  • Consistent excellence

5 out of 5 starsby wordtothewise on 10/11/2014

I have several vehicles that I bring here for service and each visit has been marked by the consistent excellence of my advisor and the service provided. Howard Peyton was my advisor on my last visit and from greeting to delivery he made sure I had a "peerless" experience!
  • Best Staff and dealer to buy a car

5 out of 5 starsby meldeiry on 10/08/2014

We recently purchased a vehicle from Auto Nation (Toyota Highlander). The experience was the best. We dealt with several other dealers over the years. this by far was the most pleasant smooth experience. Ishmael Cross, our sales person, did a fabulous job serving us and making sure all commitments are honored and that we are happy buyers. Go buy a car from them.
  • Best Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had

5 out of 5 starsby TerryCH on 10/01/2014

I was dreading buying a car. I've purchased four cars in the past and each purchase was a painful experience. The salesmen have many tricks to pad the price of the car. An honest, upfront price seems impossible to find. I read all the online help sites for car buying to help arm myself for the battle. For this purchase, I had been in contact with the internet sales people at eight dealers. All of them were giving me the run-around, not giving me the out-the-door price I requested or coming in ridiculously high. Ishmael C. at AutoNation came in with a price lower than anyone else's. So much lower that I thought he was hiding fees. He wasn't. The out-the-door price he gave me in his first email was the price I paid for the car. No one at the dealership, including financing, tried to add any fees or extras. I will not dread my next car purchase if I can go back to AutoNation. If I move (we are Air Force) I will look for another AutoNation and hope it operates with the honesty and courtesy of this one.

My wife and I recently began the process of searching for a new vehicle. During that time we came across AutoNation of Thornton Rd. Joseph F. was very helpful with our questions and more than willing to help us out. He was not pushy! I would highly recommend him and this dealership!

  • The place to go to buy a car

    5 out of 5 starsby cking3 on 07/22/2014

This is the place to go to buy cars. My husband and I are educated buyers and shopped three full days before coming to AutoNation the fourth day (and after a lot of research on the internet as well). We negotiated 4 other deals (which we walked away from due to price) before coming to AutoNation and visited countless more dealerships on top of that. These professionals (especially Gary {sales} and Karrie {finance}) were prompt, knowledgeable, and honest. Nobody tried to sell us snake oil and everyone negotiated fairly. In the end we got a price that was nearly $2000 below the AVERAGE PRICE PAID by most buyers (NOT the MSRP). We spent two hours only negotiating at most other places whereas we were able to walk off the lot with a new car in about as much time at AutoNation. We probably got a better deal than 80-90% of other buyers in the market for this car (2014 toyota prius c) and we got a fabulous interest rate of 1.9% (great for a first time car buyer). I highly recommend this dealership. They are truly a cut above the rest.
  • Great Experience and no games

5 out of 5 starsby Thecoachchris on 07/12/2014

Was in the market for a new Corolla and I emailed various dealers. Ishmael C. responded with a price none of the other dealers could beat. He was great through out the process. I was expecting a bait and switch but nope they honored their offer and they deliver the car at the price promised. When I went to pick up the car with my son, who the car was for Ishmael took the time to go over the car, the warranty, the maintenance, lemon law, how to work things, etc. When he went to put my son in the car saw it wasn't cleaned to his satisfaction, Ishmael took the car to the prep area and had it fixed. He then went over how things worked and made sure my son had the phone hooked up with the car. My son was treated like a million bucks. He drove off smiling. Will P., the finance manager, was straight forward and efficient. Got everything done and worked with my credit union to make sure the loan got through. I will definitely be back when I'm in the market in the future. I will also tell all my friends to make the drive down to them.
    • Thanks so much for your feedback. Our greatest goal is for all our customers to feel that way when they drive away. If there is anything else we can do for you, please give us a call. Safe (and fun) driving, and we hope your son is loving the new car!

  • 30,000 Mile Service

2.4 out of 5 starsby saintfan on 04/12/2010

I'm an owner of a 2008 C/Solar purchased at Lithia Springs/Thornton Rd location. Over the past couple of years I have had good to very good customer service and support at this location. This past Saturday, April 10th I took my car in for my 30,000 mile maintenance and was not impressed with the service I received. The person in the service department that attended my car was not friendly, there was no greeting, and once I told him what I was there for he gave me minimal information on what was going to be included in the charge. Once my car was ready, I went out to my car with the person that drove it out of the service department becasue I wanted to see how he was going to replace my air filter. While approaching my car I noticed a large "black" stain on my drop top. I informed that person and he said he would take it out back and have the stain removed. He proceeded to replacing the filter and upon completion took the car back and got it cleaned. I went back in to speak with the service person, but he was not at his desk, but I wanted to let him know that he show have been the one to inspect my car upon arrival and departure from the service area to ensure the car came out the same way it went in. As I went to check out the cashier asked me to verify my information on the invoice had someone else's address listed. I told the cashier that I had verified my address when I checked my car in. She proceeded to write my address on a piece of paper. I told her that I would a new invoice printed with my correct address. She snapped and said, "Well I'm going to have to call you back up in a minute". This is my problem, I was there approx. 2hrs. paid $375.+, received bad service, and still I have to wait becasue someone didn't do their job right the first time. I would hope that whomever is reading this review is a take charge type of individual that will understand that we as customers can go anywhere for service. Customers usually return when they are satified with your service and is treated with respect.
  • THEY ARE LUCKY THEY ARE SELLING A GOOD BRAND!

1.8 out of 5 starsby priuspurchaser on 12/17/2009

It started off nice. Was looking for a new Prius which I know is hard to come by. They quoted a fair price and I put a credit card deposit down and was told it would arrive in about 3 weeks. Well no calls and when I finally asked what happened I was told by a woman on the phone that the car was damaged and could not be sold. Well I had the VIN number and found out it was NOT the truth. (NEVER LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS).They never owned nor had that car to sell. Then it was the old bait and switch routine; take another car like it---Stood my ground; knew which color; features I really wanted and was willing to wait a little for the right car. When I didnt hear back I went back to the dealership in person. Out of nowhere the car I wanted appeared but I would have to wait another month; and the price changed a little. They took off some features to get the price down. Then was razzle dazzled by them telling me they would throw in a free treatment for the the leather seats only to see on the invoice they padded the number a $100 to cover that cost. Then was hurried into the finance dept. and told to sign papers to guarantee the car. When asked for copies of the agreements and loan papers was told not until the car arrives. Maybe this is legal but totally unethical. I would have walked away but I needed the car since I was giving my old car to my sister who didnt have one and lost her job and at the same time was dealing with my father critically ill in hospital far away. I didnt have the time to look for another car or dealership. They knew this and it played to their advantage. When the car did arrive I was happy but the next day the brake light came on; took it to the service department; turns out they never put enough brake fluid in a brand new car (So much for dealer prep charges of $600!)...It nearly ruined my Thanksgiving. Then was told by the Customer Service Rep I would be compensated for all I had been through with a refund of a service contract for oil and tire rotation that I purchased with the car yet was not allowed to pay for separately. When I finally went back to the dealership in person to get this refund was told no such refund was promised (should I have been surprised by yet another poor customer experience there?) I reported this all to their Corporate office. Was told to my face by the manager to not do business there again! Guess hearing the truth from a customer and it getting back to them from their headquarters was more than they could handle. Still waiting for my service contract to be put into their service departments computer after 6 weeks!!! Shame I have to do their work and be treated so poorly. The only part I regret is that the one person there that seemed to try to help --my sales associate Jason ---is blamed by them for the whole bad experience. It wasnt his fault. Throwing him under the bus is not going to solve this dysfunctional dealership problems. Everyone else around him should work on being up front with their customers if they truly want repeat business. Tell the truth; return phone calls; dont make people sign legal documents and then lock them up and close the door; dont make promises you have no intention of keeping. They are lucky they are selling a good brand of cars.
  • It started off well, but ended poorly.

I was given an excellent Internet price ($21,441) on a new 2009 V6 Rav4 by Cleo. I arrived at the dealership and was assured that the car I wanted could be delivered the next day, so I filled out all of the purchase and finance paperwork. The next day I was informed that the car they had sold me was gone, as the dealership that owned it had also sold it. They said they would do whatever they could to make sure I got a car. For the next four days the only time they communicated with me was when I called and left messages (repeatedly). Each time the comments are the same: "Well, because the end of the month just passed, there just aren't as many cars on the lots anymore. We really have to search to find the car you want." (Except most Toyota dealerships allow you to search the inventory in your region, and the Southeast Region has consistently shown 35-45 new 2009 V6 Rav4s available with exactly the same options as the one I originally "bought". In fact, several of them are less than 50 miles away. In addition, I checked the status of the car with the Vehicle Identification Number that was on my paperwork, and could see that it had, in fact, disappeared from the inventory. I fail to understand why *I* can find appropriate cars left and right, and yet they seem to be having lots of trouble doing so.) At one point the sales manager, Lewis, said that he might be able to offer me a 2008 V6 Rav4 Sport instead, because it had been sitting on their lot for 300+ days. He promised to let me know about it the next morning. Of course, the next morning comes, and there is no information at all on this car. I have gotten no further information from them, the end of the month has passed, all of the incentives on the car are gone, and now I have to start my car search over from scratch. My wife is 39 weeks pregnant, and I wanted to buy a new car before she goes into labor, as my car is not suitable for children, as it is 18 years old, and lacks many of the safety features common on newer cars. (I actually had a discussion about *this very topic* while I was in the dealership with Leslie, as my wife is obviously pregnant, and was with me at the dealership. In fact, they made quite a big deal about the safety features of the car for children.) I'm ready, willing, and able to buy a new car, yet this dealer has fumbled every opportunity to actually sell me a car.
    • To be fair, I finally got to speak with the sales manager, Tucker. (I was mistaken; Lewis was evidently the inventory manager.) He explained that with low volume (40 cars divided over 5 states) most dealers were holding on to their stock, and so it was hard to get the cars in stock. I asked about the 2008 Sport model; they finally got around to offering it to me for $4,000 more than the previous price we agreed upon. I decided to pass on that offer, and I was told that I would get a call before noon the next day (today). I hadn't received a call at noon, and my wife was showing signs of early/pre-labor, so I drove back to the dealership and requested a letter stating that I didn't owe anything, and that the car that matched the VIN on my paperwork had been sold to someone else (which I got).

  • Best car buying experience ever!!

    5 out of 5 starsby jkrause1 on 10/17/2008

I purchased a Camry this past weekend and everything went perfectly. I got all of my purchase information from the Internet Dept. Team Toyota was the only dealership that was willing to give me the information I was looking for. The new Management team members at the dealership are top notch. No hassle buying experience! I was in and out in 45 minuets, even though they were very busy. Thanks again Team.

Don't waste your time with [non-permissible content removed]. I don't live close and negotiated on the phone for a new Tundra. Triple verified everything since it wasn't close by and I babysit my 13 month old granddaughter. I even made an appointment with dealership to sign the paperwork and go. When I arrived they said they "sold" the truck "last night" and wanted to sell me another one for almost $3000 more. Talk about shady bait and switch. They had me drive all this way to the dealership only to hit me with the ahhh shucks we just sold the car we agreed upon. I almost payed the higher price since I had dragged my wife and granddaughter all the way to the dealership. I even spoke with the manager and magically the sales person who sold the car could not be reached. I left dealership without being suckered into purchasing a truck for close to $3000 more. My word is my bond, it's sad Autonation's word means nothing. I wouldn't deal with purchasing something from this dealership if it's on the phone, email, online, or advertisement. There are lots of Toyota dealerships around Atlanta that aren't shady.
    • Hi, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We're sorry for the miscommunication with our sales team; this isn't reflective of our much higher levels of service. If you'd like, please contact our General Manager at (770) 674-6082. We'd appreciate the chance to make your experience a positive one.

We used truecar.com to find a price we would be comfortable paying, then went looking for a dealer who would honor the truecar price. Our local dealer didn't have the Corolla L we were looking for but promised one the next day, their color choice, at a price above what we were willing to pay. We went to have a look anyway and, upon arrival at the dealership, no car and none expected for another couple of days. Found Team Toyota online and had a price worked out before we ever went to the showroom. Kevin E. not only agreed to work with our price he actually got us into a Corolla LE at a price that beat the truecar.com estimate from some dealers on the Corolla L. No upsell, totally our decision. Kevin was there to help us find and get us into the exact vehicle we were looking for. Team's inventory far exceeded the availability of models and colors from other dealers. Huge selection, professional sales staff, prompt service - a truly pressure-free customer-centered sales approach. We hope Kevin's still at Team when we're ready for our next vehicle purchase. Team's is our go-to dealership for a new Toyota. Give 'em a look and I think they'll be yours too.

I purchased a 2013 Camry XE from Josh A. He was energetic, attentive, and thorough. Kerry the finance manager was efficient and personable making the paperwork process as painless as possible. The price of the car was perfect for me and the price given for my trade in was acceptable. Overall good experience.

After a couple of weeks researching the vehicle that I was buying, I requested quotes online. I spoke to 2 different sales people here, and did not like the way I was treated. I bought the car from another dealership that treated me with respect, and was willing to give a fair quote on the car I bought.

I bought a Camry 12 years ago, and, while very happy with it, I did not like this dealership. I went in knowing my reservations but wanted another Camry. Times have really changed. The process was much better, the sales person I worked with (Donald) very much kinder, knowledgable, and my overall experience extremely positive. I bought the car I wanted and am very happy.
