max and scott is fraud stay away!!!!!!!
by real786 on 02/06/2015spoke to Max about the 2010 Corvette ZR1 discuss the car.. Max stated the car is perfect no paint work or accident. I said ok then we agreed at $65000. Upon arrival I see the passenger side have massive paint work even the passenger… headlight was not put back together properly.. Showed everything to Max and his finance manager Scott and everything in there eyes looked perfect.. I gave them 2 options A. that I give you the check and drive the car to my place and get it inspected and if my mechanic finds that it has a severe body damage then i return the car the next day. Option B... Dempsey dodge take the car to Chevrolet and get the inspection faxed over to me.. so me and Scott agreed to option B. After a week goes by they call me and tell me that we have the car up on our lift and our mechanics will do inspection and send you the report and I said to Scott that me and you never agreed to this and his reply was is the same thing.. Aftergoing through hell I told Scott cancel the transactions and refund my deposit $3500 and his response was that I will not refund your deposit. I told him its illegal to do that and he said he doesn't care... SO GUYS BE CAREFUL THIS IS A SHADY DEALERSHIP AND I WILL NOT GIVE THEM A $1 BUSINESS.. AND I WILL GET MY DEPOSIT BACK BY DISPUTING WITH CREDIT CARD.. THESE GUYS ARE [non-permissible content removed] STAY AWAYYYYYYYYYYDishonesty from Owner to Salesperson
by jpower74 on 08/19/2009I was contacted by salesperson Jim Sanders, who wanted to buy a car that I had advertised for sale. The dealership owner and general manager, Tom Dempsey, called me back and offered to pay me 14,000 if the vehicle was in the condition… advertised. Sanders called me back, and assured me that they "would honor the 14,000 offer that Tom made". After driving an hour to get to the dealership, they made me wait for an hour and a half. Sanders and his sales manager drove the vehicle and found it to be as represented. Sanders then proceeded to try to tell me that the vehicle was worth 2,000 less then the dealer wholesale price (11,000 to 12,000 $). He repeatedly lied. Tom Dempsey lied. They baited and switched. When the owner of a business is dishonest, I guess it is only natural for his employees, like Jim Sanders, to be completely dishonest. I would never let anybody I know do business with these [violative content deleted]!!!Our 3rd vehicle purchase in 6 years from Dempsey.
by h20werker on 04/11/2009This dealership has our full confidence as a quality dealer. The sales staff is professional and personable. The Service department is dependable and also goes to great lengths to provide a high level of service. I posted a note under… service as 5 star service department and deserve ALL 5 stars. The Dempsey team pulled thru for a 3rd time so far. The Service department is, of course, the ace up their sleeve. Our latest purchase was an 06 Jeep Commander and a few loose ends need to be tied up with per our contract. Paint and scratches will be buffed out, we need another key, a manual needs to be supplied and a few other small items. After everything has been addressed I will post another reply. We do wish that the inventory was a little more stocked so they are slightly limited there. I'm sure that this poor economy has something to do with that. They do have a clean heated garage to show new models and also for discussing a purchase with a desired vehicle from the lot so they the buying experience is more desirable. The showroom is somewhat small as it can only accommodate 2 or 3 vehicles but the area in the garage outshadows that deficiency. The facilty is clean, a recent facelift has been applied. There are plenty of back roads to take a spin and for the most part drive without having to worry about traffic control devices and stop signs. The waiting area in Service is being updated and the Service Area is CLEAN![violative content deleted]
by dempseysucks on 03/16/2009Went in on January 31st, 2009 to purchase a vehicle. The vehicle was being shipped in from Michigan, I had to put down $500 for the shipment, and was told delivery would be on Monday. My fiance and I took off work, only to be called at 2 pm… on Monday and told that the vehicle wouldn't be their till Wednesday because they never got the checks ready for the other dealership. I canceled my purchase then. I had my credit card company dispute the $500 deposit for the shipping and still have yet to receive that money back. When I called them on March 13 for a copy of the contract I signed, they said they would fax it right over. When I called back today to see where the fax was, I was told they weren't going to fax it and was hung up on TWICE, by Mike the Manager of Sales, the Finance Manager, whatever corporate name he is going by now. Needless to say, lawyers are now being involved, and all over $500. It has now come to the principal of the matter. To be hung up on when trying to receive a document that they have to legally provide you is just ridiculous!100% Satisfaction Guaranteed
by acmtwin1 on 09/19/2008After visiting a few other dealers, we were told to go to this dealer by a few of our friends. They were right about this place. FORGET about all the other Jeep Dealers in the area. If you want the best customer service, price,… financing, etc. this is the 1st place and last place that you will need to go to. I am going to tell all my friends and family to pass along the word that this is the TOP NOTCH dealership in the area and that is worth every extra mile of driving to get to. Thanks to the entire bunch at Demsey in Plano, IL.
