by el_greco1 on 10/15/2013updated 08/03/2025We were a family that kept going from dealership to dealership in search of a compact SUV. After a while we knew exactly what we wanted and at what price. However, it was getting very frustrating because every dealership that we went to… kept trying to nickel and dime us for any little extra feature on the car. On top of that they would also be insincere about the total price of the car with taxes and fees, and at the end they would just refuse to sell the car at a decent price. All of that changed when we went to Pohanka Honda and had the pleasure of talking with Shavon D. Shavon was the nicest and most understanding representative that we've ever met at a car dealership. I feel bad because we walked in with a lot of bad energy, coming from previous dealerships, and we assumed that Pohanka was going to try to rip us off like the other ones. It turned out to be the complete opposite. Shavon was very polite, very professional, and she listened carefully to our needs and concerns. In the end she offered us the car that we wanted, with the features that we wanted, at the price that we wanted. Pohanka was the most reasonable dealership that we've dealt with and Shavon was the most down-to-earth representative that we've met. I highly recommend that you talk to her if you decide to visit Pohanka. She's an awesome person and she will save you both time and money.Not Your Regular Dealer!

She had served me well, but as a business owner growing her business...I had put over 200K miles on the ol' girl. She had earned her rest, but was… still going strong b/c she is a Honda. However, major things were in need of repair and I was in need of something reliable. Carlton B. helped me out in GRAND style even though I was resistant to having to have a car payment again. He worked out a great deal on a Honda Crosstour. It was the car I said I wanted if I ever decided to get out of my Odyssey. Well, with a daughter now in her 2nd year of college...the Mommy van is gone and I have something that is reliable, sleek, and what I deserve as a hard worker entrepenuer. Carl is honest and straight forward which is an oxymoron when talking about car salesman!!! The only thing I would recommend is that the dealership itself needs to stop with the Psychology 101 marketing and move people through the process quicker. More people will want to come there and purchase if they can just walk in and say, "This is what I can pay", then they dealership says, "This is what we can do within those numbers", and then close the deal!!! If more dealers would keep people in their locations for 3 hours or less...THEY WOULD SELL MORE CARS!!! Time is valuable and the one thing we control...respect it Pohanka!!! "Sabrina C" (Sales Consultant) was really helpful and she provided all the information required, After listening our requirement she offered the… best deal and in such a comfortable environment we were able to make our decision quickly, In finance department the manager was so polite and soft-spoken, I would recommend Pohanka Honda to all my near and dears as it is the best place to buy a ride. I want to thank and congratulate Pohanka Honda for having the best staff and providing the best service.
