Great Reputation=Trustworthy Buying Experience!
by Christian on 11/15/2024My car was hit and totaled, so I needed a good, new car fast. I know exactly what I want in a car, so I am picky, and not usually willing to budge. I sometimes hate car shopping because a lot of dealerships are pushy and are trying to… convince to get something you don't want. I found a great car online and sent a message, and Rick Ridings responded the very next day. I was comforted to know that they don't sell vehicles that have been in accidents, and that they inspect vehicles very carefully. Their good community reputation also gave me confidence that I would have a good experience. My agent, Kevin Briggs, was very helpful. I was in another state, and he did everything possible to make sure I knew exactly what I was buying. He was honest, and he did not push me or try to steer me in certain directions like other salesmen do. I knew he would have my best interests in mind. The quality of the vehicle with the price of it was a rare find and I'm so glad I found it! I highly recommend Rick Ridings and Kevin Briggs.Bree Levy and everyone were so knowledgeable and helpful!

Bree and the employees at Rick Ridings were very knowledgeable and helpful. I was very happy with the deal they came up with for my 2024… Hyundai Tucson. All paperwork was signed and ready to go. I was out the door in 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend Rick Ridings to my friends and anyone buying a new car. Thank you Bree and everyone at Rick Ridings!

I had a slew of issues that was out of the dealerships control and they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. This dealership is fair, honest, and they genuinely… care about the customer more then they care about how much money you are spending. I'm so impressed with their service that I will be purchasing all my future vehicles from here. We knew this would be our first place to look when we were ready to buy a new vehicle.… Our salesman, Hoppy, was great to work with. We looked at quite a few vehicles and test drove a few taking a lot of our salesman's time, with no feeling rushed or pushed to decide at all. The selection of vehicles was tremendous, and their prices were very competitive! We had looked-up the vehicles we were interested in, prior to coming out to the dealership. That is how we knew the pricing was excellent and was very competitive. The buying process was easy and we got a great rate on our Ford Certified vehicle. We will definitely be buying our vehicles from Rick Ridings in the future and we will always ask for Hoppy. We had dealt with several dealerships in the Springfield area previously and this is by far the very best experience we've either one ever had buying a vehicle. by ledzep56 on 10/31/2007I want to go throw lemons out aqt their dealership. They sold me a 2001 Ford Focus zx3 with a turbo charger. The person who installed the turbo had no idea what they were doing; it hadn't been tuned properly. Rick Ridings used the turbo oil… catch to catch the oil that was coming out of the blown pistons so that I wouldn't see it. The repairs have cost be over 7 grand and ricki ridings told me, one day after I got the car, that I had blown the engine. For the love of all that is holy, do not shop her. Just a bunch of [violative content deleted].Larry will get you the car you want

They said they would cover 50% of the part and service however my cost was still higher than… that of an independent shop. The sales staff are only out to make a buck and do not care about their customers.Great Job, Great Car, Great Dealership!
by sacnetgeek on 08/30/2011updated 08/04/2025I saw a Hyundai Tuscon online, and I sent an email asking if they could do better on the price. I received a call from Rich Wentz about ten minutes later. We talked about the Tuscon, and made an appointment. I went in the next day to drive… it, and it was a pretty decent little SUV, but Rich could tell I didn't love it. We talked about what I needed in a vehicle, how I was going to use it, how long I was going to keep it, all kinds of stuff that I didn't think he needed to know, but when were done he showed me a Kia Sorento that fit everything I needed. I drove it, loved it, and the next day my wife and I bought it! A couple of days later the check engine light came on, and even though I bought it as-is, he had me come in, and they fixed the problem, an O2 sensor. I paid for the part, they paid for the labor, which I thought was more than fair. I've sent two people there who loved my Sorento, and they both tell me they had just as good of an experience I did. When it's time to replace my wife's car, I know where I'm going!
About our dealership
I also recently purchased a used vehicle from Rick Ridings Ford(RickRidings.com) to which they assured me on two occasions "there were no mechanical problems" and listed the only 2 repairs they had made, in detail. One day after leaving lot, it looks like we could have a serious ($$$)engine problem. Waiting to hear back from them to see how they handle the situation. I hope they handle ethically with the honesty they assured me of when I was there. I have an attorney waiting in the wings just in case, although I'd like to think they are genuine and will handle the situation as it should be handled. But if not, consumers have a much stronger voice thanks to the internet, social media, newspaper ads, review sites such as these, better business bureau and the list goes on. An unhappy customer can be very expensive. I'm holding out hope that they handle ethically for now.
