by Dan on 12/01/2023Tim did an excellent job with my service needs overall ! Ultimate professionalHonest, quick service
by Paula on 08/18/2023I have always been given an honest service checkup here. We’ve all been to places that locate “problems” with exorbitant prices. This place explains everything and gives a fair price. The service personnel are always polite and my car is… ready when promised.

by Marcus on 09/07/2017Had a conversation with a manager by the name of mark. Scheduled a appointment , he never showed very rude and non caring over the phone so I guess For my company will never by from there againCertification Fraud
by gmanzx3 on 08/15/2017Purchased a Certified Used Toyota from this dealership. Certification process includes a 160 point inspection that checks entire vehicle, replaces fluids/filters, and ensures vehicle is in good working order. You pay extra for a certified… vehicle and should feel confident that you are purchasing a vehicle that has been "looked over" by a Toyota mechanic. Well, after I didn't receive certification documentation with my sale, I decided to look over the vehicle myself. Many of the checklist items were not completed (old oil, dirty filters, old wiper blades, missing console cup holders, etc). This indicated that NONE of the checklist was accomplished. A call to Toyota USA confirmed that they had no record of the inspection. A formal complaint was filed with Toyota USA and the dealership was supposed to respond to my claim. After several calls and emails (from myself and a Toyota USA rep), I was ultimately ignored by the dealership. You can not trust this dealership. I would look elsewhere to purchase a new or used Toyota.best car dealer

Horrible Service when Dealership is needed
by michaeld on 07/12/2017I purchased my second straight Toyota Highlander from Thomas Toyota. I have spent $40,000.00 plus each time. I have referred 5 customers that also purchased from the dealership. The first time I have a major issue, the Dealership and… Manufacturer turn and snub me. I am a 53 year old male not a kid. I was entering a destination in my GPS on a hot day. Somehow the screen cracked and now of course has spread. I called Thomas of Toyota who had the service manager John look at it. This person literally took 3 minutes and created his own self judgement that this was impact damage. Implied that I was lying. he took a simple cell phone picture and e mailed this to what is supposed to be a regional manager of Toyota. His name is Dan. Who judged that this was impact damage without even viewing the actual vehicle. The judgement was made on his part that this is my problem not theirs. I run a business in Naperville. If i gave my clients that type of service, I WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. They have now lost a lifetime Toyota customer and earned my very bad word of mouth......enjoyable environment
by kikiscreen on 04/22/2017As my first time car-shopping experrience, I was terrified with all horrible car dealer stories before going there. However, I proved it wrong with Thomas Toyota Joliet. The salesman, Allen Salazar, was very nice person, and more… importantly, very knowledgeable and very patiently answering every questions we had. Moreover, no pressure to us to buy is the key of our shopping experience really enjoyable, so that we can make better decision for our new car. Thank you Thomas Toyota Joliet, and I hope that other people can enjoy our good experience, too in buying car in your place.Great Experience Buying a Used Car
by Eric_R_C on 01/05/2017Thomas Toyota worked out great for me. Salesman Matt made the experience personable, fun and informative. He made me feel comfortable with no pressure and made sure I drove off the lot that day with the car I wanted. It was a fun and… memorable experience!Never again
by msmith1111 on 12/05/2016THis is the 2nd time I have had a bad experience there. This time they advertised a car at a price and miles that was under everyone else in the market. They emailed me 3 days in a row, and when I called 30 minutes before walking in it was… still available.I get there and it 'just sold". Classic bait and switch. 6 hours later it's still on their site and cars.com.We are sorry your experience was was not a positive one. I urge you to please call 708-712-4751 and speak with Mike Gors, General Manager. Cars that sell the same day, because of computer systems, reset at 12 am. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Great service, honest people, amazing car
by fyonna09 on 09/22/2016I seriously can't believe how great the service was here! For the 1st time in my life, I felt that the staff & salesmen were honest people trying to help me and NOT scam artists trying to get me to buy the wrong car. A really kind (and… patient) young man by the name of Anastacio Salazar (AKA Junior) was super helpful. I told him my budget and he actually did everything he could to keep me within my means. He made the whole thing such a great experience. Apparently, they're one of the 1st dealers to roll out a service in which you're presented with the best possible price upfront and don't have to negotiate down to a reasonable number. This is amazing for anyone who is not good at negotiating, or just doesn't want to have to fight for a good price! I got a brand new 2016 Corolla and it was hooked up (especially for the price I paid). Fog lights, tail, Bluetooth, rims, door protector...the works! I thought I was going to have to drive off the lot with the most basic car but they worked their magic to give me something I was actually excited about. I would highly recommend this place!Hi Fyonna We are thrilled to hear you were so pleased with your purchase. Our team works hard to ensure our customers a positive experience. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to work with you again in the future! Michael Gors

by StephenAndLynn on 11/11/2014Having bought and leased cars for many years, and being from New Jersey, we have had our share of bad experiences. We were gratefully and pleasantly surprised at the "no pressure" approach at Thomas Toyota. They were very open and up front… with all costs and went out of their way to help us get the car we wanted within our budget. We test drove 4 different models and they trusted us to sleep on the sale and return the next day. It was this level of trust and patience that won us over. We will be returning to Thomas for all future purchases.Loved the Sales Team
by prius101 on 08/19/2014The sales team, especially the sales person Mr. S., helped us tremendously! All the sales persons were helpful and kind - and not overbearing and pushy. I found that the staff were well educated on their products and very thorough on their… explanations.Great dealer
by dantacoma on 07/29/2009Very pleased with the entire car buying experience at Thomas Toyota. We had been to several other dealers and had gotten quite the run around. Thomas Toyota was great, and they actually give a free lifetime powertrain warranty on all of… their vehicles!Worst Car Dealer ever !!!
by silkniles26 on 07/05/2009Thomas Toyota Joliet can be easily proclaimed the worst dealer of USA. They have some real [violative content deleted] salesmen and managers, who are nothing else than a bunch of [violative content deleted]. Before buying this Honda CRV… from them, which I saw in "cars.com", I first checked with BBB, if Thomas Toyota is an accredited dealer or not, and found them there. I also thought that since this is a big group, which deals with new Toyota, Nissan and Scion cars, they will be a reliable dealer to buy a car. I wont need a mechanic to get the car verified. THAT was my BIGGEST mistake. I am a total amateur with cars, so I always had it in my mind that I will buy a used car from a big dealer, not from a private party or from small road side car dealers. When I found this Honda CRV wth 130,000 miles, I first called them, and booked it for $500 dollars deposit using my credit card, so that they do not sell it to others. It seemed perfect to me, as it was from a big dealer, and second, the price was good. When I met the salesman (Mr. Mike Resnick), the next day, He said the car is in a superb condition and will easily go for next 100,000 miles without any problem. Infact, the "Check Engine Light" was on, while I was buying the CRV, but, he said, it was due to faulty fuel cap and it can be changed for less than 50 bucks. The car had a kicking feeling, for which he told that it was due to the muffler, which can again be changed for a meager amount. I totally beleived him and that was my biggest mistake. Actually I never suspected any foul play with them, since they are big dealers. I bought the car for 4500 dollars. Within a week, I bought this car, the whole picture changed. I just went to a reputed workshop in Chicago, to fix this kicking feeling out of the car, by changing the muffler, and they said the car is in real bad condition. They added that If I dont get rid of it, nobody will pay me a dime for this car, in a month, as the motor will die very soon. I was in a total shock, and I returned back to them in exact 7 days. It needed a repair for more than $4000 to change valves and major engine parts. In exact 7 days, I returned to the dealer, and told them I cannot take this car back as it is a total Rip-off. But, they argued that its a "As-Is" and will give less value to the car, if I do a trade-in. I retaliated and said it is just 7 days, I bought the car. After much arguing, they finally agreed to give only $2500 dollars. RIDICULOUS !!! as a Trade-In !!! Thats straight 2000 dollars loss in 7 days. Moreover, in the bill, they mentioned that they added only the esential taxes and charges. But what I later observed, is they added a Keypod of 400 dollars, which I never asked for. I never received that and still calling them regarding this. So I am stuck right now with this huge 2000 dollars loss, with nothing much to help myself. I am just a Grad student and always wanted to buy a cheap old car so as to meet my basic convience needs. But this whole incident that I came across while buying my first car from Thomas Toyota can be easily termed as one of my worst experiences in my life. I sincerely pray Thomas Toyota to be doomed and bankrupt as soon as it can be.BOZO"S CIRCUS IS STILL PLAYING
by grub5 on 02/01/2009I purchased A new F J Cruiser first Toyota I have ever bought. Had the car 5 days and windshield cracked stress carck. Brought it Thomas Toyota they said no problem they would order it. Called me a few days later I dropped it off the night… before. Picked it up next day they had a Butcher work on it trim was bent wavey and had thumb dent in it, windnoise and bottom piece of metal on hood was flapping around, also had scrathed the paint in several places on the roof. I complained to the Service Mang. he said he would order it and bring it back when they get the part. Called me a few days later dropped it off the night before. Picked it up next day bottom piece of metal not even close to being aligned and roof was touched up with a brush looked BAD. I went back the a few days later and spoke manager of the dealership to let him know what was going on in his dealership. He had me drop it off the next Monday and gave me a loaner. I stopped by 3 days later and found it sitting in front of the dealership.I spoke to the Service Mang. he said they now had to order the metal piece on the hood now and in the process of getting that piece out they now scratched the hood. Its been there 3 times now and has gotten scratched all three times. Now three differant places have to be painted and I wont get it back till next week. Who knows what it will look like then. I thought Toyota meant quality and the people servicing them.2005 Prius Service
by pvandrew on 07/02/2008I took my Prius in for an oil change, and since I had 105,000 miles in the car and had been hearing a scraping noise like the brake indicator pin when I applied the brakes, told the service guy I needed a brake job. He told me that the… Prius was good on brakes and he didn't think so. He said they would inspect the brakes. Forty five minutes later he imerged telling me that the brakes were fine and if I continued to have a problem we could go for a test drive. After leaving I noticed when I applied the brakes the noise was gone, must have been brake dust build-up after 105,000 miles. This was my first expierence with their service department and I would return.Ridiculous Service Time/Things still not fixed
by notsatisfied on 03/05/2008After test driving a Dodge Ram we noticed that they were things that needed to fixed. 1. seatbelt light dinging, 2 shaking, 3 back seat loose 4 wheel alignment. They assured us that they would... This was Saturday night. I brought the car… back Monday morning and gave them the list of things to be fixed. I left the car there. On Wednesday, the service guy said everything was fixed except for the seat belt?!!! They would need to get this fixed through their Dodge place, but wasn't sure if they could get the car up there on Thursday. I told him, I'll take the car my self to the dodge place. Come to find out they didnt do the alignment and here we are driving on the highway! Well the car has been there for 3 days and it is still not fixed!!! Now it is suppose to go through a safety inspection and you mean to tell me, that you you sell something without the safety belts not properly working. Then they lied and said that oh dodge was to do the alignment when they fixed the seat belt, well how would they know fix the alignment when it was suppose to be fixed in Joliet! The General Manger didnt even check the computer nor call Orland to see if they were suppose to fix it. Then they are trying not to give me my money back for a car and it is been there pretty much since I brought it!!! Never will I go here for a car!No Lies
by dustr77 on 08/03/2007Last month my husband and I were thinking about purchasing the camry hybrid. So we stopped at Thomas Toyota of Joliet. We walked in just wanting to get information and compare the camry hybrid to the Saturn Hybrid. Our sales person was… wonderful new on the job was very honest with us. When doing the numbers we found out that the car would not be in our price range. The dealership told us honestly and even lowered the price big time to try to get us to purchase the car. We didn't end up with a new car at this time but, if I ever have the chance to purchase a new car it will be at Thomas Toyota of Joliet !! They gave me better pricing than Edmunds TMV and we're willing to work with us. Plus they understood that we're a working class family just trying to get a little bit a head. Never felt pushed or like they had to make us leave with a car!!! This has been the best dealership I've ever been too and I do a ton of research prior to any purchase. I've purchased two new cars in the last 7 years and have gone to a lot of dealerships and I swear this is the best Dealership of all!!!!!! From Chicago to Orland!! Thank you Thomas Toyota!!!! We need more dealerships like Thomas!!!
