  • This will be my forever Ford dealer

Love it here! The crew is great to me every time I come in. I've bought a car here myself and sent at least five people in the last year. Each one of them bought. I've tried the dealer in South Portland, Westbrook and Brunswick while shopping in the past and I will never give them the time of day after my experience here.

The first day we went to look at a vehicle the keys were nowhere to be found so we could not test drive. Left contact info herd nothing. I had to call and schedule a test drive left work early got a baby sitter we were planing on making an offer so my wife came. We arrive on or near time, turns out they sold the car hours earlier. Having delt with other dealers in the area I would have to say there service was by far the worst. Don't waste your time!

  • Terrible service. Stay Away!!

We went on the fordvehicles website and did a build your own Ford Escape. Casco Bay Ford had a close to identical vehicle sitting on their lot. We made an appt with Rowe Ford, and we were greeted by the sales person at the door and got undivided attention throughout our time there. They had no inventory what-so-ever so we looked through the inventory of all of the vehicles in the Boston area and this one at Casco Bay Ford was the only one close to what we wanted. We had an appt with David Searles at Casco Bay Ford. For close to two hours we were virtually ignored, even after we stated we wanted to buy the vehicle. We went there to buy and we already knew what we wanted and we had already test driven a similar model. The Escape we wanted had over 2000 miles on it and we were informed that Joe G. let his wife drive it around for a while. Casco Bay Ford was completely unwilling to negotiate pricing at all and did the whole don't leave, let me talk to my boss game. This, to me, is the sleaziest and most dishonest game in the book. After close to 3 hours of being at the dealership the county sheriff came in and served David with divorce papers. Another sales guy stepped in to assist us and we were finally offered water to drink. It shouldn't take 3 hours to be offered water. We sought out Joe G (managing partner) and expressed our discontent with him. We were able to work out pricing that both parties felt fair. Part of the agreement was that we would get rubber front and rear floor mats as as well as a rubber rear cargo mat. We were pre-approved with Bank of America for a loan with an interest rate of 2.94%. Kurt was unable to get that same interest rate through their normal processes through the same bank and tried to pressure us into a 3.5% rate. A simple follow up the following morning and Bank of America honored the 2.94% rate from the pre-approval. After close to 5 hours at the dealership, we drove off of the lot with our new vehicle. I was driving in our other car in front of my wife driving in the new Escape when I noticed that one of the fog lights on our brand new car did not work. We plan on getting this looked at Rowe Ford when we get our first oil change as we have no plans to do any further business with Casco Bay Ford. Upon the first wash of the vehicle we noticed a slight water leak in the rear window. We also plan on getting fixed at Rowe Ford. The inspection sticker on the car was set for May. We didn't purchase the vehicle until the end of June and it should have been updated to reflect the accurate time. We didn't notice this until July rolled around it was too late to do anything about it at that time. We found a Nintendo DS in the pocket of our rear seat. Being honest people, we returned it to Joe G as it belonged to his kid. It was left in there when his wife was using the vehicle. You would think they would do a thorough inspection of the vehicle before selling it. We were told it would take a week for our rubber mats to come in. Two weeks later, after a couple of phone calls, they were finally in. Brian, delivered them to us the next day. After getting home, and anxious to open my new package, I quickly realized they only got us the front and rear floor mats and did not order the rear cargo mat. After a few phone calls, we finally got a call back stating that they will order us a rear cargo mat. A couple of business days later we got a call saying our rear cargo mat was in. We thought it was weird that took so little time to get in. We setup a time to meeting a Casco Bay Ford employee at a local business as he as unfamiliar with the area and could not find our place. We received the box from him and drove home. When we got home we opened up the box to find some cheesy, aftermarket, rolled up and bent, doesn't even fit correctly, plastic rear cargo mat. The paper we have signed by them clearly says RUBBER cargo mat. We are so disgusted at this point that we given up as

I bought a car from Casco Bay Ford yesterday from a sales professional named, Ben S. What a GREAT customer based dealership. I live over 2 hours away, and like everyone, life is extremely busy. They offered to drive the car to me, and leave it so that I may have the opportunity to test drive it. We drove to the dealership early in the morning to either make a deal or return the car. I was presently surprised by how fast they and caring they are. I flew in there like a hurricane. My husband and I had to go to work in the afternoon and brought our 3 young children, 2 of them got sick on the long drive down. Needless, to say we were in a hurry. Ben, was to the point, fast and did everything he could to make sure we were satisfied. After, we settled on a price (one that is VERY reasonable) and was finishing paperwork, they cleaned the car again, and filled it up with gas. This place was defiantly worth driving over 2 hours. :) HIGHLY Recommended!!!!

  • Great people to do business with!

I have purchased several new vehicles over the years and many of these purchases were made by me when I was a single woman. Because the typical auto dealership salespersons apparently thought I was a naive idiot, they would try to bully me and treated me with little respect. Consequently, I would do all of my research and before even going into a dealership I would see what sort of people they were via the telephone and internet. My initial contact was hugely important. If they were condescending or tried to baffle my with BS, I would immediately take them off the list and tell them to have a nice day. I would also tell them the reason why I did not care to do business. However, if they passed that test, I would speak to them at length about what I was interested in and make sure that there was something I needed them to research and get back to me about. I would then wait to see what they came back with (as I already knew the answer) and how long it took. If they passed that test, I would visit the dealership. Even after that, I would go in there loaded for bear, if you will. I was complaining to a friend of mine about how much I was dreading going truck shopping. She referred me to Casco Bay Ford and said that they were great to deal with and made the purchase easy. I called and initially spoke to Debbie in internet sales. She was fantastic on the phone and followed up promptly. I ended up working with Ben S., Sales and Leasing Specialist (at the time) who was wonderful as well. Tucker the GM and their very new finance man (sorry I cannot recall his name) were also terrific. What I really liked is that they not only got back to me promptly with any questions or concerns, but if I was not in, they would leave a voice mail so we did not have to play phone tag. I have a crazy and busy schedule and nothing makes me crazier that wanting information and not being able to get it because someone is not willing to leave it, even after I gave permission to do so. I am not an easy customer. I am demanding, outspoken and can be very mistrusting if I sense something is not right. What my husband and I were looking for in a truck was very specific and everyone in this dealership worked together to find us the right vehicle. I cannot say enough good about them. I have recommended them to several people I know of who are or will be in the market for a vehicle shortly. As far as we are concerned, Casco Bay Ford has our business from now on. They actually made an often times demoralizing experience pleasant and fun. Great people, great teamwork, great dealership. Others should take lessons from them. Thank you and WE LOVE OUR TRUCK!

Went online to search Transit Connects throughout area and found one at Casco Bay Ford in their New Car Inventory. Made the trip up and spoke to some menacing guy with a ball cap about the vehicle. Twice he went to "talk" to the desk about the van in question finally, after about 20 agonizing minutes, came over to us and explained that it was a "mis-print" online, that those vehicles list for more $$ that that etc... I walked out-but not before telling him to fix his website. It's the oldest trick in the book and I fell for it! I suppose even if I had called they would have baited me in there- they ALL do it, bottom feeding [violative content deleted]! One star ONLY for the kindly gent who spoke with us while we waited for what seemed like HOURS!
