Great Experience!!
by THug on 08/18/2017I recently purchased a 2017 Chevy Cruze from Harold Chevrolet and was very happy with how I was treated through the entire process. Cody Taylor answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable about the car and the available… programs, plus he helped to make the financing and paperwork process relatively pain-free. I will definitely go back to Harold Chevrolet the next time I go shopping for a new or used car.Out-of-state buyers, beware!
by kentucky7 on 02/13/2016I never cease to be amazed by how some companies work so hard to get a new customer, and then seem to go out of their way to turn them into an ex-customer. That's Harold Chevrolet. Everything went well up to the sale. Then, it turned into a… MAJOR hassle. Here's the story: We found the car on the Internet and negotiated a good price, making it worth the four-hour drive out-of-state. Before we left, we contacted our county clerk so that we could follow the exact procedures for titling the car back once we got back to Kentucky. When we purchased the car, we gave Cody at Harold Chevrolet a title application form from Kentucky which they are required to sign and have notarized. Simple...we thought. When we received the old Indiana title and other documents in the mail from Harold Chevrolet, they had neglected to sign the form--they sent it back blank and unsigned. I contacted the dealership and emailed the Kentucky form to Cody again with explicit instructions. Sign it and have a notary sign it. This time, he mailed it back with ONE signature--still not notarized. We called Cody, and he argued with us that we had everything we needed. He spent more time arguing with us than it would have taken to just sign and notarize the form. So we took it to our county clerk anyway. But it was not acceptable, and my wife spent an hour at the county clerk's office, haggling with Cody over the phone while he argued more, ineptly sent the form to the wrong fax number and then texted it to the wrong number. Finally, he topped it all off with this disrespectful statement to my wife, "OK, I'm going to send it one more time, but this is the last time." As if all his incompetence and his failure to comply with Kentucky law was inconvenienceing HIM instead of us! No one talks to my wife like that. He and the dealership owe us an apology. We finally got the Kentucky title, but what a hassle thanks to Cody. Also, we still have one other after-the-sale problem...our salesperson promised he would sent a owner's manual for the car, but a month later, we still don't have it. Biggest hassle I've ever had buying a car!
