This dealership and my sales rep in particular made this process easy. As a six-time repeat lease guy, service and the personal touch make the difference. Easy transition into my next Cooper S!

by Rose4U2 on 10/10/2016Really great and everyone was very helpfulMini Car Service
by minilover16 on 09/23/2016updated 10/02/2016I notice my check engine light was on so I stopped by Mini on Saturday morning to get it looked over. The first gentleman to assist me was very nice and welcoming (sorry I did not get his name). After reviewing my car history, he referred… me to Josh for further assistance. As always Josh (Pruitt) was awesome! He put me in a loaner car and took care of all my car needs (radiator fix, oil change, and car wash). I was so happy with my service!Another Great Mini Service Experience
by JLEE201 on 09/22/2016updated 10/02/2016I hit a little traffic on the way to my appointment, so I was running behind schedule. The service team took me right in, performed my scheduled maintenance quickly and efficiently, and were as kind as ever!Poor workmanship
by Ambler001 on 09/30/2016I only took my Mini in for a routine oil change. When I got it back it was leaking oil which had never occurred before. I was advised that the hoses needed to be replaced because of some other work performed. Not true. Not a happy camper
by charliez1 on 12/17/2014I have a 2012 Mini Countryman S All4 and I like the car a lot. There are however many issues that worry me. It came with the 3 year 36k mile service included. Well, first, the alignment is NOT included. They evidently count that as tire… related and not regular maintenance. Also the clutch, from day 1, felt odd and not right. I have been driving clutch cars as my primary vehicle for 37 years. That thing made me feel like I did not know how to drive a clutch. I complained numerous times. Numerous. In November, I took it in and got the regular indicated service...oil change I believe but once again complained about the clutch. By this time it had started smelling whenever my wife or I drove it. It had 33k miles on it. We took it in; they did the service, checked another nag we had where something rattled underneath, like metal shielding and also checked the clutch again. It came back with oil change and everything else checked OK. I was NOT good with this. I talked to the service manager and he agreed to check the rattle. He also looked at the car and told my wife and I that, paraphrasing, "Oh, I saw that it was an All4, the clutches dont last in those and I am surprised yours lasted 33k miles" Like I said, that is very close to his statement...just not verbatim as I could not be confidant that I could remember every syllable. They took the car back in. A few hours later, got a call and went back to the dealer. Clutch replaced, shield on exhaust loosened and retightened and even washed. The Service manager stated that the clutch only had a couple MM left which was bad and that it did indeed need to be replaced. Funny how earlier it was ok and no problem found. My wife was PO'd. She couldn't believe that they would have let her leave with a clutch that had a problem as if it had been Ok if I hadn't pressed the issue. That would have been the case. Ok, I had done some research earlier. From what I gather, there was a problem with the original clutches in some 2011 and 2012 Countrymen but that Mini found the problem and changed the parts that were of issue. Problem is that they did not issue a recall, just a service bulletin to the dealers. From what I read, they only fixed the issue if you pushed the issue and some people were being charged for the repair. Some were warranted. So, I was not crazy and the clutch was screwy. Seems like a new drive since the new clutch was installed, no more "I forgot how to drive a clutch" feel. Now, I have a big issue with the problems with this vehicle and the dealer and also the way Mini handles this. So far, around 20-25K the brakes were done (free with the maintenance included) and it has had a new clutch. I have never heard of such a thing unless someone abuses brakes and clutch. Also to have known problems and after I complained numerous times to have to go out of my way to push the issue to get repaired.. NOT GOOD. Also Mini Atlanta has done a few things that I am not too happy about. First was that Alignment was not a maintenance issue included as maintenance (although they did do a freebie after I complained about the issue). Also, I had a coupon they issued in their mailer for an alignment check for $49 dollars that the service writer said they didn't do. I was told they only do alignments not checks. WELL, what the heck was the coupon I had in my hand? Am I crazy?? They mailed it and it states quite clearly $49 alignment check. In closing, although I love most things about the Countryman S All4, I am not a happy Mini owner and worry about coming issues and if and how they may be treated. I did not buy a new vehicle to put potentially thousands into it for repairs in the first 100k miles. Had I known, I would have purchased another brand. Nowadays it is crazy to think that you may have to have, according to experience with this vehicle, 4 sets of brakes and two more clutches before 100k is reached MINI COOPER are you listening??Disappointing Service and Parts Department
by Mini_Clubman on 09/24/2014Global Import Mini does not fail to DISAPPOINT, I called the part dept for a new battery for 08 Clubman, the guy put me on hold as soon as he answered the phone, he finally came back and I told him I needed a battery, he asked me for the… Amp hour and cold crank Amps, he gave me a price of $235. I asked him what the group size and if it was AGM battery. He said he did not know what AGM battery was and since the spec on the screen did not indicate it No CLUE. No effort to ask or look for the information. I called different Mini Dealer and this is what they told me. If the battery is 70ah/570 CCA the battery group size is H6/48 which is used in the BMW 1 series but if go to other part store and look up the battery it will show H5/47 @ 60ahr group which is smaller than the my original that was in my 08 Clubman. Disappointing - Called Jamey H. based on response posted, basically he apologized and he would let the service team know. My service adviser was Chris M. No resolution to the issue, if they really wanted to resolve this issue they could have contacted me directly not just post a response - they were not expecting any one to call based on the response. Before you buy a Mini check out the service, they will promising the world and their service reps go above and beyond to promise that they will take care of any issue but when they really need to back up their promise just hollow promises. Talking to other Mini Owner - Top answers they will give you for rough idle - You're not using tier 1 gas, Carbon buildup on intake Manifold, Fuel Injectors needs cleaning. My Problem was a Faulty Fuel Pump that is on a Recall not Carbon build up on intake manifold. $700 for repair that was not needed. He Agreed that they should have tried the fuel pump first instead of doing the carbon cleaning on the manifold ( Big Profit Margin). Get a Second Opinion I have been taking my mini to be serviced to Global Import Mini since I bought the car in 2008. They lost my trust today, last month I brought my mini in for a check engine light (I checked the code and it was for an engine misfire) and a coolant leak. I was told that the water pump was bad and the check engine light was due to Carbon build up on the intake manifold. I told them I just had the carbon build up cleaned 30k miles ago. I was questioning the carbon buildup diagnosis of issues with the mini cooper since it was cleaned by them. I had them fix the issue at a cost of $700 per item for repair. This is a known issue due to the Design of the engine where the oil vapors are recirculated through the intake manifold and direct fuel injection system does not wash over the intake valves to keep them clean of deposits and the turbo models are worst about this. I checked with other mini owners and Carbon build up does happen but not every 30k miles. They told me they found a code in the on-board diagnostic for fuel pump and they were going to be replaced it to be on the safe side and it was covered under the warranty. Wow that was nice of them so I thought. This is where they lost my trust and I have to question everything now. I found out today that there was a recall on the fuel pump and all the symptoms I was having was due to the fuel pump and not carbon build up. It's a shame that they would tack on service just to make a sales quota. I just had the mini in for a scheduled maintenance and they did not address the recall on the fuel pump, the recall on for the fuel pump was already published at that time. I got the same line about it was the gasoline issue that it was not 3 tier fuel. I use nothing but premium from QT or Exxon. It's ironic that when the car was under warranty they just did the minimum work but once out of warranty all there are all kinds of services required. Warranty work is not as profitable as regular service but push service that may not be required to make sales quota. They lost my trust. I will have to find another place for service.I hear ya, similar unhappy tales.
