Have used service department several times. Last time on recall on my f150. Left truck over night because they had to order parts. They had truck fixed next day like they said they would. I was very happy with work they did. I have my truck serviced there and never been disappointed. Will continue using service department.

I requested a recall service and TSB13-12-12 be performed on my vehicle after experiencing intermittent stalling after a warm start on three separate occasions. Research indicated this was often misdiagnosed with erroneous codes being generated from faulty wiring splices. I confirmed services could be performed prior to drop off. After 24 hours, I provided the Ford TSB documentation with instructions for the tech, who was unsure how to proceed with the request. 48 hours later I'm informed the tech ran an unauthorized scan and suggested a repair but has not performed the requested services. I was quoted over $700 and declined service, advising AGAIN that the TSB needed to be performed prior to looking into repairs. TSB calls for 1.4 hrs labor on 1.6L with no additional charges for repair and I was quoted $317, less if no repair necessary and vehicle would be ready the next day, on Friday. SUV was ready Monday, price jumped to $440 with no repair needed, due to increased labor charge and taxes.I disputed and then it was $399, I asked for details considering the TSB included the labor required then the price went down to $314. When I reviewed the invoice, it did not mention the TSB but showed suggested repair for code declined, I wouldn't accept invoice as is and requested revision from Cashier who took it back to the advisor. The revision was unacceptable as it stated customer request TSB13-12-12. The TSB does not apply to VIN. No repair necessary. The cashier suggested I speak to the advisor, and upon my approach he informs me that the tech actually performed a repair on the wiring harness splice. I asked for the invoice to show the TSB completed and repair performed, he stated the ticket was closed and requested to just write a note. I declined, preferring it reflected in the system accurately for assurances. He reluctantly revised the invoice, handed me a copy, and walked away from his desk. I reviewed it at the Cashier window and it showed Customer request TSB13-12-12 Perform. Not valid for VIn, No repair necessary, Customer declined service which is clearly fuel pressure sensor was added. I waited for him to return and requested a correction for clarification. After the invoice was paid, the car didn't start, once they jumped it, the wipers would slightly move when started and now the Check Engine light was on. The service manager stated the battery voltage was low, and the light was destined to come on because the suggested repair was not performed. The shop was closing, so he cleared the code, I informed him that I anticipated the SUV to perform as it did prior to dropoff and did not expect it not to start or the light to now be on. On the return home, my companion who was following me called to advise that there was white smoke now coming from the exhaust, it appeared to have cleared about 8 miles out. The next morning the light returned, and the car performed as usual until that evening when it left us stranded out of town on the way to pick up from an auction. I believe the tech began to repair the vehicle without prior authorization and then when it was not granted just threw it back together worsening the condition, it is evident the wipers were removed and reinstalled incorrectly. The suggested repair was performed on 1/30 and another fault code generated which has also been repaired. It has been 24 hours since the last code. This experience was traumatic, my stomach was upset, I was nauseous, couldn't sleep, still gun shy to be in the vehicle and lost over $600 worth of valuable supplies when I couldn't make the pick up. Ultimately this should have been a simple exchange, my request was clear and trust was broken once services not requested were begun without authorization, costs kept fluctuating without any viable explanation, inaccurate documentation on invoice with resistance to revise, worsening of prior symptoms and new symptoms surfacing after drop off.

Said vehicle needed new park break brake switch and this switch had been replaced two other times, thankfully this third switch worked. The fact that the two switches that did not work were not of the dealership but manufacture of the switch. Vehicle also need an oil change and was completed timely.

Appointment was scheduled for 2:00pm, to replace 2 tires. The service was not completed for 2 hours!!!! I like the dealership and service department, however, something was not right on this date. Should not take that long to chance 2 tires!

  • Dutch's does not honor warranty.

1 out of 5 starsby Rhondaever on 07/02/2024

Dutch's does not honor their lifetime power train warranty. My 79 year old mother purchased a used car in 2021 and was told that as long as she had it oil changed and serviced at Dutch's there was a lifetime power train warranty. In June 2023 car had a problem with the internal clutch and Dutch's would not honor the warranty. Oil had been changed 2 times and driven less than 9000 miles since purchase. Owners manual says oil changes due every 7500-10000 miles. It was changed there 2 times and we went by the service stickers they put in the car each time it was serviced. They don't honor their warranties. We were not given any paperwork with warranty guidelines. Very poor customer service and very poor business practices. I had to give 1 star on each rating but my rating would have been zero stars.

  • Cost more due to damages caused by tech

2 out of 5 starsby Cantrell on 06/12/2023

Went for a simple oil change and tire rotation. The tech that did it ruined the lug nuts by using wrong size socket and I had to buy the knew lug nuts that cost me $100. I have to take there for warranty to be valid but have had there 4 times and they have broken something 3 of the 4 times they worked on it.. it always cost me more than it should.

  • Oil Change

5 out of 5 starsby Catgirl on 07/31/2020

Service for my car was fine. Disappointed to see none of the workers inside were wearing masks as well as in the garage area which I understand more so than those in the building.

  • F-150

5 out of 5 starsby Rescuesue on 03/23/2019

While traveling from NC to IN, we stopped in Mount Sterling, KY last night. When we got ready to leave our hotel this morning, we noticed an antifreeze leak in our F-150. Google maps said we were 1.4 miles from Dutch’s Ford. We pulled up there and explained our problem. They took our truck RIGHT in, diagnosed the problem and had us repaired and back on the road in less than an hour. They were absolutely wonderful!! And our mechanic, Kyle, is our new hero! Texas cowboys “ain’t got nothing” on our Kentucky mechanic!! And we give God all the glory for allowing this to happen when, where & how it did!! 🙏🌟
