  • Never shopping Honda of Valdosta again

I was in a car accident last year and was in bad need of a used car that was good on gas with affordable monthly payments as I am a college student. My boyfriend and I pulled into Langdale Honda of Valdosta hoping to take a look at some used cars but I was in no mood to test drive unless I just loved a particular car. We came in on the New side and parked and got out and made the mistake of looking in the direction of the new Honda Fits. The first salesman, Michael, a [violative content deleted] came out to greet us and it was just very awkward. We told him our situation and told him we could NOT afford a NEW car and were not in the market to buy one. Shortly after, another salesman claiming to be a manager, came out and spoke right over Michael. He really fit the look of a sleezy car salesman... bad teeth, a unibrow... bad jokes, "How did you like the Fit? Did it... fit?!" (Awkward laugh) Somehow we caved and decided to drive one of the new Fits. After we got back, I really just wanted to get to the Used side and look at what they had over there. They ushered us inside and put us in one of their offices and wanted information... I knew this game, put you in a room, make you wait them out til they came back with "GOOD NEWS"... I am claustrophobic so I left the room many times to see what Michael was doing... and I was escorted back to the room. During the time I was out of the room I witnessed other younger guys talking down to Michael and jumping in front of him to do things. There was no respect amongst dealers. It was every man for himself and they didn't even try to hide it. Finally my boyfriend and I, after 30 minutes of sitting and only looking at one car--one i didn't want, got up and told Michael we were leaving that we still had other places to visit. For the next 2 weeks, I got a call every other night (the first night at 9:00) from Michael asking if I had thought anymore on the Fit. I finally saved the number so I would know it was him and I quit answering. After I finally purchased a used Honda at a FORD dealership in town from a guy named Chris (who was very kind and worked with me and did not PUSH any car on me), Michael called one last time to which I just answered "I bought a car already thanks." and hung up. I never got a call again. Now my boyfriend is shopping for a used Honda and we are refusing to shop in Valdosta. We've driven as far as Orlando and Tallahassee just because we had such an aggravating, unproductive experience.

  • Aweful and Disrespectful

I was told on a Wednesday night the dealership had 2 of the vehicle I wanted. On Thursday morning after driving and hour and a half, I discovered they had previously sold the last vehicle. The salesman had not been offering me an actual vehicle, but offering to "trade" for one from an undisclosed location. I was asked to put money down on a vehicle I could not see, drive nor know the location or mileage of. I attempted to leave the dealership to drive to [another dealership] at which point I was informed that that other dealer had no Honda Fit's on the lot. The salesman Charlie said he had called [the other dealership] to verify that they had none. Billy at [the other dealership] called my cell phone at just that moment to tell me he had one white and one blue Fit on the lot. I was again lied to by the Valdosta dealership. As I attempted to drive off the lot, the general manager and salesman hounded me at my car windows as I tried to pull away. I was lied to, treated with disrespect and physically hounded at Langdale Honda in Valdosta. This dealership will not only use the standard car salesmen tactics, but will lie to your face repeatedly. This dealership was so awful I paid more money for the same vehicle at another dealership.
