnethal Acura was thoroughly committed to customer service from the moment we walked in! Our salesman, Fernando, was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. There was never any pressure, just informative dialogue and fair discussion on pricing and service. He was top notch. The Sales Manager, Sam, did not give us the typical heavy sell speech ... in fact, he ensured we received the best price and provided significant improvements to our selected vehicle. A pre-owned car is indeed used, but Rosenthal made ours look almost brand new ... they went way above and beyond with impressive body repairs, painting, and detailing. They even arranged for free installation of our towing hitch. I would say it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I highly recommend Rosenthal and will be sending many referrals to Fernando and Sam for many years to come.

Amazing as Always...

I've purchased 3 Acura's from Alan E since 2008. I am always impressed by their professionalism and their "no pressure" policy. I also love the service department and the way everyone, especially Tina, takes pride in her position and always makes sure my experience is superb. I own a 2008 TL and a 2015 RDX and love them both! Service wasn't what they promised on the phone.

Based on the previous reviews my experience is not typical, however they did not deliver what they promised and I am upset. We have two Acuras and I am not looking forward to returning to Rosenthal to have more work done. I have a 2014 RDX and scheduled an appointment to have roof rails installed. I called the morning of my appointment to confirm that there would be a loaner car. The service department confirmed that there were still 3 loaners, but even if they weren't available Rosenthal has an agreement with Enterprise to secure a rental car. When I dropped the car off I was told they were out of loaner cars. No one in the service department could explain why they had confirmed the loaner car two hours previous to my scheduled appointment. I do not mind waiting for service, but I was not told that I would have to wait. The service manager apologized, but the woman who gave me misinformation shrugged her shoulders and went back to work. Not sure why I would want to have anything else done here and as I write this I am concerned about the quality of their work.

XLNT Sales person (James T.)

My wife and I went to this dealer to purchase a 2014 Acura MDX. We came across James on the first day we went in. James reached out to us with respect and we told him what we were looking for. Unlike other sales people, James took his time to explain key features of this vehicle such as durability, safety, efficiency, and all the new features the vehicle possess. James never forced us to buy the car or strike a deal. What he did was explain the vehicle and then give us time to digest the information. Honesty: James is the most honest and truthful sales person I have ever dealt with. He will give you accurate and succinct information in reference to your transaction. He does not make any false promises to his customers just so that they can buy from him. Follow up: James will utilize all the means of communication in order to get in touch and provide you updates about your transaction. If James tells you that he will talk with the manager and get back with you, trust me he will get back with you with accurate information within a good and reasonable amount of time. Appearance: James has a welcoming appearance and it will be extremely difficult for anyone to not want to transact business with him. He does not trouble his customers about buying. His sales strategy is to transmit all the information about the vehicle and its features to the customer and let the customer decide. James is confident that Acura is a wonderful brand and therefore he explains about the vehicle with utmost confidence. Helpful: In the event of a negotiation, James will work really hard with the managers for his customers to drive out with the vehicle of their dream at a good and reasonable price. He is a bottom line person and will try his best to make the customer happy. With these exceptional features, I will always recommend any customer to see James. I am more than positive that the customer will not get disappointed. I thanks James for all the help he provided us. Keep up the good work.

A Great Car Buying Experience

My wife and I stopped by and looked at used and new Acura's on the lot. We were greeted by Antonio C. who is a pleasant and well dressed sales agent that had a genuine and sincere approach to dealing with people like us. He was great from the very beginning and introduced us to several possibilities on the used car lot. We test drove several vehicles and even took two vehicles home on different nights of the week. UNBELIEVABLE! I thought that after the first car he allowed me to take home (the Acura Hatchback ZDX) an incredible sports crossover that i fell in love with immediately, but later realized that it was not the perfect fit for my family. I left my trade on the lot and even filled up the tank in the ZDX thinking this was it. Next day i arrive back to the dealership with the ZDX and told the manager Sam that it was not the right fit. In the past I have had a dealership in Tyson's Corner almost fight me tooth and nail to return a used car I had driven off their lot the day before. I even had to call the police to assist in getting my old car back. NOT HERE! At Rosenthal Acura, and especially with Sam as manager, he treated us with respect and dignity. He said don't worry, there is no pressure to buy. He was extremely pleasant to deal with on professional level. I told my wife that no matter what, this is the people we want to buy our next car from. We continued to spend the next two hours searching for a car that fit my needs. Together we chose the best TSX on the lot and it is fair to say I am a proud owner of a used Acura TSX with only 18k miles. Sam negotiated a great payment on the car and was incredibly generous on the trade. No dealer anywhere had come close to what I was given on the 2012 Honda Civic EX with 78k. CarMax and Criswell Honda would not go over 9k, and in fact the lowest estimate was around 7k. Sam with all of his unique sales abilities gave me $12200. It was a great opportunity that I could not let slip away. We did the deal. We traded our Suburban as well and got into a lease deal on a 2014 MDX. Again, Sam came through for us and gave us a great buy offer for the Suburban that we could not turn down. Antonio was our point man for the used and new car deals. Antonio was open and friendly always looking for the right offering that met our style and payment. This evaluation would not be complete if I don't mention David the Director of Finance and Cristine who was superb in handling our paperwork and getting us out the door in a timely and efficient manner. Could say more, but I think you get the jist. It was a superb experience and i highly recommend Rosenthal Acura, and especially Antonio and Sam for being outstanding sales people who care about their customers.

Teenager's First and Amazing Car Purchase

Before we got to Rosenthal we test drove some pretty horrible cars, visited some pretty questionable used car lots and everything was sold as is because my daughter's budget was $5,000. Things were completely different at Rosenthal. At Rosenthal we test drove a 2000 Acura TL fully loaded with brand new Michelin tires, Navigation system, and seats that looked like no one ever sat in them. The car was her dream and we bought it for $4,850. It had 202K but hey it was an Acura so what could go wrong especially with a 2K/2 month engine/transmission 100% warrantee. It need to be inspected so we picked it up the next day. They put in new brakes, detailed the car and fill it with gas. We were so happy. We drove away and then a strange noise and problem happened. They gave us a loaner and told us to call the next day. The call brought us bad news it needed a new transmission. No problem they took the car back. We were devastated. We checked other dealerships and each one said any car that old should have been sold AS IS. But, Rosenthal gave us a warrantee and honored that warrantee so we decided to stick with Rosenthal. Glad we did. We were in cars for the next four weeks and my daughter was getting very discouraged. They did everything in their power to put a smile on my daughter's face because she was so disappointed. Finally a 2007 Honda Fit arrived with 102K miles. Since it needed a 100K service they did it for my daughter because they knew she was totally responsible for the maintenance of the car. They respected her for that and was impressed that she took on that responsibility. The best news is they gave and I repeat the word gave her the car for the same price as the Acura. They are truly great and compassionate people. They treated my daughter as if she was family and no matter how much training you have as a sales person you cannot fake that glitter in your eye when you are making a teenager happy. We love them. Please remember they did all of this because they are honest and also because my daughter was responsible, pleasant, and respectful. Some day she will get that Acura TL and will be from Rosenthal. So, if you have a teenager in your home and they need a car GO TO ROSENTHAL!!!
